Thank you! And thank you sky+ app!

HalleLouja Tue 28-Jan-14 22:32:46

[Gets comfy]

I wonder who is going to end up with the goergeous Cary August! Don't say if you know!!!

Loopytiles Tue 28-Jan-14 22:54:57

I've seen the first 12 episodes and it's the best yet.

The bloody things gone on hiatus for 2 months now just like Grays Anatomy and I'm missing it terribly

Why do they break up seasons like this, drives me nuts!

HalleLouja Wed 29-Jan-14 06:47:34

Cary is all mine. except I think there is now a character called Carey to. grin

Nancy66 Wed 29-Jan-14 09:25:27

can't wait for this! Can't believe it doesn't get bigger billing on Channel 4.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Wed 29-Jan-14 12:37:22

Anyone seen the advert where Will sweeps everything off Alica's desk?shock <swoon>

HalleLouja Wed 29-Jan-14 13:16:24

A Cary and Will sandwich [faints]

TheGirlFromIpanema Wed 29-Jan-14 13:19:53

Eeek excited!!

I'm not sure if I can handle the wait but I might try to sky+ a few episodes before I start watching.
I've watched series 1+2 on dvd this year to catch myself up to where I first started watching and I'm not sure I'll cope anymore with only one episode at a time sad grin

Blueuggboots Wed 29-Jan-14 13:21:16

I absolutely LOVE the good wife!
Started watching it on netflix from season one as my oh has never seen it, despite me going on about it for years!! grin

Nancy66 Wed 29-Jan-14 13:40:58

I wonder if the creepy serial killer bloke will be one of Alicia and Cary's poached clients?

rubybricks Wed 29-Jan-14 23:29:46

BEYOND excited! grin

northender Thu 30-Jan-14 10:05:13

I'm sooooooo excited now. Maybe I need to get out more!

damediazepam yes I saw the trailer with Angry Will clearing Alicia's desk, looks good.

AmIGoingMad Thu 30-Jan-14 11:33:16

I can't wait either! I've been date checking for ages!

BirdyBedtime Thu 30-Jan-14 13:25:54

Just marking my place - the GW is one of my faves that I've loved since s1.
Cary or Will - hmm I think I'm swayed to Will these days.

Nancy what did I miss, serial killer??

Bimblepops Thu 30-Jan-14 18:52:43

Hurrah, hurrah, hurrah!

It's been a miserable day of 5:2 fasting, whilst stuck inside with a very energetic 3 year old, The Good Wife is just what I need to cheer me up!

Nancy66 Thu 30-Jan-14 19:02:49

Italian - the one Alicia has defended a few times. He's in prison and very creepy but don't know his character name.

Alicia hated having to defend him so I wouldn't be surprised if, by some quirk, they end up taking him as a client as he's a good character.

Nancy66 Thu 30-Jan-14 19:05:01

Colin Sweeney is the character he plays - just found it. he's been in about half a dozen previous episodes

tkband3 Thu 30-Jan-14 19:05:54

I think I know the one you mean Nancy - didn't she get him out of prison in the last series? And then didn't he go to Cary and say he'd move all his million-dollar business to their new practice if he got Alicia to move with him? Or am I thinking of the wrong serial killer?!

Nancy66 Thu 30-Jan-14 19:06:29

I desperately need a recap!

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Thu 30-Jan-14 19:13:18

Signing in. Can't wait til tonight smile

northender Thu 30-Jan-14 20:46:38

15 minutes to go [slightly pathetic emoticon] grin

Oh, administration! Good to see it striking terror in the world! 'A typist'!

What's the bets? Alicia must end up staying????

northender Thu 30-Jan-14 22:56:50

Well I thought that was a good start. Will she, won't she??

lilibet Thu 30-Jan-14 23:22:27

Oh that was tense, the music was fantastic. Why oh why would anyone choose Peter over Will?

Those youngsters are going to piss me off.

And Nashville is back next week!

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Fri 31-Jan-14 08:57:08

Agreed lilibet! It's a pity Alicia didn't have mumsnet to talk to about her husband's infidelities and failings - pretty sure she'd get a resounding LTB grin

I don't think Alicia will stay - theres far too much mileage in the rivalry between the old and new firm to be had.

BirdyBedtime Fri 31-Jan-14 12:53:39

tk - you're right that happened towards the end of Season 4. I found last night quite upsetting actually as that kind of thing really does happen in real life executions. Makes me really glad we don't have this in the UK.
Was also delighted to see the Nashville trailer - I love my dose of escapism!

I wonder if they will put her into the new firm as a spy!!! She is a bit of a back stabber so I am sure she could pull it off! This is just a guess.

I think Cary and Kalinda will become the new Alicia and Will in the will they/won't they stakes!

I wonder if all that 'prison broker' stuff is true!! Scary!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen Sat 01-Feb-14 11:56:54

Wow that was a fantastic episodeshock

I found the bit where the prisoner bled out really disturbing, which was the whole point I guess.

I can't get my head round a civilised country sitting round and calmly putting someone to sleep like they were a dog!sad <whole different thread!>

Can't wait for next weekgrin

northender Thu 13-Feb-14 22:16:53

Are you all still watching? Thought tonights episode was Fab, especially the interplay between the family, legal and political storylines. Peter just can't help his wandering eyes can he?

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Thu 13-Feb-14 23:17:59

I'm still here. Good episode, Alecia is in the thick of it all isn't she? Kalinda is going to drop her in it with will, I think Diane might still not get the Supreme Court thingy (something will scupper that I think). Dying to see how will is going to react when he realises what's happening.

Nancy66 Fri 14-Feb-14 12:12:17

Wow this series is good. The possibility of Peter cheating again, Will turning into a right nasty piece and the rival firm going ahead.

I guess that Alicia is now going to tap up Diane to recommend her clients to the new firm. Christine Baranski as Diane is just brilliant in this.

FrimpongDench Thu 20-Feb-14 21:18:14

It's like Good Wife bingo tonight - MIL, Elspeth, the gun guy..

BeeInYourBonnet Thu 20-Feb-14 22:01:07

Ooooh the cat's out of the bag!

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Fri 21-Feb-14 00:33:42

I cannot wait for next weeks episode. The fallout will be spectacular - Dianne has just screwed over the wife of the man who wants to make her a judge, Alicia has screwed over her current firm/Will and strange new bloke only there to expand a plot line has screwed over the new-not-yet-up-and-running law firm. I'm guessing that will's revenge ain't going to be sweet...

Nancy66 Fri 21-Feb-14 09:26:33

I wonder if Diane is going to now stay at the firm in order to fight Alicia and Cary?

