.... before I actually stuff him in a sandwich and eat him. He is THE cutest thing I have ever seen. After spending the early weeks -months- wondering what the hell I'd done, and mopping up pee and poo everywhere, I can't believe quite how much I love the little guy. And my children worship him.

I just wanted to say that. And to reassure those with a pup that it gets so much better. Teddy is now 11 months and we couldn't be without him (even if everything we now do has to factor him in!).

Thanks for reading ... and for your help on here.

Teenage daughter and I actually text each other to say 'come through here quickly to save Teddy. I am about to squeeeeeze him to death'.

Ahem. I never thought I'd become one of THOSE mad doggy ladies Blush

That's so nice! We have a four month old puppy and while the chewing and peeing is frustrating I'm getting more and more flashes of how your feeling. I'm surprised by how much I love him Grin

We do need photos though to prove his cuteness. This is my Dexter

Deeexter, I loves your cuteness!!

It's so subjective isn't it, like a mother's love, but I will post some photos later!

Funny, but back in the early days of puppy ownership, someone on here posted a similar loved up puppy post ... and I wanted to scratch the OP's eyes out Wink

Now I totally get it (but then having them toilet trained is a total game changer!).

Grin I would like to eat my dog as well. Sometimes when she's piddled in the house I do threaten to make a stew out of her. She just looks at me and wags her tail.

When we're out and she does something good or wonderfully cute I find myself talking to her through gritted teeth because I have cute rage. I think people in the park think I've got a speech issue or my two jaws wired together Blush

I quite fancy roast retriever for tea.
I have cleaned through, hovered and washed all the floors. Oldie Goldie has just come in smelling of something disgusting, her feet are filthy and so is the floor now and to cap it off she has had a snooze on the sawdust near the woodwork so is shedding that as well as fur.
Wibu to stuff her in the oven?
