If anyone is looking for a puppy or rescue dog, have a look at Four Paws and Pro Dogs

They have some beautiful dogs at the moment

I wish I could adopt lots of these dogs - especially MrBuster (from 4paws) - but we already have 2 dogs, and can't manage any more.

If we were close enough, I would consider fostering.

One of our dogs is a rescue dog, and whilst she is a neurotic bitch with ishoos, we love her to bits, and the family wouldn't be the same without her.

There are so many dogs in rescues up and down the country, so if you are not near either of the ones in the OP, please do look at rescues in your area. Ddog2 came from the Dogs' Trust, and they were great throughout the whole process.

Hope Rescue

Sussex Pet Rescue

Wadars (Worthing & District) Animal Rescue

Hereford & Worcester Animal Rescue

I cannot personally recommend any of these - but perhaps others would like to add to the list...

Four Paws are an excellent rescue and I think will rehome nationally. They insist on all their dogs being fostered in a home before adoption - something I think is excellent, and really helps to ensure a very thorough picture is built up of the dog's character traits. This in turn helps to ensure a smoother adoption process. Smile They also do what I think should be more widely encouraged - they have a lovely regular tea party, involving large quantities of home made cake where you can go along and meet/say hello to their dogs needing homes or dogs that have been rehomed, in a pleasant hall in a relaxed environment. Cake and rescue dogs - heaven!

I have two dogs.

I have room for no more.

Now you've made me look at those cute little eyes and I want them all.

Meanie.

(Seriously though, my dogs I chose from breeders. Next time, although I hope I don't have the need too soon, I'm going down the rescue root. Although probably an older dog. I love the oldies)

Dammit you lot, quit showing me pictures of such beautiful dogs!

Both me and whoknowspup want to rehome one, but she is too young yet for another dog to be introduced except for MrBuster

YY to Pro Dogs being a fantastic rescue (got my boy from them earlier this year). Very flexible about rehoming suitable dogs with young children. They work using foster homes so you get a very well assessed dog.
