At least there are 50 survivors. Dog lovers will rally round - I'm sure many will step forward to foster.

I am filled with rage that someone could do that. Those poor dogs relied on human kindness, and some evil little shit comes along. He/she is a waste of space.

Please , please support the other local rescues who will have to catch the slack as it were in the coming weeks.
Without the facility, so many stray dogs will need to be accommodated in already struggling rescues. The pound takes in at least three councils strays. Smaller rescues might be overwhelmed so please don't forget them.

Just heard this , so heartbreaking. Will go there on Saturday to take some food and blankets but wish I could do more. Never say this about threads on here but am in tears over this.

What a waste of oxygen the 'person' who did this is.

hmc · 11/09/2014 21:15

Most of those dogs have already had difficult lives and that is why they are in the shelter....and then this happens

Report
Lovethesea · 11/09/2014 21:16

If it wasn't bad enough being in kennels and stressed already, now the survivors have another awful experience to recover from.

Poor dogs and poor staff. I imagine most rescues can't afford good sprinkler systems or anything that would've helped like automatic door openers if the alarm went Sad

Initial reports say a boy has been arrested.
