My puppy has slight green discharge comming from her nose, there is no sneezing or coughing. She is a bit quiet but I put that down to the heat maybe I'm wrong. Can't get to the vet as it closes at five but will take her first thing in the morning. Should I be worried? what, (if any thing) could be wrong.

At just 12 weeks old, I think you should call the out of hours vet to discuss all symptoms and take qualified advice.

A green discharge can mean any number of things, including an infection and as puppies go downhill SO fast, I would absolutely not wait until tomorrow without that qualified opinion.

If it were an adult dog, I would happily wait until the morning, but not with a very young pup in this weather.

Does it come from one nostril or both? Both nostrils likely to be infectious cause, one nostril less likely to be infection more likely to be foreign body.

Thanks daisy I did ring the vet not long after posting this as I was worried about her.

We had a good talk and she made me a appointment for first thing in the morning. Puppy has eaten her food no problems and is bouncing about as I type.

She had her second set of needles including kennel cough a couple of days ago so don't no if that has anything to do with it but I did say to vet I would bring her straight over to her if I needed to but she said puppy would be fine till morning.

Ah kennel cough it only goes up one nostril and can cause a mild rhinitis after vaccination.
