Hi I have a 11month springer/lurched cross bitch. Up until last week she was eating perfectly then last week she just stopped eating her food-now she will eat any scrap of ours and is eating drinking/wee/poo fine will eat biscuits with gravy but obviously that's not ideal. The vet said not to worry unless she stops drinking. What do I do? Should i tempt her or give her absolutely nothing until she eats her food? Thanks everyone

My dog did this, however she would still try to woof the cats food! So I just mixed a teaspoon in of cat food to her kibble and bingo!! Sucker!!!

Mind if you don't have a cat then I'm not much help.....:)

I wouldn't worry about it for a few days yet. Offer her normal food at the normal times for the next couple of days; leave it down for 15 minutes and then take it away.

If she remains well in herself then I would continue for another couple of days. If she has literally eaten nothing in that time then it's time for a trip to the vet.

Has she has a season yet?

Ah, the hunger strike :) If I stop eating this stuff they put in my bowl then they will feed me the lovely scraps of human food that I like so much. She's not sick as she's eating, she just prefers the human food and biscuits with gravy. Just keep putting her food down as normal, stop feeding her the other stuff and she'll start to eat her food again
