Walking etc On your own or with friends?

My DH has all good intentions but when it comes to actually getting off his bum and doing stuff hes a bit lazy. I find that dragging my children are so long walks etc on my own can get a bit lonely.
Do always go on your own, with your family or do you go with friends of groups of other people as well

Mostly I walk the dog alone [tiny violin]

Once a week I go on a long walk with a friend and on the weekends if I can get them on side we will go out all together as a family.

I like doing both but am very glad come monday morning to go out by myself and walk at my pace, with my own thoughts in my head.

I love walking by myself with the dogs. Like the poster above, I love Mondays for this reason. I even go places where I know i'm unlikely to run into people!

If I did not walk on my own I would be living somewhere with rubber wall paper by now. The forest keeps me sane.

I do worry though about having an accident and not being found for weeks hence my extensive collection of hi viz gear. I also worry about meeting an axe wielding maniac in which case the hi viz gear would be counterproductive.

I meant I find walking with the kids lonely. Sounds silly but we don't go as far and it will be places like the local woods where there are lots of other families and even groups. (the apes being my offspring)

I like walking on my own, i just don't get to do it.

I guess my problem is further reaching really and more about needing adult conversation

I'm always having to drag DH out at the weekend, he would rather stay at home! I'm doing a nine-mile walk on Saturday entirely alone, and can't wait (as long as it doesn't rain!)

Bronze I am always up for midweek walks with the DCs (we met at the first Norwich meet last year!)

Good thanks though I have yet to pass my theory, have a fear of tests. have to fit around dh being in the country too so taking a while
