Many of you will have seen my threads about my extremely anxious and aggressive pup. He went to what I thought would be the perfect home for him last Thursday, but he wouldn't settle at all and I got a call yesterday evening saying it wasn't working out and she couldn't deal with his aggression. So he's back here. Which is a bit of a pain if I'm honest as I'm supposed to be going on holiday in the morning!

I'm going to have to PTS arent I? I'm currently trying to find a kennels that will take him at short notice to cover my holiday, but long term it's looking like rehoming is out :( Poor little chap was just utterly terrified at being left with a stranger; he spends most of his life terrified, which is pretty shitty for him :(

Juliet, please take him to the vets to pts.
I know it is a horrid decision but thad after thread of people offering you (as far as I can see) unanimous advice.

It's awful for the poor dog and for everyone else concerned at the minute.

Unfortunately my vets aren't open today and we're supposed to be leaving for our holiday at 8am in the morning so it's sonething I'm going to have to try and delay until I get back, if I can find somewhere for him to go. Bloody hell, I was really hopeful that a new home would work out for him :(

Is there another vets anywhere within reasonable distance?

Sometimes PTS is not the worst thing for a dog it can't be a good quality of life to be scared all the time so scared that your aggressive.
My father had to PTS his dog in a similar situation, she was deaf from birth and only had sight in one eye but lived happily for two years till the sight started to go in the other eye then got aggressive and crazy so PTS was the best option for her.
Sometimes PTS is the best option for everyone.

I'm going to ring round the vets. I'm home alone with ds though today and don't really want him to have to come with me :(

I saw your last thread. Sorry it didn't work out. It really sounds like this dog had a very poor quality of life - being terrified all the time must be awful.

I remember your other threads, think you've done all you can.
Please try and get him pts before you go away though - our vet has an out of hours as putting him in a kennel would very traumatic for him by the sounds of it .

In your other threads you said that his breeder would probably take him back ,could they not take him today and then if it doesn't work out with them give them permission to PTS and tell them you will pay the vets fees .

Vets always have an out of hours emergency number. Please don't let this poor little chap suffer any longer.
