This is a thread for all fans of the weekday soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm.

Right, now the stalker storyline is out of the way, I think it's time to channel our inner Howard and whip this programme into shape:

1. Every opportunity must be taken to get TBFE in his fishing or army gear and get him all ruffly haired.

2. Heston must stop messing about with restaurant reviews (and that reptilian Emma) and realise his love for Mrs T.

3. Mrs T should wear her flirty wig (see note 2).

4. Zara will continue to master acting purely by moving her eyebrows and saying "really?".

5. The Gobbys will appear in as many episodes as possible to add comedy value.

So line up troops and let's march into the world of WTF!

Everyone is welcome, newbies, regulars and even cast members (arf).

<salutes>

curlyclaz13 Fri 06-Sep-13 15:59:49

Cheers, marking place ready for Monday's next thrilling instalment.

Hello!

Ooooo exciting first post smile

So the gun obviously was real or he wouldn't have given in so easily. How did he not see that Al had emailed the address to Gobby plod if he'd been watching him and how on earth was Alice saved?

Damn took too long to write!

Raahh Fri 06-Sep-13 16:02:30

Here, Sir, yes sir!grin

I'd love to think a cast member was lurking. Even if it was only the extra wot occasionally tidies the filing. grin

Ooh, the last one filled up quickly! Thank you MsN

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 06-Sep-13 17:02:24

Oh lovely lovely new thread. Thank you MsN! flowers

However can I add to point 1 please? More trips to the gym for TBFE please. And showers. Plenty of showers. Or saunas. Or trips to the gym, including saunas and showers.

Zara went to the Roger Moore school of acting - 365 uses for an eyebrow raise.

MrsReiver Fri 06-Sep-13 17:15:27

Hello peeps, will hopefully be able to join you on Monday but not guaranteed as it's a school holiday. They've only been back 3 weeks....

toldmywrath Fri 06-Sep-13 17:18:20

Thanks for the new thread MsNo and hark at Anne getting a bit carried away there.
Curly -excellent precis in previous thread if you could do one every day, I wouldn't need to watch

ClayDavis Fri 06-Sep-13 17:39:50

Marking place on the new thread. Just watching now on iplayer.

Hello. Can i be a newbie again? I caught the tale end of today's and it looked very WTF. I feel I have missed loads but nothing at all IYKWIM.

MrsReiver Fri 06-Sep-13 17:54:20

Hey Sparkling, welcome back!

Thanks MrsR, I haven't been able to commit after the summer/Wimbledon break, but now the schools are back I am going to try and concentrate. smile

ClayDavis Fri 06-Sep-13 17:58:32

How on earth have the scriptwriters managed to turn the climax of a stalker story line into a comedy.

PMSL @ 'cut myself shaving'

Sorry to be annoying but do we know who Gus is? I have never seen him before.

ClayDavis Fri 06-Sep-13 18:02:05

He worked in the estate agents that Jaz bought her house from.

Oh right thanks Clay, I thought I had missed something vital.

Hi Sparkling - Same here, I have only watched one episode since the Wimbledon break, but the thread has told me all I need to know and I'm hoping to keep up a bit better now the DCs are back at school.

AlphaBetaOoda Fri 06-Sep-13 18:41:20

Welcome back sparkling

Can we keep CrackerAl now? He's got the hang of being WTF.

Is Alice going to join the staff at the Mill?

And when's Austen week?

Oh & where's Kevin? Even the FB page misses him

HoggyTruffle Fri 06-Sep-13 19:26:50

Lovely new thread MsN. I'll be back at the end of next week for more live WTF.

Maybe you could recap a few of the abbreviations for any newcomers sucked into the addiction? You can start a list next week when falling asleep watching the shit less interesting episodes which are bound to start next week. grin

If you go onto Facebook for Hanbury Hall and scroll down to July there are pics of Mrs T in a bonnet and Daniel doing a Mr D'Arcy. grin

MsNobodyAgain Fri 06-Sep-13 19:49:25

Nice to see we're off to a flying start. smile

Good idea re the acronyms Hoggy. I'll paste the ones from the last thread:

'FOD' means Forehead of Doom. Nurse Mandy because, well... she's got a large forehead. grin

'6tl' is Emma, sixth time lucky as the actress that plays her had bit parts in Doctors 5 times before she joined as Emma.

Howard is 'TBFE' - the bloke from Emmerdale

Jas is 'Jizz' as she had a job on a sex chatline.

Well Kevin went off on holiday with his mates but the Monday after he'd gone he was off sick so Zara had to fill in for him and miss her appointment with some posh dr club thingy and since then hasn't been back so could still be on his hols and they forgot about that on his sick day or he was really really sick?!?

curlyclaz13 Fri 06-Sep-13 20:15:54

Here some exciting info on the 'storyliners' hmm www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/tv/posts/Doctors

MrsReiver Fri 06-Sep-13 20:25:31

Can't wait for Austen week grin

AlphaBetaOoda Fri 06-Sep-13 21:08:02

The truth is stranger than fiction and we often can’t run true stories because they just don’t feel credible.

