Which has left over homemade dressing which was white wine vinegar and olive oil. If I had had tuna with my salad I could understand it but white wine vinegar and olive oil??

I had a cat who would beg for a piece of melon if you had some

Another who would steal button mushrooms and eat them...raw

melon cat once ate chillies from a plant I grew, and he liked cabbage

One of my current cats adores peas and braad beans...peas he will eat from the garden or frozen and he will beg for broad beans or pods, he is also the one who drinks bean water from tins

Cats are weird

Cheese and Onion crisps are the popular item with beautiful moggy girl. Arrogant posh boy doesn't care as long as it's food.
Lovely angel boy used to love chinese take away a hang over from his time on the streets before he came to me.

Why oh why are there so many crazy cats and why do they want to eat human food? Mine loves banana milk, chips, corn, rice pudding, all that I can understand but still not getting the salad dressing snack.

Because cats like to steal people food... my boys like any sauce - ketchup, brown, mayo etc. and they once stole and ate a piece of mango!

My cats are always far more interested in food on my plate than the stuff in their own bowls.

Even when DH goes fishing and cooks and gives them offcuts of the fish he has caught, they ignore that and wait until I have made fishcakes or fish pie out of the rest before they move in for a taste.

One of my cats will do anything for a bit of pizza, another goes totally bonkers for fried eggs and mashed potatoes.

I also can't have flowers in the house because the cats eat them. Carnations being a special favourite of theirs to nibble.

Possibly this salad dressing slurping is a simple case of cats just being weird little thieves. But my cats also go nuts for oils or greases of any kind. Butter or bacon grease is preferred, but olive oil or sunflower oil is perfectly acceptable to them and if they discover some they will lick it - no matter what it is mixed with.

They really are funny little things.

I remember the day my cat, when less than 2 years old, ate some daffodils and was sick all over my flat. They are poisonous to cats so had to rush her to the vet. I have never been so worried about an animal in all my life. With age comes common sense though as the previous owner of our house planted loads in our garden and she gives them a wide berth.

Another one of his favourite things is to munch on plastic, like crisp packets, we had to move where we stored them so as not to get soft crisps when we picked up a packet!

My black and white ballerina girl begs for banana and chases grapes around the floor before eating them.

Furry ginger fluffboy prefers baked beans, bread - and I caught him trying to steal a homemade ginger cake yesterday - it was in a plastic bag on the side!!

TastesLikePanda that's virtually catibalism - ginger fluffboy is called Mango Shock

My cat loves peas, he will impale one on a claw and bring it delicately to his moggy mouth. Love him.

Heheheh! My old kitty used to LOVE olive oil - I have v.v. dry skin & (believe it or not) Olive oil is v good for this. When I put it on my legs she used to come running over and lick me! :) Bless her stupid heart!

Also used to tear open chocolate bars and lick a hole in them (even though cat's can't taste sweet things?!) and was always far more interested in leftovers if they were left on my plate - would studiously ignore any tidbits I put into her bowl!

My cat Tallulah.....

Marmite.
Chocolate milk.
Strawberry yoghurt.

She also howls like a crazy person to go in the shower (when the water's off!!) She sits looking at the shower head for a few minutes and then comes out and lies on the shower mat.

Bonkers!

I have a cat that loves pesto and hates prawns! He will also drink vegetable/olive oil if given half a chance.

My other cat loves pancakes, even with lemon juice and sugar on them. Hmm I'm sure cats are meant to hate citrus...
