bought eric and cherry new collars and leads for xmas, which they have had on for a week as I couldnt wait. the leads are hung up on a hook in the kitchen and while walking this morning i noticed that one of the leads is coming apart Hmm now eric could well have chewed it, although he has chewed many leads and none have needed replacing. they were from amazon and werent cheap, would you return them or not? the leads have probably only been used twice for 5 mins each as I only use leads from car to woods.

Yep. They're obviously not well made, and the last thing you need is to be out on a walk and the damn thing falls to bits on you.

thats what I dont understand they are rogz, normally a really good make, the material is all cracking and a load of the stitching has come off.

Return them, they are obviously not fit for purpose.
Just wondering, could they be fakes? Depends on the supplier I guess.

I bought a Rogz lead for our lurcher in PetsAtHome a few months ago. I noticed on our second walk that the stitching on the handle was coming apart. This surprised me as our previous dog had a Rogz lead for 5 years and it was indestructable...

I recommend making your own. Ebay will do you a couple of trigger clips, and some paracord:
www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=paracord&_sacat=See-All-Categories
will do you quite nicely. I've made a couple for our dog, and there's plenty of instructions on the net:

I can recommend the agility one (really just a three strand plait) to whatever length you want.
