So my dogs been restless all night. Doesn't want cwtches, wants to be out all the time (not happening at this time of night, 10 minutes OK but she wanted to be out all the time), not interested in toys or settling down. After a bit of barking/whining I've just made her bed up, given her fresh water and put her in and shut the door. I've listened by the door and can't hear any crying. Only thing is I'm feeling so mean now for putting her in while she's upset. I suspect she's just playing up but still I feel guilty. Want to open the door and check on her but if I do I might disturb her. It's out of character for her too

Hmmmm, I'd be wondering what's up? Maybe a storm on the way? Anyway, she'll be fine, if she's not crying.

I'm guessing upset stomach and you may wake up to watery diarrhoea tomorrow (I hope for your sake that I am wrong)

My dog was similar a while back and I woke up to a shitfest the next day

I've given in now and got her in the living room, she's finally starting to drop off so that's good. Will leave stairs door open in case she wants to come up in the night and leave cwtch door open so if she needs a wee or something she can go on the papers. She's stopped whining now too. Won't mind cleaning any accidents and leaving her in living room as it's warmer and also were more likely to hear her through night. Did try putting her on dads bed about hour ago not she wouldn't settle, now she has maybe it's best to leave her where she is. She sleeps a lot during the day so maybe why she's not been so tired

If my dog was like this, it would be due to one of his occasional upset stomachs, usually accompanied by a lot of gurgling noises from his tum.
Hope your girl is better today and more settled.

She's back to her old self today. Was sleepy this morning no doubt due to the late night last night. Been waggling her tail, playing with toys, eating and drinking normally so it must have Been an off night. Right now she's running around in the rain trying to catch birds and barking at the neighbourhood cats

Rain and high winds will get mine all worked up.

Full moon sometimes puts my ddogs a bit out of kilter and restless at night. It's been very bright here for the last few nights.

From your use of "cwtch" I'm guessing you're in Wales. I am too and we had quite a big storm last night. Maybe your Ddog could hear / sense something you couldn't?
