I have just remembered, I drew the curtains one morning earlier this year and there was a woodpecker sitting on the lawn! He was their for ages but if he has been back, I've not seen him again sad

it's great isn't it? i was watching them again cleaning the windows earlier and the big boss blackbird has moved in on them all now - have seen our robin square up to him a few times too.

not bad for a grassless north facing back garden soap

Blue tits can be big bullies- they're always squabbling in my garden.

'Our' robin has also been known to follow behind dh squawking at him when he's cutting the grass - they're very territorial. grin

Yes, it's great to wastes hours watching what goes on.

started garden wars, that's what [regretful emoticon]

a robin is strutting up and down on the fence around the paved area, whilst he's being dive-bombed by some blue tits sad

i think another pile of meal worms at the other side of the patio is in order

t'is fun to watch though, think this robin is a bit of a softy grin he's pretending not to see now wink
