Wwyd? My male JA was involved in a dog on dog incident which ended with the other dog being PTS. DSD2 (17) was walking him with DS (14). He was on leash when the other dog, who was loose, came towards them which resulted in the loose dog being bitten by mine. I was out of the country at the time so have only have the information from the other dog owner and my kids, which is the same as what the dog warden has been given.

Council rule is that dogs in public areas must be on leash, chipped and licenced. Dog warden was involved and I have followed his reccomendtions, one of which was to settle balance of vet bill, which I did. I have had the other dog owner at my door looking for the money that he had paid to the vet. He has been very aggressive and intimidating durin this process and is hell bent on getting my dog PTS " because his was". My understanding was that I was to pay the balance of the bill ie the outstanding amount. Things are being made more complicated as he is DHs XSIL partner, who is trying to involve the DSDs and is generally being a twat. XSIL and I had already agreed that I would pay the outstanding amount etc, in a calm and amicable way then he gets involved and it all goes to pot.

So Wwyd? Pay him to shut him up or stick to original agreement with XSIL?

hmm i would be inclined to do nothing given that if he had his dog on a lead it wouldn't have happened!

Thanks. Think if it was anyone else I wouldn't be second guessing myself but I like DH's XSIL and get on well with her she makes up for barking XW He just doesn't seem to get that his dog was at fault for being off leash Confused