I dread to think what they rejected confused

HoggyTruffle Fri 06-Sep-13 21:24:00

I've looked at the link too Curly. Filled with drama, intrigue, conflict and comedy? hmm

Raahh Fri 06-Sep-13 21:54:46

grin

They do take themselves seriously, the writers. Bless'em.

I mean. Ibsen or Shakespeare it ain't grin

I loved Shakespeare week, though. Barry in his yellow trews, trying to woo Juuuuuuuliaaaaaaa

Classic.grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 06-Sep-13 23:56:35

So they think the stuff they run is "credible"???? Are they on drugs???

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 06-Sep-13 23:58:29

I really really really hope Barry is in Austen week.

I have to tell you thst I have tyoes this lots of time besfore it wad right. I have been out for somebn drinkies [grin}

How are you feeling anne ? brew

Morning Anne. Good night? grin

Just read the spoilers. May not be a good time to start watching. Tedious long running storyline alert.

Morning Anne <offers paracetamol>.

Sparkling - so long as it doesn't concern 6TL. On the plus side, according to the Radio Times there is a Howard in the gym scenario next Friday.

Well hopefully in between the next long running unbelievable tedious storyline there will be moments of bizarre humour/TBFE with his top off. grin

AlphaBetaOoda Sat 07-Sep-13 09:14:05

who don't get Anne over excited this morning don't think she'll cope grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Sat 07-Sep-13 11:31:36

Sshh! I may be a little fragile this morning.

Sorry about last night. blush

TBFE in the gym, you say? Now that is a lovely thought as I nurse my sore head lying on the sofa...

ClayDavis Sat 07-Sep-13 14:28:11

<whispers>

How are you feeling now Anne?

AnneEyhtMeyer Sat 07-Sep-13 14:45:56

Grim, Clay. blush

Sat watching a backlog of Neighbours episodes and drinking gallons of water. Thankfully DH and DD have gone out!

curlyclaz13 Sat 07-Sep-13 15:06:11

Hope you feel better soon Anne, you kept me amused during the late night feed grin

Glad you've got a peaceful house to recover in AnneEyhtMeyer! Think you kept us all amused wink

AnneEyhtMeyer Sat 07-Sep-13 15:50:32

Glad I've been entertaining for you all - makes the headache almost worth it. wink

Raahh Sat 07-Sep-13 15:55:03

grin @ Anne

I've read the spoilers. I am going to get annoyed by the on-going storylinesad

Crack-Al will be at a bit of a loose end now he is no longer sleuthing. grin

MsNobodyAgain Sat 07-Sep-13 21:03:09

I must have missed something because I am quite looking forward to the next few weeks. Must re-read spoilers and see what is bothering some of you.

Busy weekend here though. Sister and BIL visiting. It's all go grin

Raahh Sat 07-Sep-13 21:04:35

I think it's the subject matter of the Zaniel storyline, MsN , I don't like stuff like that. sad

MsNobodyAgain Sat 07-Sep-13 21:21:21

I get ya.

I keep thinking of poor CrackerAl. Did that poison dart get him in the arse? Poor man. And Jizz still won't like him because he's fugly not her type.

Raahh Sat 07-Sep-13 21:22:47

Poor CrackerAlsad

HoggyTruffle Sat 07-Sep-13 21:40:36

PMSL at Anne's late night antics (however, most of it did make sense).

I've just cracked open wine but I'm sure you are tucked up in bed now. grin

MsNobodyAgain Sat 07-Sep-13 21:50:32

I got banned from an online forum once for drunken posting. Oh the shame! blush

AnneEyhtMeyer Sat 07-Sep-13 21:51:40

shock

Please don't let me get banned! I couldn't do without the Doctors thread!

MsNobodyAgain Sat 07-Sep-13 21:54:51

You won't get banned Anne! They'd have to ban everyone on the weekly drunk thread! grin

HoggyTruffle Sat 07-Sep-13 21:54:52

Ooh, which site MsN?

Your computer will blow up before you get banned Anne - too much drool from TBFE watching!

MsNobodyAgain Sat 07-Sep-13 21:59:51

Lol Hoggy

It was on an ivf site I posted on years ago (well, must be 11 years ago as DD is 10). I don't drink these days so chances of it happening again are pretty low (unless someone REALLY grinds my gears).

I'm dead nice, honest! grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Sat 07-Sep-13 22:03:57

grin Hoggy

AlphaBetaOoda Sun 08-Sep-13 08:17:15

You're tempting me to the spoilers now...

AlphaBetaOoda Sun 08-Sep-13 08:23:48

I assume Zaniel story means next weeks? I don't like that sort as they are usually massively inaccurate but can't expect accuracy on doctors and scaremongering.

