wounded pointy ! damn damn damn

We have two inseperable ex racing greyhound , who we exercise over our fields at home. When they get to the last field, they always play the same stalking game, big dog sneaking up on daisyhound , and her pretending she hasn't seen him before both leaping in the air and pelting hell for leather down the last field for home, before eventually bouncing to a halt. On Sunday they did exactly the same, but daisyhound suddenly pulled up, hopped a few strides , then went indoors , so I thought she'd pulled something . Monday she was still sore so I got her into the vets yesterday . Suspected break , so back today for xray, which shows she's split two of her toe bones. She might lose the toe . I'm not happy. Nor is she.

Poor pointy ,that sounds painful . My dog had a toe amputated a couple of years ago and although it was a bugger getting it to heal it hasn't been a problem since .
