The brown lady is my old girl who died in September aged 14.

The black one is our baby from a kill-pound, she's now almost 7 months old. (Sorry, I mean a pound that kills their dogs after 1 week)

Lovely girls! Sorry you lost your old girl.

I have posted on the wild things thread but always happy to show him off grin. 19 mnth old BT

mrssmith79 Thu 13-Mar-14 23:50:56

Selfie!! Our little terror. No idea how old she is but we got her from the council pound about five years ago (in a heartbreaking condition) and they guessed she was about two then.

EvenBetter Thu 13-Mar-14 23:56:48

I love them!!
Thank you, Fanof, it's still awful, we ,is her so much. She was a once in a lifetime girl.

YoniMatopoeia Fri 14-Mar-14 00:40:40

My boy Joe. Ex working dog, and trial dog, described as the most accomplished and consistent dogs in the UK with over 80 Open Trial wins. Now retired and a soft thing thinks that I am the boss (clever dog).

Dontwanttobeyourmonkeywrench Fri 14-Mar-14 00:47:43

The one on the left of the screen is my girl AKA Trouble and the big head belongs to my boy AKA Huffy. I never think that they are that big but Huffy's head reaches my hip and I'm 5'2 grin Trouble is slightly smaller but they are both as mad as hatters grin

MartyrStewart Fri 14-Mar-14 00:48:10

Here are The Boys smile Although ball of fluff is a huge bloody thing now.

Plus our old girl, still sadly missed. We often joke it took two dogs to replace her.

basildonbond Fri 14-Mar-14 05:40:00

My nearly 8 month old Toller. He's just fabulous and so infectiously happy that it raises my spirits just to look at him (have had unbelievably crap year otherwise)

On the left: my rescue samoyed x (crossed with something small who I'm thinking was a collie x corgi amongst other things) who will be one year old tomorrow, and on the right my mum's rescue rottie x (we're thinking rottie x goldie) who is 3 or 4 now.

NCISaddict Fri 14-Mar-14 11:57:23

In the right is my Golden Retriever boy. He's almost 2, bonkers, bouncy and soft as butter

On the left is little dog who I found as a stray and took in for a week until her owner was found. I was sad to say goodbye to her.

It's great to be able to put faces to the dogs you post about grin Posted on the puppies thread but happy to repost. This is Eric, he's a poodle shih tzu cross and he's 11 weeks old.

Goldencity1 Fri 14-Mar-14 14:24:00

topknob Fri 14-Mar-14 14:58:08

Loving this thread...also the fact there is not a show off your kids thread grin

Here is Jess, she is almost 6.

moosemama Fri 14-Mar-14 16:58:49

Oh my, Diesel is scrumptious - just my type! grin

Tried to post mine on here, twice, earlier but it wouldn't work. Will try again.

First is one of Oldgirl, who we lost to Osteosarcoma last April. It was taken just after she had an op on her ear, obviously, so she wasn't looking her best, but it's the only picture I have of her on this computer.

Second is my loopy Lurcher pup, Pip, taken before Christmas. He is now 9 months old, has grown several inches since then and is now rocking the long legged supermodel look, having reached 27" at the shoulder and still growing like a weed! shock Not bad considering how little and weak he was when he came to us as a very poorly pup at 10 weeks old. smile

Last picture is my lovely Lurcherboy. Genuinely the sweetest natured dog in the world. He's another Lurcher, obviously and despite having a good chunk of Deerhound in his mix, giving him a sturdy build and gorgeous scruffy coat, he is vertically challenged compared to Pip at only 24" tall. grin I had a better picture lined up, that showed him in all his scruffy gorgeousness (this picture was taken the day we brought Pip home, when Lurcherboy was a touch underwhelmed) but I've tried to upload it four times now and MN just doesn't seem to like it for some reason. hmm

moosemama Fri 14-Mar-14 16:59:51

Can't believe how many lovely photos I missed while my pictures were uploading!

My little girly looking innocent- an inveterate knicker thief!

She steals them from the wash bin, has a good old chew and then stock piles them behind the apple tree in our garden.

The gardener was a bit puzzled! blush

The other photo was as an 8 week old puppy.

