The doghouse

Today i found the most gorgeous dog on the main road..... (a good story about a bull breed for a change).

So i was on my way into town, driving along the main road and there was a dog running in the road, cars were swerving to avoid him, no one seemed to be stopping so i pulled over, i opened my car door and was greeted with a waggly tail and lots of kisses from the most georgious dog, i think he must have been a Staffy x Mastif. He let me read his tag on his collar and he then followed me through his gat to his house whist wagging his tail and let me shut him back in.

Now i have recued a few dogs from being run over but most of them bark and most wont allow you onto their property without barking at you. This dog was so soppy and friendly.

I am a owner of a bull breed, i didn't think twice about pulling over (not like the people that kept driving), i just wanted to share with people that are a bit warry of bull breeds (due to the bad press they get) what a lovely dog i met today who didn't have a bad bone in his body, and anyone looking to re-home a dog - please dont walk past the bull breeds, they make the best family pets Smile.

Luckily this lovely dog is now safe in his garden.

I found a stray great dane once. I knew it had a loving owner but I wasn't sure where she lived.

I told the neighbours I had the dog in case they saw her, and took it back to my teeny tiny flat, which was hilarious!

The village I'm in now there is always someone's dog mooching about. Hmm (not the same dog either)

Last year I was driving with DD and there was something holding up traffic.
Turned out to be a little spaniel type, running back and forth down the road.
Some cars slowed, others didn't Angry
I got to the front of the queue, another driver coming towards me stopped. This little dog was having none of it.
Woman behind me got really arsey (i told her to Fuck Right Off wait a minute)

My dog phobic DD said "What would you do with the dog".
I had no idea TBH (catch him , use my belt as a lead, take him to the nearest Police Station/)
I'm not a dog person IRL
He hared off up a side road (private road).
Another driver knew someone in RSPCA, she phoned them.

Years ago I found two dogs haring about on a main road. Took me ages to catch them both, one large mongrol and a little terrier. Shoved them in the back of my little car and took them to the police station - who wouldn't help. I had to miss my hairdressing appt and drive to the rescue kennels where apparantly they were regulars due to constant escaping!

i had a little jack russell find me the other day , sat on the puter and this little jack came wandering straight down my path i could see he was a well loved lad so i took him in the house, and wandered up to the end of the road to see if anyone was looking for him about five minutes later a rather anxious lady appeared and yes she was looking for him he had escaped from her daughters garden, was chipped anyway so if she hadnt arrived my next step was to take him to the local vets to see if he is chipped,

Well i'm pleased that i had no trouble rounding this one up Smile, Not long after i past my test i was driving along a very busy road when a dog ran out, i pulled over and the dog carried on and ran across the road causing a 3 car pile up (the dog wasnt hit and continued running around).

I was in sainsburys petrol station on Sunday when a gorgeous dog came wondering into the shop, then it went back out and was running infront of cars, the staff managed to catch it and took it into the shop I hope they managed to find the owners. It was a gorgeous dog, I was going to take it home and take it the local rescue centre to she if it was microchipped, but I've got two dogs already and one of them is very old, so I decided to let the staff sort it out. Hope it got home safely.

I've always had rescue bull breeds, old ones too, mastiffs and boxers, love them utterly. But it does take the right owner to get their soppy side out. And patience, particularly older rescues. Worth it though!

I have a bull breed rescue dog and she is quite simply the sweetest person in the world.
