Do you cover your grey up at night before you go to bed??
If so what with & are they still covered up when you come down in the morning??
I think our old girl needs covering up but dh thinks I've lost the plot!!
But they do feel the cold more then other dogs Confused

All four of our greyhounds are still wearing their fleece housecoats at night. It's an exceptionally cold spring this year, and we've been seeing ice on puddles and our garden pond until early this week. Even in a modern centrally heated house, overnight temperatures will get pretty chilly. It's particularly important if your grey is elderly. The only other option is for them to be on or in the bed with you Grin and ours are quite partial to this too!

Thanks ScuttlebutterSmile
Where did you get your fleece housecoats from?

Fleece housecoats. Excellent quality, my greyhound has the turquoise one and it keeps him lovely and toasty warm :)

My old greyhound had to have two housecoats at night as he got so cold and he refused to leave the house without his walking coat (plus layers underneath if very cold). They feel the cold because they don't have double layer fur like most dogs, plus they tend to be bald underneath and skinny so not well insulated.

My lurcher has a cosy bed by a radiator, so doesn't have anything. But with an oldie or a colder house, I'd go for a fleece housecoat, or the pyjama sort with legs

My whippet gets under the duvet with me. He curls up behind my legs so we keep each other warm! During the day his bed is next to the radiator where he can snuggle up but I have seen these recently and was tempted to get something similar for him. The ones with the snuggle bit seems ideal for these dogs. www.theoriginaluk.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=49&Itemid=57

MY whippet boy has a sleeping bag, which he gets under and my whippet girl sleeps under a blanket. HE is still there by the morning, she is not...well she is only a pup.
