The doghouse

Is this a sign of coming into season?

Not sure if bitches do this when coming into season, i have heard of dogs doing it...!

7 month old lurcher has been unsettled all day, she is asleep now next to me but she has been faffing around the doors and windows all day. She has been out and about loads, we have a huge garden with wood and separate enclosed field which she runs in, all no problem.

She has twice escaped through the hedge (found the tiniest hole ever, didn't get far, we saw her go through, chicken wire being purchased and installed first thing!)

When i took her out on the lead earlier she seemed desperate to get out.

It is very out of character. She is ok now though like i say.

Any ideas please?

mine is having first season now 10 months. She paid rather alot of attention to her bits before hand, was much sleepier than norm, quite undociable to (shes usually a cuddly thing but wanted space), she kept circling her bedding (nesting) , she went off her canine friends to, didnt seem to want to walk (very unlike her). No escaping but they are all different. Though Ive heard they wont accept a male dog till day 10-15 , my pup no interest in any dogs till this week( week 3) . We are avoiding the outside world as she is def after it now ;-)
