Ticks and Tea Tree Oil

My dog had a tick on her leg - I have removed it but it looks like she may have dislodged it by licking and not sure if some 'tentacles' are still there.

Would tree tree oil help ?

or anything else ?

Thanks

Did you use one of the tick tools? They are fabulous. I find the tick removal process repulsively fascinating. The red ones with flailing legs are the worst and it is so satisfying to bin them.

Go ahead and put the tea tree oil on. When we bathe our dogs, we end the session with a few drops of tea tree oil in a jug of water. They are mostly tick free, so I assume it helps (although they have advantix as well)

I would dab some on with a wet cotton and then not worry about it, tbh.

Tea Tree will help, but be aware its a very strong smell for a dog, so best to do it outside before a walk (although it's a bit late in the day now Hmm)

thanks - yes I did use the tick tool - but she had been licking it for a while - stupid me - she was laying by me whilst I was working, me thinking she was giving herself a good clean !

She let me remove it then happily went and lay on her bed !

I'll use the tea tree tomorrow now before walk .
