Yesterday we went out for a bike ride. I've just got a new bike (second hand off ebay) and we'd been gone 5 minutes and I knew it was going to be awful. My bony bottom bits are in agony today. The front of the saddle is fine and not causing any discomfort. It was so uncomfortable i had to keep stopping or standing up on the pedals.

Can anyone recommend a comfy for the bony bottom cheap saddle?

I had a secondhand bike that looked like it had a really comfy seat. It was agony.
I went to my local bike store and was measured for a seat. You sat on a gel pad, your bones make an impression and they measure the distance apart. They had to order the seat -it looked like it was going to be sooo uncomfortable, But the first ride was heavenly. The best £50 I have ever spent. It was a Specialized Brand seat "biogeometry" Call first to make sure they have a measuring pad. Only one store in WOrcester did.