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Fri 21-Feb-14 17:55:33

I was thinking that too Nancy. I think she's going to have to choose who she's siding with - will to help him fight for their firm or Alicia so as to keep her hubby onside with her judgeship. I hope this next episode lives up to the build up!

northender Sun 23-Feb-14 09:46:46

What a brilliant episode!! We watched on catch up so the only problem was it was over too quickly without adsgrin . I think Diane's instinct will be to fight for the firm but on the other hand she wanted the judgeship enough to drop Will in it so , actually, I've no idea, I'll just have to wait and see. Liked the moments with Alicia and Will, that'll be a good contrast to his reaction now I imagine.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Wed 26-Feb-14 22:25:22

Just watched a trailer ad for this week's episode - I think it'll live up to the hype! Looks fab grin Will ain't happy...

SouthernHippyChick Thu 27-Feb-14 19:07:10

So addictive!

northender Thu 27-Feb-14 21:17:51

Wow what a start

Oh no, he's being mean! her hubby I mean! In fact they are all being quite mean! Glad I am not a lawyer!

Ruprekt Thu 27-Feb-14 22:14:54

Ooh it's a good episode!! gringringringringrin

BOFtastic Thu 27-Feb-14 22:17:37

This has all kicked off nicely! I'm watching on +1.

northender Thu 27-Feb-14 22:31:14

I feel quite disappointed that they're only getting on because of Peters intervention. I guess that's pretty realistic, it's a dirty old world eh? Peter and Will are both horrible, power crazed men aren't they?

BumPotato Thu 27-Feb-14 23:30:40

I cheered and clapped after the phonecall between Peter & Will home alone . Though I confess I'm Team Peter because I want to do rude things to Chris Noth.

Sadly, I'm team Will - Peter is a nasty bloke and I am sure he is going to end up in the sack with the blonde lady at his office!!

It's kind of funny they used the scene of Will clearing the desk with his hand and it made it look a bit like a new liaison at the office and was nothing of the sort!

I loved them making high power calls in the coffee shop! Double expresso, anyone!!

I couldn't work there, I am not sneaky enough!

Nancy66 Fri 28-Feb-14 08:36:05

I think this series is the best yet.

I wonder if Will and Diane are now going to try and stop Peter being sworn in by accusing him of using his public office for private gain? (i.e getting Chumba contract for Alicia)

SouthernHippyChick Fri 28-Feb-14 08:41:15

Agree, it's gripping. Fab!

BumPotato Fri 28-Feb-14 08:55:13

I don't think Will and Diane can do anything about Chumhum because there was no deal with Peter, just a few words in one of his tv appearances. Chumhum hadn't entered into any agreement that we saw with LG.

dancemom Fri 28-Feb-14 09:00:00

Last nights episode was brilliant!

Ifyoubuildit Fri 28-Feb-14 09:06:42

Oh I love it so much but last night was a bit much for me. It was too far fetched and I didn't like Will's aggression. I was totally gripped though... Bring on next Thurs!

Nancy66 Fri 28-Feb-14 09:45:02

Bumpotato - yes, I'm sure you're right. I'm just getting over excited and writing my own storylines

Oh I loved Will's aggression Ifyoubuildit...phwoarr !

Nospringchickendipper Fri 28-Feb-14 09:53:33

Last night episode was really good but I want Alicia to be successful on her own merit and not because of Peters intervention.
In the first series Alicia left Peter because of his cheating and became a strong independent woman in her own right.
I did like the bit last night when Will and Alicia were arguing and he then told her that her daughter had rung.

MrsReacher85 Fri 28-Feb-14 10:14:43

I'm finally joining this thread to say that I thought last night's episode was the best of this season so far. And disturbingly, the first time I've fancied will! I'm not really sure what that says about me tbh.

I hated peter's speech and I hope Alicia is not happy with it. She doesn't need his help!

FrimpongDench Fri 28-Feb-14 10:21:42

Whoop whoop. That was more like it. But I can't help but think that Other Cary is going to be like the Star Trek away mission guy without a name that always gets bumped off.

And Peter is mean

Nancy66 Fri 28-Feb-14 10:24:50

Kalinda is hardly in it this series which I can't say bothers me greatly. Would like more Eli though

sparklesandbling Fri 28-Feb-14 12:01:59

Kalinda and Will, used to like them but after last night not anymore. Kalinda is saving her own hide but to screw over your friends for money, really!

Will, what a piece of work, Alicia was right to make decision to leave after the way he treated Diane. He is so aggressive, the way he shoved her things off the desk and then told her to be careful?!

Like the fact that Peter and Alicia are back and it seems real.

I don't think this series is as far fetched as other programmes as the American legal system/ industry is extremely different from the British and that's whats interesting about it.

sparklesandbling Fri 28-Feb-14 12:03:33

Also think Diane will stay at Lockhart Gardner now that judgeship is no more!

More trouble for Alicia and Carey...

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals Fri 28-Feb-14 12:11:33

Ooh, wasn't last night great! I totally agree that this series is great so far, much better than the last 2. Just intrigued to see where it goes... it feels like a last series.

handcream Fri 28-Feb-14 12:23:39

Peter has an eye for the ladies. I remember the actress who plays Alicia in ER. She got George Clooney in the end. Does anyone remember that show where she rushed off to meet him after being seperated for a number of years (by this time George was a major A lister) and you saw someone at the end of the dock and although the papers had said not to miss this epioside you couldnt quite believe it was George!

BOFtastic Fri 28-Feb-14 12:32:10

Oh yes grin. I love the vintage ER years.

I was rooting for Alicia, principally because Will has got that odious toad of a partner who got their offices shut down.

handcream Fri 28-Feb-14 12:35:20

Is there any way of getting the series in advance of it being shown on More4?

Kalinda is a really strange one. Whose side is she on. She also has a very strange personal life. Wasnt it her that attacked someone with a baseball bat? I find her creepy and wasnt she the one who Peter was found in bed with at the beginning.

Chris Noth is very well cast though. Really like him and slippery Eli

SouthernHippyChick Fri 28-Feb-14 12:58:12

Agree, actually find Kalinda the least convincing character by far. Her skirts, her faux sassiness & attitude, weird & unconvincing plotlines around her.

BumPotato Fri 28-Feb-14 13:01:25

Why 2 Carys though? Will this become relevant later? It's like when there were two Jackies in Brookie.

Though in real life we often know several people with the same name.

BumPotato Fri 28-Feb-14 13:02:11

I love Eli too. His facial expressions are priceless.

Nancy66 Fri 28-Feb-14 13:11:27

It feels like they don't quite know what to do with Kalinda.
All that stuff with her ex husband in the last series was tedious.

