Having just read that you're going to be opening your own practice soon I just wanted to wish you loads of success in your new venture.

Good luck, enjoy the challenge but find time to take it easy too. :)

THank you so much, Val! Smile

I am soo looking forward to setting up on my own- means I can finally do things the way I want! It's going to be lots of hard work, but hopefully rewarding. I am setting up back in my home town, having moved all over the place, so that is quite emotional for me. I'm opening just across the road from where the practice I first saw practice in was (now closed down)

Taking it easy will be by far the hardest challenge! Wink

It is very exciting, for me! Am currently lusting over bits of kit I want and trying to write a web site! But I know the reality of moving from p/t work to f/t + management + bookeeping etc will be stressful. I do think it will be worth it though Smile

I am in Scotland, South Lanarkshire. Starting from scratch- eek! In my home town there were always 2 vets, but one moved out and now there is only one, which is a branch, so I felt if I didn't do it someone else would!

I do feel very scared at the thought of all the (bank's) money I am going to spend, but very excited too!

Joolyjoolyjoo I am 6 years and alot of grey hairs further down the track than you. Sufficiently far away that we are not in competition she if you need help, support or advice please PM me.
I have done the bank loans, the planning permission recently for new branch surgery and am currently developing new project with terrifying finance. I have also done all the computer company research relatively recently too.
However, love every minute of it and it's my baby.
Loads of Luck.
