He's currently on a Butchers wet food and James Wellbelowed dry food for puppies mix. Is that ok, or should I be looking into other brands? What shall I steer clear of?

Bakers is awful, it would be like feeding it McDonald's everyday

I've heard that about Bakers, so am steering well clear of it.

James Well beloved is good. Get rid of the Bakers crap.

Butchers isn't the same as Bakers.

Butchers tripe mix is ok (the other kinds aren't as good) james well beloved is ok...there are much worse foods and there are better ones.

The best foods have no grain or other fillers, and a named meat that is the first listed ingredient.

Thanks Tabula. Will look for grain free stuff. James Wellbelowed is a bit too expensive for me- it's ok whilst he's still a pup, but unsustainable long term. Are there any cheaper alternatives?

There's a website where you can compare dog foods.

For what it's worth I think james well beloved is overpriced for the quality of it, so yes, you should fairly easily be able to find something cheaper that's ok.
