She is fine... Before anyone gets too upset. She has a chipped tooth and is a bit sore but the vet said she will be fine. They have given pain killers and she has just been sleeping.
Please no judgement. I am very shaken up and can't stop running through the scenario in my head. They were in an off leash enclosed area and i was trying to get DD (2) in her buggy so i could put their leads on to leave with my 2 cockers. DD was being stubborn so i was trying to talk to her and wasn't watching for 5 seconds. One dog is very obedient, the other very scatty. She just bolted around the wall and went straight onto the road and i heard a screech and saw her tumbling. Oh my beautiful girl ...i am really really really upset that this happened.Sad
But so so so lucky she is ok.

Oh you poor thing :( Please don't beat yourself up over this, accidents happen and your dog is going to be fine. spoilt from all the extra cuddles and treats no doubt

It was an accident and one that could happen to any of us. I'm just glad your dog is OK. Are you OK?

Bless you! The reason I got my dog insured was because she is just the type to do something like this as well. Thankfully it hasn't happened to date, but she's a really scatterbrain too.

Don't blame yourself. I hope she feels better soon.

Sad Hope the wee thing is ok. Nothing worse than when something happens to them. And don't beat urself up about it, I walk my dog up a massive field, but round about November time she got spooked by fireworks and bolted, managed to get her before she reached the main road but I got such a fright, just shows you how easily these things can happen! Main thing is that shes ok. And defo spoiled until she feels better! xx

Thank you both. I feel sick about it. I just screamed and told this couple to watch my baby. I ran to her and i was picturing her there suffering and trying to prepare myself. Its just something you never think will happen to you... It's scary. Life is quite scary. I just live her so much. I'm ok but i feel like if she had died i wouldn't have forgiven myself. My husband understands and said maybe it's too much to try to walk the two dogs and have the toddler with me... But the i feel guilty with them looking at me all sad and bored.

It's heart stopping.
My lovely boy after 7 years of been good as gold on and off the lead (for bolting he was a mare for everything else) decided to run into the side of a bus.

He was fine just a few bent claws but a bus!!! Dp was walking him and was grey when he came in.

He's dead now anyway, unrelated though!

But yes, the funniest thing was, he blamed DP He really did!

He came limping in, straight to me holding his paw pitifully and DP started telling me what had happened and everytime he spoke the dog growled and tried to sit on my feet. It was quite funny.

Obviously his off lead privledges were withdrawn immediately but DP said it happened so fast, he made towards the road and DP thought he will stop, like he always does, then he started to think he was getting a bit close the the road and then all of a sudden he just bolted as the bus came past and actually leapt at the side of it!?

Stupid boy. Luckily he bounced off and rolled away not under! Certainly used one of his lives though
