I am currently adding Omega fish oils and multivitamins to my dog’s meals.
I’m just wondering if you have a breed that is likely to suffer from joint and arthritis problems, is it worth taking supplements like glucosamine before the problem arises?
Or only use it when advised by a vet?
Would taking these extra sups put strain on the dog’s liver?

My dog has arthritis and has been back and forth to Liverpool for surgery. The vet we see there is excellent and said that cod liver oil helps but the best supplement is green lipped muscle. You can buy them on the Internet in capsules (I think they're for humans). Glucosamine and chondroitin are more preventative but vet said a waste of money if there is arthritis already in the joint. Good luck.
