My old ddog had a lump in his ear it turned out to be a blood blister where he had shaken his head too much and burst a blood vessel.

Yes if it's fairly soft and palpable then it may be an aural haematoma caused as Loki described. Our dog has had two: first was treated surgically, cost a fortune and caused a lot of stress. Second was treated with steroids and cost about 40 quid!

Have you got an appointment?

Our dog's lump almost felt like an air bubble in his ear.

My boxer had a lump in her ear- caused by rough play with the other boxer.

She sat on the vet nurses knee and let the vet drain it without anaesthetic!!