Her friendship with Alicia and the betrayal when Alicia discovered Kalinda had shagged Peter was good but that's dealt with now.

dancemom Fri 28-Feb-14 16:57:04

I remember reading that the Kalinda storyline with her ex was supposed to grow into a bigger plot but the feedback the writers got was it wasn't believable or enjoyable so it was quickly ended!

ospringchickendipper yes, me too.

I can't help feeling that I was on Will's side! Bit worrying as everyone else is not!

BOFtastic Fri 28-Feb-14 18:28:22

Oh that Kalinda/husband storyline very nearly did for me. Awful.

northender Fri 28-Feb-14 18:41:54

Italian and chicken that's what I was trying to say last night. I'm sure it is a fairly accurate reflection of how murky and interlinked politics and law can be in the States. I've always loved how strong and independent Alicia is and that is spoiled by Peters interference. Wonder how she'll react to the judgeship being taken from Diane?

K8Middleton Fri 28-Feb-14 18:55:21

<sidles in>

I thought the NSA episode was the best but last nights just edged it.

Now you lot will probably know (dh didn't because he falls asleep if he sits still after 8pm) but Peter knew about Will and Alicia. Did we know that he knew that or was it news? I don't recollect him knowing.

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals Fri 28-Feb-14 20:31:01

I'm not sure k8. I didn't think he knew.

Snappyteabread Fri 28-Feb-14 20:35:22

I'm pretty sure I remember him knowing about will and Alicia.

K8Middleton Fri 28-Feb-14 22:05:19

I didn't think he did either. Dh said "which one's Peter again?" So he is no help to me hmm

Just an aside, Chris Noth was looking quite old I thought?

totally would do Cary Argos. Oh yeah!

northender Fri 28-Feb-14 23:01:01

I'm sure he knew, or assumed at least.
Just watched again on catch up with dh who was away last night. It was still fab

Bimblepops Sat 01-Mar-14 00:15:12

Just watched Thursdays episode, bloody marvellous!

Love this programme. Poor old Will (totally would), betrayed by both of the women in his life.

Cannot wait until next week...

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Sat 01-Mar-14 10:55:36

Peter definitely knew about Will. I can't specifically remember how he found out but he suspected there was something going on even before Will and Alicia started DTD.

Will and Alicia had dated at university before Alicia met Peter; so when Will employed Alicia, Peter was suspicious as at that point no one else would hire Alicia so he wondered why Will did. That suspicion was there from day 1, so he was always looking for it.

The Good Wife is brilliant at the moment. The hurt felt by Will when he realised that Alicia had betrayed him - he couldn't even articulate any words and then his defensive mechanism kicked in and he went 'commando'. Fabulous.

And yes, I totally would.

Nancy66 Sat 01-Mar-14 11:08:03

wasn't there some hearing during Will's suspension where details of the affair came out?

I definitely remember some sort of court room scene where Alicia had to account for her whereabouts and she was at a hotel with Will

BumPotato Sat 01-Mar-14 11:51:56

I just don't get the Will love. He's a bit like David Cameron, with the grease sucked out of him, to me.

Nancy66 Sat 01-Mar-14 11:55:24

..but Cary Argos on the other hand.
He is looking particularly hot this series

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Sat 01-Mar-14 13:37:44

I know Cary and Kalinda had a flirt on at the end of the last series (which had been brewing for a while) - but was it ever consummated?

I have always liked Kalinda until the last episode when she said that she was 'Team Will' and straight away tried to join Florrick Agos, then went back and swore team allegiance to Will. That was cold and lowered her in my estimation.

Ifyoubuildit Sat 01-Mar-14 16:08:07

I would defo go there with Will - oh yes siree - ever since his Dead Poet's Society days. Yum.

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Sat 01-Mar-14 17:54:21

He was in Dead Poet's Society - I did not know this.

Ifyoubuildit Sat 01-Mar-14 20:20:20

Oh yes, he was Knox, not the mainstream fanciable one but I still liked him. That was over twenty years ago (eek!)

LordPalmerston Sun 02-Mar-14 07:53:41

That was a great episode. Dead exciting

TheDailyWail Sun 02-Mar-14 13:17:38

One of the best episodes to date. This series has grown on DH too. He never usually likes my stuff!

MarshaBrady Mon 03-Mar-14 22:26:47

Just watched a couple on 40D.

Alicia's smile annoys me and Peter is also annoying.

Love Diane and Will. Hope they win.

Loopytiles Wed 05-Mar-14 21:26:05

Just seen the episodes where Diane got married then the partners found out Alicia et al were leaving and the shit hit the fan!

Diane did a great "how dare/could you?" look. Then Will's disbelief, hurt and fury, Cary's row with Diane and David Lee thriving on the drama. And Peter's call with Will. And below the belt behaviour from everyone.

All great stuff!

Loopytiles Wed 05-Mar-14 21:30:32

shock bumpotato, to compare Will to David Cameron! angry shock

Yy Chris Noth looking older, but he is fair bit older than the actor playing Alicia, and she's older than josh thingy playing will.

northender Thu 06-Mar-14 23:47:30

What a knob Peter is. The comment made by Will at the end about Peter summed him up so well. I'm still wondering what Alicia will make of Diane being sidelined.
Are we going to see Michael J Fox this series? Could that be the alliance for Florrick Argos associates?
Is there going to be a paternity suit against Will?

BlueSkySunnyDay Thu 06-Mar-14 23:53:34

I love Will and dont get the attraction of Peter at all

His girlfriend is very annoying, what is that about?

Love the office being in Alicia's flat and Grace flirting about, very funny

Ifyoubuildit Fri 07-Mar-14 12:06:00

His girlfriend is awful and I don't understand why he hasn't run a mile with all that baby talk! Where has she come from anyway?

I really want lots if sexual tension between Will and Alicia, a love hate thing. I don't like Peter.

Also, morning sickness lady, is that going to come back on Peter??

flatmouse Fri 07-Mar-14 15:06:34

Absolutely loving this series - keeps getting better - the Outdoing of each other on the gun trial was fantastic, and Alicia laughing at the end when she realised what Will had done.

This is going to be messy, and this is going to be fun!

pinkhousesarebest Fri 07-Mar-14 16:13:23

Is the morning sickness woman (who used to be Angel in Home and Away) pregnant with Peter's baby? I missed the first episodes of this series but think they had an affair?

I am loving this series! Well I always love it, but was worried how they could split everyone up and hold te plots together, but it's fab.
I was making carbonara last week and got to the tricky adding eggs bit just as Will started storming around getting all masterful, and ended up with a kind of pasta omelette!

