What's the best name you have heard for a dog??

Today whist out for a walk...a dog owner was yelling for her dog in the park. At speed a Jack Russell called....Shackleton...comes flying out of some bushes.

Big name, small dog! IMO Brilliant grin

I know a tiny westie called Thor, and another called Radley.

Boydog is called Sirius. I wanted to call him Dumbledore, but DH wouldn't have it.

I knew a dog called Diesel. He was a grubby-looking black/grey/brown hairy mongrel, and the name suited him down to the ground.

My Auntie's dog was called Costa - as in cost a lot of money!

Coolest names I know are two choc labs called Aston and Bentley smile

I used to work at a vets so have seen many strange names. My favourites were a westie called Dudley Mcstudley and a cross breed called Brian.

I met a wirey grey little terrier called...drumroll...Brillo! Brilliant. And a cocker spaniel called Jarvis. I think it was Marianne Faithful who said one of her first memories was of a dog barking and a man shouting "down Mr Bone,Sir !".

Mine was Dingo (he looked like one).

But my favourite one as per Milly Mollie (kids programme) has to be Puddles...

....which is what the dds want to call ours when we get it. Much as I love it, NO: its tempting fate grin

Just remembered a Great Dane I knew (soppiest, gentlest dog I ever met) called Tiny. And his best mate, a JRT, called Hugo (as in 'huge')

I had a dog called Dillon. He was fab. We are about to adopt a lurcher called Sam. Not nearly as cool a name for a dog, but fine nonetheless.

There is a pony at dd's riding school called Dave. Love that!

I know a Dave, a Dilys, a Doris and a Mabel, a rottweiler called Flea and a springer called Jerry.

One of our neighbours shouts every evening for two cats called Milly and Mandy. I wonder what happened to Molly.
