Had some sad news but then some good news too

As some of you may know i have been on a waiting list for 8 weeks waiting for my puppy to be born. Well i got an email from the breeder saying that the bitch gave birth to 1 puppy last night but it was still born :(. They said there wasnt another litter planned for another year and wished us (all on the waiting list) good luck in finding our puppies.

So today i went back to searching. We have everything we need but cant really have a pup till middle of july as we are going on holiday. I called a couple of breeders and wasnt overly impressed (took ages finding 1 i liked last time).

I then found 1 that ticked all the boxes, ie health tests, home environment and not a million miles away. I called her up and she has a litter available to leave in 3 weeks which was no good but her neighbour had a litter due in 2 weeks time. The mum is from the same line and its the original breeders stud dog. So i am now on another list although so far there are only 2 people waiting and they dont mind what they have so ive been told ill get first choice. I am so excited again. To top it off the litter should have blacks or goldens which was my original first choice but i felt finding the right breeder was more important than the colour of the pups (the last litter would have been roans)

So now its back to waiting for the call to say puppies have been born and they will be about 4 weeks when we go on holiday so we will be driving past that area anyway and we can go and choose our puppy at the same time :o