FrimpongDench Fri 07-Mar-14 18:18:11

Diane's back - yippee. Will's girlfriend was well weird, and Angel from Home and Away is up to something.

Nice to see Richard Gilmore and Logan Huntzburger back together again as well <obscure Gilmore Girls ref>

MarshaBrady Fri 07-Mar-14 18:38:44

Diane is fantastic. So I loathe Peter, for being smarmy and for being awful to Diane.

dancemom Fri 07-Mar-14 18:48:41

Love Diane! Used to love Kalinda but she seems to have become a bit sidelined this series. Will be watching to see what develops with both weird girlfriend and puking Angel?!

diddl Fri 07-Mar-14 18:53:17

I loathe both Diane and Will and will be more than happy to see them fall flat on their faces.
As for that bloody David (?) Lee.

sparklesandbling Fri 07-Mar-14 22:33:26

The writers on this are doing a great job, we all loved Diane, Will and Kalinda last series, now I personally cant stand their characters.

Will is a dick, wanting to crush the competition speech is so lame! I so want Alicia and Carey to have the last laugh!!

Was happy when Diane started to realise that dropping Alicia in the shit meant she was going to lose her judgeship.

Going to be a good series

sparklesandbling Fri 07-Mar-14 22:37:49

Also love Meryl Streep's daughter as Nancy the other litigator in the case. Love her character especially in the early episodes.

MidnightHag Sat 08-Mar-14 22:39:14

love Diane and Alicia's clothes [shallow].

onedev Sat 08-Mar-14 22:57:43

I didn't realise that was Meryl Streep's daughter - she's great! Love this series & agree with all your comments - hope Cary & Alicia win, Angel definitely up to something (is it Peters baby?) & what's with Will's girlfriend??

Love it!

gilmoregirl Sat 08-Mar-14 23:17:30

Oh Frimpong you are much smarter than me smile I am huge Gilmore girls fan (States obvious) and didn't make the Richard / Logan in same episode connection thank you"

ArtisanScotchEgg Sun 09-Mar-14 09:18:37

gilmoregirl I watched an episode of Law and Order recently that had Lorelai and Max Modena in it - now that was weird.

gilmoregirl Sun 09-Mar-14 12:45:19

Once you have watched every episode of Gilmore girls you see the actors popping up everywhere! Parenthood had Lauren graham in another winning single mom role and the actress who plays gypsy popped up as a cancer survivor recently. Took me a while to realise that Emily Gilmore is the mother in dirty dancing. Oh love Gilmore girls.

sparklesandbling Fri 14-Mar-14 16:07:47

I said it last week and I will say it again, Will is a dick!

His stupid speeches, this time about getting on together !

Also interesting that Alicia and Carey hired a nice person and Will and Diane hired an incompetent backstabbing moaner.

diddl Fri 14-Mar-14 17:17:13

Whatever did Alicia see in him?

Never have liked him, though.

Ifyoubuildit Fri 14-Mar-14 22:21:05

I'd still go there and hope Alicia does too. I'm loving the sexual tension love hate thing between them.

northender Sat 15-Mar-14 09:11:31

It'll be interesting to see how Will responds longer term to what Owen said to him. The man with glasses (name escapes me) is great, he always had a lot of time for Cary as he encouraged him with his legal studies. Fully behind team Alicia & Cary now.

I know I keep harping on but I really can't imagine Alicia being happy about Peters decision re Diane and the judgeship

BlueSkySunnyDay Sat 15-Mar-14 10:24:36

Hmm no I find Will quite sexy - don't know why as he's not my type at all.

I hope we still see David Lean - he's so slimy and sneaky he makes me laugh so much.

There is obviously a reason for the two Carys (some future confusion) I'm guessing it's going to involve Alicias daughter.

chemenger Sat 15-Mar-14 10:31:31

For some reason I find myself in the opposite camp from everyone else. I want that smug smile wiped off Cary's face. Go Diane! Alicia and Peter turn my stomach and her complete lack of integrity in accepting Peter's underhand support is pathetic.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Sat 15-Mar-14 12:42:13

I wish michael j fox would be next to appear - would be interesting to see him throw a spanner into the mix. Anyone know if his TV show is still going?

DinoSnores Sat 15-Mar-14 12:46:25
northender Sat 15-Mar-14 12:47:30

chemenger I do keep going from one to the other so maybe next week I'll be back with Diane and Will

jerryfudd Sat 15-Mar-14 12:59:12

Late to thread but love good wife too - and this series is my favorite so far.

Love the Michael j fox character so looking forward to his return.

diddl Sat 15-Mar-14 19:57:01

JUst watched Thursdays ep.

So when do we find out about the adoption case & Alicia being sued?

And the student in jail-did he do it then?

Or did I miss something?

BranchingOut Fri 21-Mar-14 21:07:54

I think it is one of those episodes where they keep the storyline going till next week. Just watched it on catchup.

However, I am not liking Alicia so much this season and struggling to remember exactly why she felt the need to leave Lockhart Gardner.

minniebar Fri 21-Mar-14 21:28:42

Love love love this show.

Tattooed 'no one says Lockhart Gardiner, it's LG now' Will is quite the arse though now isn't he?

So glad Nathan Lane is back, although I do keep expecting him to burst into song.

I know Ethics Woman from Alias, where she was evil so I just can't see her as anything but bad in this. Plus she wears too much makeup for someone who is supposedly vomming all day…

diddl Sat 22-Mar-14 08:53:04

Will has always been an arse!

Ethics woman is too pouty for me!

onedev Sat 22-Mar-14 11:56:03

She's up to something - she makes me nervous!

No matter how long ago, she's still Angel to me!

PoppyAmex Sat 22-Mar-14 13:58:20

Finding myself firmly in Dianne's camp - Alicia's character has changed a lot and Peter's treatment of Dianne was outrageous.

BranchingOut Sat 22-Mar-14 18:06:57

I am sometimes amazed that it is the same Alicia who picked up Louis Canning when he fell over outside the courthouse.

I suspect the recent episode's Alicia might just stride past him...!

Maybe that is the overall trajectory of the programme, to show her becoming increasingly tough and hard-nosed?

Bue Sat 22-Mar-14 19:09:55

A few thoughts now that I am finally up to date.

WTF is with puking ethics woman's eye makeup?!

Am I the only one whose allegiances are split between Team Lockhart Gardner and Team Florrick Agos? I do hate the new sleazy Will and his too-young-for-him gf but Alicia has changed, and Peter's move against Diane was so low. As was the veiled threat against ChumHum in the press conference. I guess ethics woman is too busy with morning sickness to notice his blatant ethical violations.

What has happened to the college kid accused of murder from last week? I thought that was going to be an ongoing storyline.