I found Shirley on the Motorway, when she was about 3 months old.She is now 7yo.

lampygirl Fri 14-Mar-14 19:31:20

Here's Millie my lovely little Berner, she's 9 weeks today, absolutely adorable and such a calm pup, apart from a funny 5 minutes after food, where she runs rings round me.

My first puppy experience, and can honestly say i'm knackered but I love it, so rewarding seeing her get her head round sit and learning her name. Mostly dry at night now on 2 hour intervals, hoping to go to 3 hour intervals soon after she's dry for a few more days on this routine.

Dontwanttobeyourmonkeywench Fri 14-Mar-14 19:34:17

Quick hijack to say "Look Vicar. I NC as per your suggestion!" Now to go and walk the hell hounds. It's cold and neither one looks like they are planning on moving away from the radiator despite the leads draped temptingly on the sofa....

Love it.

Ziggyzoom Sat 15-Mar-14 18:17:27

Another Springer! He was watching the sun go down from the threshold of our Northumbrian holiday house!

Why is my Springer such a scruffy git? He is like a sheep. Not silky and clean.

Ziggyzoom Sat 15-Mar-14 18:26:41

He's a mud-magnet, he doesn't always look like that! We don't wash him though, he just gets a hose down on his lower portions - I don't know if that helps?

Preferthedogtothekids Sat 15-Mar-14 18:31:47

My collie-boy Charlie McFuzzybutt who is a four year old rescue dog. He came to us in October 2011 from Friends of the Animals (RCT) in Wales. We brought him up to live with us in Scotland. He is an awesome chap and a wonderful advert for rescue dogs.

Nah. See my picture up there. My boy has a very thick coat. I never bath him but do have to have him clipped in the summer or he gets too hot.

He swims a lot.

HicDraconis Sat 15-Mar-14 18:41:35

Velvet (6 months) & Domino (18 months)

HicDraconis Sat 15-Mar-14 18:45:15

Velvet on the beach and on the rug (just before we put it away for safekeeping...) I should have more of Domino but I don't - every time I go to take a picture he comes up for a cuddle!

TedGlen Sat 15-Mar-14 18:56:36

Love your baby Toller, basildonBond. Here's my elderly one, snoozing as usual! He's 16, and quite sprightly when he's awake.

I just found this photo of Storm when we first brought him home. So sweet - he looks like a piglet!

And another more recent one. I've got more photo's of my animals than my children blush

My little shih tzu buster. He is 8 this year

Great thread, particularly like the rescue stories, going to rescue next time.

I do love her

badasahatter Wed 26-Mar-14 22:24:06

My little girl also loves the snow. She's barking, not in the picture, just in barking mad. She's cuddly and fluffy and she tries to kill everyone with kindness when they walk in the door. She's like my child...borderline neglected, but loved beyond reason and more disciplined than she should be under the circumstances.

badasahatter Wed 26-Mar-14 22:27:07

I just thought...I think that's my dog, but it could be a library picture that looks remarkably like her. Just in case I've fecked's another couple....

LadyTurmoil Thu 27-Mar-14 08:03:25

Love the pictures - the one with the balloon dog is so funny boots! Poor dog looks very confused grin

This is my gorgeous girl. We rescued her about 5 years ago and we think she is 10 now . She has a foot and shoe fetish- the second photo shows her fast asleep on my huge slipper. She often manages to find it and pull it out to snooze on.

Just looking at her makes me smile.

Bithurt Fri 04-Apr-14 07:49:03

My wee furbaby. Japanese Shiba Inu called Kai. He's getting on a bit now but still daft as a brush. Been fantastic with my daughter (now 4). Normally can't let this breed off lead but it was a quiet beach and DH and DD were both within running distance lol!!

And now my mums dog,

Three legged rescue, found left for dead by a road, with broken leg which was then amputated. He was a few weeks old.

Now a big bouncy happy boy, with a huge fan club, loved to bits.

Our rescue Ben. He is gorgeous but very old now. I had hand holding on here recently when I found a lump on him. It was nothing sinister but I appreciated the support. Course he tried to remove the lump himself, underwent fairly major surgery and despite his great age, recovered well.

EvenBetter Wed 06-Aug-14 00:58:37

They're all so gorgeous! I would be cooing at every one of them if I saw them out on a walkie!
