a book recommendation for 4 year old on getting a new puppy

On Monday I finally got my long-wished for Standard Poodle puppy. He is, of course, brilliant, beautiful and perfect in every way :) Dh had taken the boys to the beach for a few days and I stayed home b/c of work. Puppy goes to work with me every day and we got settled into a really good schedule right away.
Cue family coming home last night to meet him for the first time and ds2 is completely over the moon about getting a puppy. I expected this, of course, and we had been talking for a while about getting one but I (and the dog) were a bit taken aback at just how constant - and constantly irritating - ds2 was with the puppy. I tried to explain that the little guy needs time to get used to everyone and to give him a little more space, which ds1 (8) understood immediately.
Is there a book on a 4 year old level to illustrate what it is like for a pet to get used to a new home?

There is an Usbourne first experience one. With Stickers! That might help. Enjoy your poodle, I'm jealous :)

That sounds really good! Ds2 loves stickers - I guess they all do, though, don't they?

I already had a dog when I met dh and this is the first time he has seen me around a puppy. I do believe he's almost jealous Wink

Congratulations on your new puppy, we have a 7mth old standard poodle pup and she is just the love of my life. We've always had black std poos, and hoping to get my much longed for white for my 50th in a few years time. Absultely brilliant breed they are just little people. I am sure your son will settle.

Ds2 is doing somewhat better today. He is trying to model how I am with the puppy when we are on walks and paying better attention to me when I tell him to give the puppy some space.
I originally thought we would get a solid black or white then discovered Parti Poodles and got fixated for a while on them especially the Tuxedos. In the end I got a Phantom Chocolate Apricot and he is so gorgeous!!!