Anyone else think Alicia and Peter have the strangest marriage ever, even by political standards? They only communicate through his staff!

I know it's wrong and gross, but I love Eli and Natalie Flores.

dancemom Sat 22-Mar-14 19:23:39

I need to watch this weeks episode again as I was baking at the same time and didn't get to take it all in.

Can someone remind me who Ugly Betty is again and how she first came about?? In the Good Wife I mean!

SconeRhymesWithGone Sat 22-Mar-14 19:33:03

I love this show. Alan Cumming is my favorite, I think. His American Midwest accent is pitch perfect now. Archie Panjabi's comes and goes but is getting better.

Bue Sun 23-Mar-14 10:19:07

I had to look up where Natalie came from because I couldn't remember. She was Wendy Scott Carr's illegal alien nanny!

dancemom Sun 23-Mar-14 12:55:34

brilliant Blue, thanks! that was driving me crazy - got some peace and quiet today so going to watch it again to catch up smile smile

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Mon 24-Mar-14 18:40:50

Has anyone heard the spoiler of what has just happened in US? In the parlance of my teenage niece O.M.G.

Don't worry those who don't want to know - I will not spill here.

onedev Mon 24-Mar-14 19:00:04

Will it happen soon here? I might need a PM!!

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Mon 24-Mar-14 19:04:41

I think US is at least half a season ahead.

Let me know if a PM is required!!

onedev Mon 24-Mar-14 19:26:18

Yes please!

northender Mon 24-Mar-14 20:08:48

Can I suggest nobody googles Good Wife at the moment as I just did and when those suggestions come up below what you've typed in I think I have uncovered the shock. I quickly navigated away but now need to block it out.
Don't worry my lips are sealed.
Can we get a no spoiler bit added to the thread title, there was carnage on the Homeland thread when someone posted spoilers

dancemom Mon 24-Mar-14 20:13:39

I saw the spoiler shock

So tempted to watch the rest if the series online but resisting so far!

aliciagardner Mon 24-Mar-14 20:54:08

I just watched the latest US ep. I have been watching online, in real time with US (then re watching on more4 blush). I won't spoil but suffice to say, it is very, very good.

SlatternMissesherGrumpyCat Mon 24-Mar-14 21:13:07

Sorry onedev I got caught up with kid's bedtime. I will PM you.

onedev Mon 24-Mar-14 21:21:51

No way - didn't see that coming! shock

BlueSkySunnyDay Mon 24-Mar-14 21:27:48

Oh I had to Google it blush glad I did id have hated that to come as a shock.

Oh my God, there I was merrily reading the Guardian and they have revealed the spoiler of the bloody century. I am so furious!

SconeRhymesWithGone Tue 25-Mar-14 01:20:09

I am in the US. The shocker episode was last night. I realized this morning from this thread that we are ahead of the UK on episodes. No spoiler here, but yes, indeed, O.M.G. shock

diddl Tue 25-Mar-14 07:51:51

Is it wrong to be a bit pleased?blush

overthemill Tue 25-Mar-14 11:22:44

Am watching this in US time but the day after it swim. So watched Sundays episode yesterday as soon as I possibly could. But it was totally spoiled by having seen the good wife's Facebook page come up on my Facebook news feed. If you are watching it on uk only DO NOT GOOGLE OR FACEBOOK OR YOUTUBE or anything else remotely possible. They are so proud of keeping it a secret but trail it all over the social media site????? Am really cross. Great episode but wtf?

BranchingOut Tue 25-Mar-14 11:23:36

Oh blinking heck Guardian...

aliciagardner Tue 25-Mar-14 20:13:46

Overthemill, EXACTLY the same thing happened to me! I am so cross, it would have been an amazing episode if I hadn't known the twist! As it was, it was very good - but damn that good wife Facebook page!

Ifyoubuildit Tue 25-Mar-14 20:42:08

Why did I google? Why oh why oh why? hmm

Not sure I want to watch it anymore!

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Tue 25-Mar-14 21:18:17

Without giving anything away, can someone say how far behind we are in the UK? Just so I know how long to avoid any reference to this awesome episode smile

I thj

I think we're 9 or 10 episodes behind.

SconeRhymesWithGone Tue 25-Mar-14 23:01:06

We have the same problem in reverse for Downton Abbey; we are several months behind in the States. I have come across some spoilers from clicking on MN threads.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels Tue 25-Mar-14 23:23:40

shock Whaaaaaat? Are we that far behind? Was it the season finale or something? Don't answer, I don't want to know anything...

northender Wed 26-Mar-14 07:03:44

Just checked, we're 7 episodes behind

anonacfr Wed 26-Mar-14 11:32:08

It wasn't the season finale as far as I know the season is 22 episodes and this was episode 15.
Stay away from the internet if you don't want to know what happens!

Saying that it's a shame that a lot of shows like Game of Thrones, 24, Walking Dead etc are only one or two days behind but some aren't. In the age of google, Twitter, Facebook, entertainment blogs etc it is SO hard to not find out what happens on TV shows.

SconeRhymesWithGone Wed 26-Mar-14 11:52:43

Definitely not the season finale. They showed scenes from several upcoming episodes. It is going to be very interesting.

overthemill Wed 26-Mar-14 14:03:46

the episode shown on USA TV this sunday was episode 15

aliciaflorrick Thu 27-Mar-14 07:38:46

I just came on here to see if anyone was watching at US pace, I have nobody to talk to about it but oh my goodness. This season has got to be the best one yet in my opinion

Anyone else thinking kalinda's accent gets more English every week?

overthemill Thu 27-Mar-14 10:27:39

Yes I think she reverts to English accent when kalinda gets excited. Don't forget she's meant to be Canadian I think? But we don't know her place of origin. Her nasty husband was English.

Am loving this season but I am a due hard and just love all of it!

SconeRhymesWithGone Thu 27-Mar-14 12:26:30

But her mistakes when she makes them are to pronounce some words with a non-rhotic accent which would be incorrect in the great majority of Canadian accents too. But I love her character. I just have a thing about accents. Generally speaking, British actors are better at American accents than the reverse. Scottish and Irish actors seem to be especially good at American accents, perhaps because of the common rhotic factor.

anonacfr Thu 27-Mar-14 13:08:14

Did you think Matthew Goode (prosecutor) did a good American accent? I know a lot of fans were disturbed by it.

Kalinda had a couple of moments in the last episode where she sounded completely British. There was one specific scene specifically... grin

anonacfr Thu 27-Mar-14 13:08:54

Aliciaflorrick feel free to PM me.

