Does anyone have experience with this breed, weve had our two boys for 9 years and in the last two weeks they're attitudes seem to have shifted, one is just crying all the time a high pitch howl and the other is very distant and aloof, he has always been a bit snobby but even more so now.

It's becoming quite upsetting and I waiting for the neighbours to start complaining, we can not find any signs of I'll health but there's definitely a change in the, anyone with advice this breed or same problem in other breeds?

When you say no signs of ill-health, have they been checked out at the vet? That would be my first port of call since it is a sudden change. Otherwise I would be wondering if something else has changed that might have upset them. Has there been a change in routine over Christmas or something? Have they had a falling-out with each other?

I don't have a mal but I have a husky/mal cross who can certainly be very demanding and has been known to howl (with sorrow) if I go out and leave him home with my DH (not even on his own). He also does the talking-back thing (as a tantrum or happy with excitement) and then of course the lovely woo-woos. Some dogs can be very talkative but it seems late in life for your boy to discover this so there must be a reason for it. Sorry not to be more help but hope you get to the bottom of it soon.
