...that Beehiving pup had left there following a foray out the dog door, into the garden, over a 5ft fence and hedge, into a chicken pen returning the same way with a chicken.

The chicken was fine by the way, a bit wet through being licked lovingly

We'll it turned out to be a chicken and egg situation because the next day she scaled the offence and brought home an egg DH has now raised the fence.

They're my chickens fortunately, so no apologies necessary. It was one of my old girls - she looked mightily peed off - like a very indignant great aunt