SconeRhymesWithGone Thu 27-Mar-14 16:55:12

Goode's accent was too self-conscious at times and some of his vowel sounds were sometimes overdone. It's hard to describe.

The best is Hugh Laurie in House. In all the years I watched that show, I only heard one word, "placard" pronounced in a non-American way.

overthemill Thu 27-Mar-14 17:57:15

I assume Matthew Goode is attempting to break into the USA market - he's a good actor though so maybe just not enough voice coaching

SconeRhymesWithGone Thu 27-Mar-14 18:02:08

I just watched the episode again. I think he is a good actor; I am sure the accent will improve.

anonacfr Thu 27-Mar-14 19:01:43

I thought he had a great rapport with Will and his last scene was great. I read that his accent was distracting because too 'vague' (it that makes sense).
I have to say to me it was a hell of lot less noticeable than Kalinda's semi American accent.

Ooh, I love Matthew Goode, I'm looking forward to him cropping up.

SconeRhymesWithGone Thu 27-Mar-14 20:06:34

The vague comment makes sense. One reason that Alan Cumming's accent is so good is that it has regional undertones: east coast mixed with Midwest.

I also don't understand why they can't sometimes use their own accents. We do have many British expats working in the US, including lawyers. In Eli's case though, I don't think he would come across as quite so Machiavellian with his own Scottish accent; it would seem too friendly to most Americans.

overthemill Thu 27-Mar-14 20:59:42

I love Eli! And his accent is very good I think. He's totally nailed it.

DustBunnyFarmer Thu 27-Mar-14 21:00:56

Poor Eli and his unrequited love for Ugly Betty. Apricots!

northender Thu 27-Mar-14 22:23:21

Next weeks episode looks good

Nancy66 Fri 28-Mar-14 07:22:31

I've also seen the big spoiler, pretty hard to miss if you look at US sites.

I read that Kalinda deliberately has a strange accent to maintain the mystery surrounding her character: is she American, is she British, is she pretending to be either/both.

ArtisanScotchEgg Sun 30-Mar-14 14:29:56

So the judge that Jackie saw off - what was the actress in when she was younger?

SconeRhymesWithGone Sun 30-Mar-14 15:30:28

Wasn't that Mary Stuart Masterson? She has been in a lot of things. My favorite performance of hers was in Fried Green Tomatoes.

Dozer Mon 31-Mar-14 16:57:50

shock spoilers!

Alicia's life as a FT WOHM is so glam and DC so self sufficient. somehow can't see my 40s / DCs' teenage years as a WOHM quite living up to it in UK commuterville!

Also, no-one is ever shown cooking or eating. All svelte workaholic lawyers with young masterchef DC!

Tweetinat Mon 31-Mar-14 17:07:38

aliciaflorrick - yes, also watching at US pace and saw the latest episode last week. I won't spoil it for others but i'm still getting my head round it!!! absolutely brilliant programme! still am like shock whenever I think about it!

Tweetinat Mon 31-Mar-14 17:11:32

Oh, just scrolled back to read earlier messages and see there's a few of you who have watched 'the' episode of the century (or had it spoiled for you). So glad i hadn't read the plot line - it's a fantastic episode. Step away from Google if you're tempted - it's not worth it!

overthemill Mon 31-Mar-14 18:01:11

dozer but you don't need food if you drink a much as they do...

Dozer Tue 01-Apr-14 14:11:47

True overthemill, the tequila, wine, work and sex diet!

SpanishFly Wed 02-Apr-14 13:54:21

I'm very very confused. In the UK, Diane was basically voted out of the company and Will wouldn't ever forgive her. Yet she's back at her desk like nothing ever hhappened. What exactly did I miss??!

overthemill Wed 02-Apr-14 14:25:46

No she came back after peter passed her over for the Illinois Supreme Court. It was a nice episode. Just seen ep 16 of current season ( am going with US schedule not IK). Suffice to say I cried buckets.. Xx

SpanishFly Wed 02-Apr-14 16:13:51

I must have only half paid attention to that episode. Presumably it was partly because she discovered which clients were leaving LG?

overthemill Wed 02-Apr-14 17:04:25

Peter dumped Diane because she hurt Alicia. Alicia stealing clients. Diane unhappy . Peter retaliates. Eli not happy, not happy at all! Diane goes to will, wi says you can come back but on my terms I'm taking the firm places!

anonacfr Wed 02-Apr-14 17:18:09

Yes that was a v low blow by Peter. I was v annoyed they didn't show Alicia's reaction to it.
I found in this series she has been so sanctimonious and victim-playing when quite frankly she doesn't have a leg to stand on. She lied directly to Will for weeks when he asked her repeatedly if she'd heard anything about the associates leaving.
Then she was all flirty just when he'd resigned himself that they were just friends.
Then she walks off and gets her son to steal company files via cloud? (Totally illegal)? She's been really shitty this season.

anonacfr Wed 02-Apr-14 17:18:31

Even her reaction to what's happened in the States has been shitty.

SpanishFly Wed 02-Apr-14 18:26:16

Could someone pm me to tell me where I can watch the US ones free of charge...?

SconeRhymesWithGone Wed 02-Apr-14 18:41:54

Alicia is not nearly as nice as before and Eli has become a more sympathetic character. I think this has made the series even more interesting.

diddl Wed 02-Apr-14 18:43:59

I'm on my tablet, Spanish and can't see how to pmconfused

SpanishFly Wed 02-Apr-14 18:56:39

Thanks for the message diddl. I'm firing up the laptop as we speak!

SpanishFly Wed 02-Apr-14 19:09:46

and I've inadvertently seen what happens... Gah. Ah well, I'll just watch the UK episodes now!!

TheDietStartsTomorrow Thu 03-Apr-14 01:16:26

I just skipped ahead and the next few episodes. All I can say is wow. I was actually shaking and my heart was beating so hard as I watched it. I had to stop and remind myself that it's only acting and is all made up but I'm still agog.

Excellent, excellent episodes though I must say.

Dozer Thu 03-Apr-14 16:40:09

You are all very naughty <tut tut>

Bue Fri 04-Apr-14 13:24:22

shock I completely missed that the judge was Mary Stuart Masterson! She looks completely different!

I have managed to avoid the spoiler so far. I can't imagine what it could be. The Good Wife is usually so... uncontroversial.

overthemill Fri 04-Apr-14 14:06:59

Ooh bye, post back once you do see it. Dying to discuss it with someone. Think I held my breath through all of ep 16!

minniebar Fri 04-Apr-14 16:29:46

Loved last night's episode (UK), despite Mr 'Top of the mornin!' Professional Oirish. Please be gone asap.

