My naughty 12 month old puppy has just managed to get hold of his treat bag which was full of treats. He has eaten both bag and treats! The bag is this one www.petsathome.com/shop/en/pets/mini-treats-training-bag
Do I need to do anything? Will he bring it up/pass it through.

I am beginning to panic a bit now and would really like a bit of advice. Should I ring the vets?

I would call the vet if the whole bag has gone, the toggle bit could be a blockage risk. Good luck!

What breed is he? It could cause a blockage but there would be vomiting and he would be listless. You might see some straining to poo as well.
If he seems well, I'd keep an eye on what he passes over the weekend and go from there.

Thank you both for your advice. It'a the toggle that I'm worried about to Costa. He is a beagle Five. I missed out his feed tonight thinking that might help his poor tummy. He is in his crate and seems ok at the moment.

Just keep an eye on him and see if he wants his food as normal tomorrow. At least you'll know if there is something amiss if he doesn't eat.

UPDATE - puppy has just passed the toggle and some of the drawstring. I am very impressed with the transit time. Just the bag to go. He seems to be his normal self eating, drinking and playing , so I am beginning to relax a bit now.

Excellent. He may have got away with it!

Hope the bag comes through soon:)

My dog ate two ears off one of her toys when she was a puppy, took a couple of days to come through, although that's the longest we've ever waited. Most things seem to appear pretty quickly.

Why do they do these things? Stupid creatures.

Still no bag. Should I seek help if it doesn't appear in the next day or two? He seems fine enough, eating, drinking and pooing.

If he's eating and pooing and his abdomen doesn't seem swollen or painful he may be ok. Dog's have very acid stomachs, more than humans, so it may have been broken down. Just keep an eye on him, make sure he's acting normal - if you're concerned take him to the vet for an x ray

Thanks everyone. I'll just play the waiting game and see what happens now.
