I found a lump on my dog

He isn't very well tonight. He has been sick. His breakfast came up undigested. Which considering her had eaten it 10 hours earlier is odd. He has vomited up bile too. Very down, feeling sorry for himself, a little confused too. While I was stroking him and generally making a fuss of him I found a large lump. It is an odd shape, is hanging and part of it is joined onto his flesh. Its in his front leg pit (I want to say armpit!). He is very hairy and previously I thought he had some hair coming out in a lump but its definitely growing on him. I would say its grown quickly. Obviously I am phoning the vet first thing but I just need a common sense, it's going to be ok talking to.

Poor thing - take him to the vets first thing as it sounds as if he has the same symptoms that my dog had over the weekend. The vets performed an operation this morning and removed a tumour from his stomach - he is still at the vets recovering....

I know its scary, but take him as soon as you can -the vets will know what to do xx

Thank you. I read your thread when I came over here to post. I hope your little one will be ok. I feel really worried, my DH is away and I don't want to tell him over the phone. My imagination is going big time.

As sweetie pie says please get him vet checked. It could be something, but it could be nothing serious too. The vet will find out.
Please let us know what the vet says. Fingers crossed its easily treatable x

Yup. I said I would phone in my op. I am hovering, waiting til 8.30. My stomach is churning. I tried to give him his snack last night and he vomited. Instantly. During the night it was yellow bile which (hopefully) can bea sign of an empty stomach but he won't eat.
Sweetie Pie0 hope all is well today.
Actually I am going to call now. Someone will be there.

Appt made. After lunch. I am going to walk him now. If he struggles I will get an earlier one. Can't make to much fuss til the kids have left for school.

Good luck for you and your dog today, hopefully it's nothing serious.... No news on my Scottie so far, waiting for the vet to call..

They are not worried about the lump. He stopped being sick. He has a very sore back which I hadn't realised. She recommended acupuncture. Which I may try if its not too expensive. Well, Ben will try it

Wish pets could tell us how they are feeling - very difficult to gauge how they are feeling sometimes....