I thought the scene where Will was trying to prepare his cross-examination was great - so much said with just his expressions. I didn't think the actor actually had that much range!

TheDietStartsTomorrow Fri 04-Apr-14 16:46:43

I think the way Alicia treats Peter is really shitty. She barely talks to him and hardly spends quality time with him. It's as though she feels that she's bestowing some great grace upon him by being his wife. Peter is also such a pushover in front of her.

I think if the roles were reversed and it was Peter who was always giving Alicia the cold shoulder it wouldn't have been tolerated. I know Peter slept around but he's really been well and truly apologetic about that and has not looked at another woman since. But after Will, she doesn't really have the right to use that as an eternal right to look down her nose at him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Peter had another affair. I'm not at all saying it would be okay for him to do so. But I do think that he gets no love at all from his own partner and whenever you have a marital situation devoid of any love and companionship then one of them will inevitably start looking elsewhere.

Do they even sleep together? They never do any real couple stuff like sit down and have a cup of tea together, or curl up in front of the tele, or sit in bed and have a conversation about something, or ring each other or text to say when he'll be home. They don't even tell each other they love each other.

They probably don't.

BranchingOut Fri 04-Apr-14 16:59:29

I think they live in separate houses still?

minniebar Fri 04-Apr-14 18:08:37

They seem to shag each other more than talk to each other!

'Peter hasn't shagged another woman since' - OR HAS HE?!!

anonacfr Fri 04-Apr-14 18:10:57

Peter didn't just have an affair he slept with prostitutes (once in the marital bed) and went to jail because he used public funds to buy gifts and pay for his whores.
I think they are as bad as each other. They have a 'friends with benefits' relationship at the moment but still live separately.

Peter needs Alicia for his political career and loves her as the mother of his children. She is addicted to the kudos that comes with being a governor's wife and is blatantly turned on by the fact that he has in the past used very dodgy tactics to 'protect his family'.
They are as bad as each other and have a very unhealthy relationship.

In the past Alicia felt she needed to stick with her marriage out of duty and guilt. She clearly has issues with her mother being a flake and wants to be 'the good wife'. Now she just uses Peter. IMO he deserves it.

diddl Fri 04-Apr-14 18:14:11

I thought that he'd had an affair with Kalinda at some point?

Jackie is so loathsome!

Love Eli Gold!!

SconeRhymesWithGone Fri 04-Apr-14 18:21:03

Eli is my favorite. Machiavelli but with a heart beating somewhere in there. Such a complex character and played to perfection by Alan Cumming.

anonacfr Fri 04-Apr-14 18:28:49

He had sex with Kalinda once which is why Alicia and Kalinda aren't friends any more.
At the time she was working for him but that whole storyline was v vague so we don't know when/why the encounter took place (she implied there was a reason).

Eli is ironically turning out to be one of the nicer characters. I love Diane as well- she's ruthless in business but moral in her character.

dawntigga Fri 04-Apr-14 20:35:49

Hello my people, watched the spoiler ep without knowing what was coming, in fact I may have started a thread about it and had several wtabf moments.

TheDietStartsTomorrow Fri 04-Apr-14 20:59:33

Yes Peter did some terrible, terrible things and if it was my husband I wouldn't have even stayed with him. There is no way I could forgive him sleeping with prostitutes but Alicia also slept with Will so yes, they're as bad as each other. Neither have a right to point the finger at each other but Alicia just jaunts around wih such an entitled attitude.

Just saw a trailer for a future episode where Alicia calls him a bastard and Peter calls her a selfish bitch. Finally, a bit of truth.

onedev Fri 04-Apr-14 21:48:19

I don't think Alicia is as bad at all - there's a world of difference sleeping with prostitutes & numerous affairs compared to sleeping with an ex after you've broken up with your husband.

Maybe I have no moral compass either as I love them all, including Peter grin.

overthemill Fri 04-Apr-14 22:21:25

Malinda slept with peter when he helped her change identity

TheDietStartsTomorrow Sat 05-Apr-14 08:17:16

The thing is, Peter's put it all behind him and has shown remorse and since then, he hasn't ever shown any indication that he'd falter again. Even when the beautiful blonde pouty lady turned up (I forget her name- the pregnant pop tart one) he was always well behaved. Alicia on the other hand, looks like she'll jump into Will's arms at any opportunity and has been unfaithful since too.

Anyway, I too, think they're all fab characters. All of them with such depth. The only one I'm not so keen on is Micheal J Fox's character who is extremely irritating and also this new Irish cocky guy who's too far up his own rear end. I mean, which idiot goes and steals all the furniture from someone else's office and gets away wih it. Jerk.

As you can see, I'm far too invested in his drama. blush I'm ashamed to say that when I watched 'THE' episode I had to get out of bed again to watch the next episode because I couldn't sleep thinking about them all. And because they didn't show the conversation between Cary and Diane that she alluded to when firing the insensitive client I erm.... I made it up in my head and imagined it out so I would to miss it.

anonacfr Sat 05-Apr-14 09:30:05

Love the idea do making up a scene in your head. You're worse than me! Diane and David Lee were superb throughout that episode.

anonacfr Sat 05-Apr-14 09:58:47

However I think the only reason Peter hasn't shown any inclination to cheat again is that he's aware Alicia is still unsure of their relationship. He wants to be Governor and he needs his perfect family. Also he's attracted by Alicia detached and playing hard to get. He was obviously bored with Alicia the housewife. They still had sex but he seems to be one of those men (modelled on his father from Jackie's comments here and there) who believes it's acceptable to have a family and casual sex on the side.

Right now wants his 'wife' but if you remember he was v insensitive about buying back the family old house, when his mother (evil Jackie) in one episode was telling him he shouldn't have to grovel to Alicia anymore he clearly agreed with her....

From what we see of him I believe it would only be a matter of time until he cheated again.

dawntigga Sat 05-Apr-14 10:14:51

It's all a matter of time before Peter does something quite horrid, again. As for Alicia, sorry, but what woman wouldn't want to make her cheating, sordid husband pay and pay for doing what Peter did? If it turns into another Breaking Bad where the fans start making Alicia the evil one I shall be quite cross.

As for 'the thing that happened that must not be talked about' I STILL think that the thing it happened to should be called 'the brownie' and the event should be called 'dropping the brownie', then we can all be emotionally traumatised by the brownie and talk about it whilst giving away very little.

overthemill Sat 05-Apr-14 10:48:48

I also make up make stories too! Though David lee was beautifully played in ep 16 and so out of character! Please hurry up everyone so we don't have to keep talking about the brownie.

