Anyone have a dog cave bed?

So our lurcher is allowed to sleep next to our bedroom on a folded quilt on the floor. Some nights he sleeps through but some nights inc last night he tried three times to jump on our bed to sleep.
We're wondering if he's getting cold as it seems to be getting worse (he never gets to stay).
I'd be happy to invest in a cave bed if it would solve the problem but of course I won't know that until we have it so I wondered if anyone else has any experience of them, partilcarly sighthound owners?

I tried a cave type bed for my whippets and most of the time they just ended up squashing it down and sleeping on top of it rather than in it Hmm

They have become very adept at managing to get inside the covers of their Tuffie beds though, I keep meaning to buy them a tunnel cover for their mattress one.

I'd love to get them a Charley Chau snuggle bed as they look so comfy but knowing my lot they'd randomly decide it'd be better with the stuffing on the outside.

Does he have pyjamas or a fleece house coat for night time? Might be cheaper than buying a new bed?

My friend has a whippet and he has a similar bed to Charley Chau beds a PP has mentioned and he lives in it!
I looked after him for a weekend a while back and she didn't bring it round so I spent the whole weekend folding blankets in half, holding one side up and waiting for him to climb in then covering him over.
It was expensive iirc but it's been worth the money.

Our ddog has a Charley Chau snuggle bed and he's obsessed with it. It's as hot an an oven inside when he sleeps in there.

Before we got him that, we used to put his 'day' bed by a portable radiator for the night and slipped on some dog pyjamas to keep him extra warm in winter.

Try a HIK9 bed with a snuggle tunnel.

Those snuggle tunnels look great. Our pup is still a touch destructive but I've bought one off eBay for £10!

My pointer has a duvet! She has perfected the art of snuggling underneath it. She can even move it from her cage to her tuffie bed. (She is also known for walking about the house with it still draped over her back 🙄)
Ive looked at snuggle beds, cave beds etc but can't see that they would be any better than a duvet so went for the cheaper option. Might be worth a try before spending money on abed that they might not figure out how to use.
