Vicious dog on the loose

Got a bit of a shock today. I saw a neighbour with her dog and she shouted to me. Her dog had been attacked on Saturday night by a staffy that was loose. Her poor old dog, he's 16, could barely walk and had his ear chewed She said he'd have been dead if a friend hadn't helped her.

Makes me really worried about walking my dog now especially at night when it's harder to see if there's a dog around. I certainly won't be letting dss walk the dog.

No idea about the owners? The police said they can't do anything as she doesn't know who's dog it is? Am surprised someone didn't come out tbh? She had to get a vet to the house for her own dog.