Surprised that Owen didn't pop up in ep 16. Want to know more about kalinda but not that stupid husband story line. Peter is a bastard seduced by power and Alicia was silly trophy wife until she discovered her power. ( good back story revealed in ep 15) and I would leave my DH for Eli if he asked

Dozer Sat 05-Apr-14 11:16:55

Have asked MnHQ to put a spoiler alert on this thread!

Dozer Sat 05-Apr-14 11:28:27

Have read all the episode guides online shock, can't wait to see them, but don't think there's a way to view episodes ahead from UK without breaching copyright / supporting piracy, which I disagree with.

Dozer Sat 05-Apr-14 11:30:20

No way Peter and Alicia were as bad as each other. He slept with prostitutes and others. They had been separated some time when she had the affair with Will. Not the same.

overthemill Sat 05-Apr-14 12:11:31

dozer I share your view but I simply cannot abide 98% of the crap TV in UK so use steaming sites to watch TV prigs I enjoy. I believe I use one that is legal but would like to know if that's not the case. And, I hope that nothing I have said is a spoiler as I haven't revealed any plot from ahead of where UK is up to - I would DIE if that happened, like being told the ending of a book.

onedev Sat 05-Apr-14 12:37:11

Totally agree with anon re power etc

Also, are we sure Peter hasn't shagged Angel? Eli's splutter was hilarious when she said she was calling the baby Peter!

anonacfr Sat 05-Apr-14 16:46:37

No there was a ridiculous reveal where it emerged that the father was Peter Bogdanovitch playing himself in a quick cameo.

The whole pregnancy storyline was ridiculous. The actress was obviously more pregnant than her character- they should just have made her pregnant from the start and cut out on the 'comedy' side of it. Lots of competent professional women work while pregnant- it doesn't turn them into bumbling annoying idiots.

onedev Sat 05-Apr-14 16:49:19

I didn't realise she was pregnant in real life - that makes more sense then. I keep waiting for something sinister to happen with her!

Who's Peter Bogdanovitch?

diddl Sat 05-Apr-14 16:55:41

The reveal of PB was in the episode after Eli splutters on a drink.

I think it's this Thurs on UK tv.

onedev Sat 05-Apr-14 17:19:46

Who is he though?

anonacfr Sat 05-Apr-14 17:39:55

Actress has now had the baby so I guess she'll have a fake tummy in the next episodes if we see her again.

overthemill Sat 05-Apr-14 19:19:06

He's a famous film director made the iconic though hard to follow 'the last picture show' with cybil shepherd when she was just starting acting - showing my age. I was deeply impressed they got him to appear!

The comedy aspect was annoying but I did love Eli's expression when he spluttered!

onedev Sat 05-Apr-14 19:49:18

Thanks both. I did google him after I asked but I've never heard of him or any of his movies!

Sounded a bit dodgy though with the dead playboy bunnies younger sister?? Given (from what I've read) she was 14 when he started pursuing her, just all v wrong & no idea why they'd have him in The Good Wife!!

Oh arse. I wish I didn't know what was happening next week in terms of who the father of the baby is. Might unwatch this thread-I hate spoilers.

SpanishFly Sat 05-Apr-14 21:29:31

Antoinette me too. I'm actually really pissed off about it. The "spoiler alert" has only just been added, so when I checked Threads I'm On I had no idea there would be such a blatant bloody spoiler.

northender Sat 05-Apr-14 21:34:53

For anyone interested, I've started another (hopefully spoiler free) thread. Can't do a link on my tablet though smile

aliciagardner Sun 06-Apr-14 08:29:39

dozer have PMd you. No spoiler!

so can someone tell me where we can talk about the brownie?? wow

dawntigga Mon 07-Apr-14 10:54:45

we could talk about it here, after the brownie dropped I had to phone Mr Tigga and wail about it, his response was: 'The brownie is not real'. Bastard!

overthemill Mon 07-Apr-14 11:11:15

Where's the spoiler ? Was it the paternal identity? I am sorry if I contributed. I hate spoilers. I can't wait for uk to catch up so we can talk about the ginormous huge bloody brownie. I may never recover

my dp was equally not interested hence posting on here.wouldn't like to ruin it for anyone though.

SpanishFly Mon 07-Apr-14 17:50:12

Yes the spoiler was the paternity issue. The last UK episode was the brilliant line when she says she's going to call the baby Peter. Then someone explained who the dad was here, which was before "spoiler alert" was added to the thread title.

minniebar Tue 08-Apr-14 08:19:30

Can we please not even hint at what the other big spoiler is here? Even just people's reactions give little clues, and I'd rather enjoy it when it happens if my parents in America don't tell me first

minniebar Tue 08-Apr-14 08:21:04

Actually, hint away. I'd forgotten about the other thread and that this one now has 'spoilers' in the title blush

I was always team Alicia until now but I have to agree with Peter that she is such a selfish bitch. I can't believe she treats him with such disdain. She's selfish towards everyone around her actually. Peter, the kids, her collegues... she needs to get off her high horse.

I've caved since the kids went back to school and I'm now 3 episodes ahead of UK.

I won't do spoilers but OMG I didn't see that coming.

Bumpotato do you mean the dropping of the brownie or the most recent ep?

Also, re most recent ep, AGAIN Alicia?

BumPotato Wed 30-Apr-14 13:10:01

I'm up to episode right up to date with US.

dawntigga Wed 30-Apr-14 17:16:18

I did, I might have been shouting a bit watching it.

It's tonight... THE episode. Anyway I think it is from the adverts...

I know because of spoilers and DH doesn't despite me and his mother nearly telling him. I'm practically nervous grin

BumPotato Thu 08-May-14 14:16:21

I'm looking forward to watching it again...and seeing this thread tonight/tomorrow.

iK8 Thu 08-May-14 20:06:09

Ooh it's going to be a great episode tonight!

I found out what happened by accident while trying to look something up about the show. Do not read the Wikipedia page for the show if you don't want it ruined for you sad

Do watch the programme tonight if you're a fan!

TheresLotsOfFarmyardAnimals Thu 08-May-14 20:47:23

15 minutes!

iK8 Thu 08-May-14 22:01:21

Good episode

Are we allowed to tell bout tonight's episode?!?!

dawntigga Mon 19-May-14 12:46:10

Who watched Weird Year.

Go Diane!

GloriousGoosebumps Mon 19-May-14 14:42:10

Well I certainly didn't! The big question for me is how can Cary's decision to scupper the merger by going behind Alicia's back to Louis Canning not bring the partnership to it's knees? Not that the idea of a merger was a particularly sensible one given that the partners and staff of Florrick Argos would have found themselves managed out of the new firm sooner rather than later.

dawntigga Mon 19-May-14 17:14:15

I foresee Canning, Lee and Argos.
