When to drop the lunchtime food?

Woody is 5 months old. He is raw fed and eats less that the recommended 8% of body weight that was recommended by the place I getbthe food from.
Lunch is very rarely eaten so am I right in thinking I can start to drop that meal now?
And is it ok for his teatime meal to be the largest even though all he does from then on is sleep? Smile

you can feed him two meals a day now. I have kept two meals as an adult as I think its kinder on the tummy. mine gets a third of his food for brekky and two thirds for his tea. he sleeps all evening, one full contented dog Smile

Thanks gymbob.
Should I do it gradually? Silly question actually I suppose, he's doing it gradually himself by not eating much lunchGrin

just give him his lunch time portion at breakfast or dinner or split it between the two meals. i think to compensate for missing out a meal i moved breakfast later and dinner a bit earlier and he shouldnt notice too much. not sure how you can miss out a meal gradually! my boy always has a dentastix for his supper too. I wonder if that's three meals for him?! no matter as long as your dog gets his daily allowance Smile

Our boxer boy is just gone eight months and still gets lunch. He looks for it and does not eat all his bigger meals if we try to go to one third at brekky and two thirds dinner. It's no big deal for us but I guess we should ease him into two meals at some stage.

Our 11 month old is still on 3 meals, we have reduced the lunch one right down but it has been a struggle. Would love to drop to 2 meals, our old dog gradually stopped eating the third meal so was easy, this pup is proving more of a challenge (in more ways than one!)

Sod's law. Today he slept after puppy training then came looking for lunch about 1pm and ate loads??
It doesn't suit us to give him a later breakfast during the week as I have to leave for the school run quite early and I want him to have digested and been to the toilet if necessary before I go. Even this morning, a later lazy Sunday breakfast, he only ate half of what I gave him.
He's just keeping me on my toes isn't he? Smile
