Hi - our puppy will have his second vaccinations on the 27th - brother and sil due for xmas on the 28 th for two days. They want to bring their dog - 6 year old bichon fraise fully vaccinated and health checked. The vet nurse says no - but people with older dogs must let a puppy round them - we wouldn't be taking him out and would not let him round Lily's poo - is it a risk I shouldn't take?

I.e. Enclosed garden as per normal - if people introduce a puppy into a house with an older dog do they wait until a week after second vaccinations or is the risk really public areas?

My vet said that as soon as my boy had his second set he'd be fine to walk in public as the first set would be good enough. Equally, i think a fully vaccinated dog will be ok with your pup. Walking in public can expose to the unvaccinated

After the first set our vet said the pup could meet vaccinated dogs and he got out for walks a week after the second lot.
