Can I have a little "good dog" moment please??

Have been working on whistle recall with my 1 year old golden (who has been called 'daft' by the vet!)

Tonight DH took him to go for a walk in the fields by our house but as soon as he went through the gate he realised it was a mistake (there had been cattle in the field until Wednesday and our dog loves cow poo) so he phoned me to try whistling for Bailey. I'm not good at judging distance but it was beyond shouting distance and the length of one side of a 2 acre field I've NEVER tried that distance before but went to the door and whistled. 5 seconds later I saw Bailey come bursting through the gate!! I was so proud.

He got a bit distracted halfway back so I did whistle again and he came straight to me. I NEVER thought I'd get him this well trained! Think DH was impressed too (he thinks the whistle is a bit of a faff but after seeing the effect tonight think he's more willing to use it now)
