My staff x lab is needing a winter coat something that will keep her dry as she hates getting wet, keeps her warm as she hates the cold but more importantly keeps her teats cosy, she was used heavily for breeding in her former life and her back 4 teats are huge, baggy and hang down to about her knees, when we have her out when its cold her baggy teats gets freezing and I feel its unfair but most doggy coats I see online only have a strap that goes round the middle to keep coats on.

Any one got any ideas or reccomendations for something that will keep her dry and cosy?

EQuafleece do some nice fleece jumpers which are water resistant which may work .

Another vote for Equafleece, they are fantastic and will keep her belly nice and warm but without rubbing as they are so soft.

If you are not sure about sizes, phone them they are really helpful.

Those Equafleece look ok but only start at 14" ,too big for most toy breeds, far too big for mine.
How can fleece be waterproof? Most outdoor clothing has fleece within a waterproof outer, similar to the first link in my last post. I know a bit about outdoor clothing, both my dad & my DH being members of mountain rescue teams.

It's not waterproof its water repellent . I've had mine out in moderate rain and he is certainly still dry and warm .

Fleece is surprisingly water repellent until pressure is put upon it.

Both my children slept in fleece nappy wraps over their cloth nappies, they were nothing but a thick layer of fleece, they never leaked. They wouldn't work in the day though as the child would sit on them and then the moisture would wick through.