I've only read the start of next week spoilers
<willpower>
grin

toldmywrath Sun 08-Sep-13 09:10:43

I have an iron will when it comes to spoilers-never look at them.Does anyone think it enhances the Doctors viewing experience, if so please let me know & I might take a peak.
Willpower regarding chocolate & anything else is very weak grin

MsNobodyAgain Sun 08-Sep-13 09:35:14

I don't think it enhances much and I tend to forget most of the details once I've read them.

I am posting from my phone as I have disconnected the wifi. I am sick of the DCs and Minecraft and Nascars. I've told them the router is broken. WW3 is currently happening in my front room. Lord help me.

AlphaBetaOoda Sun 08-Sep-13 09:57:14

Lock your door MsN and hunker down ( hope you've a stash of chocolate in there with you! ).

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 08-Sep-13 09:57:56

Are you still alive, MsN?? grin

Can't you just change the password rather than turning it off? (n.b. I have no idea how this is actually done)

MsNobodyAgain Sun 08-Sep-13 12:26:26

I don't know about setting a password. I DO know I have just plugged the router back in. It was sad face city without it. Unbearable.

Well, at least they dusted their rooms and hoovered. smile

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 08-Sep-13 12:34:31

So glad they haven't tied you up and tortured you, MsN.

I am quite worried about online gaming with dss. He can connect to our wifi on his tablet but I periodically make his tablet forget it so he has to ask for it and I know roughly what he's doing. He doesn't spend loads of time on it as we tend to do more family stuff when he's here.

I rarely read the spoilers but I don't think it's made much difference on the weeks I have.

HoggyTruffle Sun 08-Sep-13 15:44:49

Children dusting and hovering! I need to start training mine more.

I have said there will be no computer games Mon-Thu so that any homework gets done. I'm waiting for the complaining to start tomorrow evening. grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 08-Sep-13 15:56:24

I'd like a hovering child, Hoggy. Would save a fortune in shoes. grin

Raahh Sun 08-Sep-13 16:45:08

<sigh> first weekend back at school and 3 hours- that's *3 HOURS*- of ds crying about his homework. I have lost the will to live and become screamy parent, I'm afraid. It's not that he's not perfectly capable, just lazy. And he wants someone else to do it for him. He has just started year 6, is apparently headed for level 6 sats papers- and all I get is tears. I hate fucking homework. angry. It's not even difficult, he just doesn't want to do it.

<and breath> grin

I read the spoilers every week. They don't tell you anything- and are written in such a way, the episode bears no resemblance to whatever it is they are supposed to spoilgrin.

The only time spoilers live up to their name is when I look up who was booted off Strictly, the night before the 'fake' results showgrin

toldmywrath Sun 08-Sep-13 17:21:41

I thought last night's Strictly was live until my DS said it wasn't. Good job cos I then had to go & pick DH up during it-I got in the car & Terry Wogan was introducing Erin Boag & Anton Du Bek live (dancing on the radio)

toldmywrath Sun 08-Sep-13 17:23:02

Brucie is getting doddery & has to keep looking at his notes-perhaps it'll be his last year compering & Anton can take on the job. grin

MsNobodyAgain Sun 08-Sep-13 17:30:41

Raahh I am so with you on the homework. Oh yes.

AlphaBetaOoda Sun 08-Sep-13 18:15:37

I'm convinced Anton is usually given an Early leaver so he can take over if Bruce drops dead mid series.

toldmywrath Sun 08-Sep-13 18:44:22

I lolled at that comment Ooda grin

Raahh Sun 08-Sep-13 18:49:20

Anne - you are so right!

Raahh Sun 08-Sep-13 18:49:59

Ooda, even.

ffs. all the homework angst has fried my brain.

You're probably right AlphaBetaOoda but its a bit confused

Don't even mention homework! Ds1 is only 6 and I've spent a total of 3 hours this weekend too sad

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 08-Sep-13 21:08:59

Damn, Raahh, I thought someone was appreciating my hovering joke!

HoggyTruffle Sun 08-Sep-13 21:14:02

I do have hovering children - hovering asking when dinner is ready because they are always STARVING.

We also have the joys of yr6. I don't care what homework is as long as I never have to create a scene in a shoe box ever again.

Raahh Sun 08-Sep-13 21:16:52

Sorry Anne..
But yes, the joke was funnygrin

curlyclaz13 Sun 08-Sep-13 21:19:46

Do they still do that hoggy ? I remember making a cave scene in year 4 ! Oh the things to looks forward to (mine is 12 weeks old)

HoggyTruffle Sun 08-Sep-13 21:27:46

Yes Curly. We have made a rainforest (in a shoe box), a pirate scene (in a shoe box) ... and then there are the theme days, Roman day, Greek day, Medieval day. The outfit made out of an old sheet comes out for most of them. My crown for Medieval day was a great success but DS refused to wear my Roman soldier helmet because it looked like a chef's hat. (do not under any circumstances google roman soldier helmet as there is a very rude definition on urban dictionary).

Did I mention this was my children's homework hmm

Going into Years 3 and 5 here. No homework yet, but I am dreading it. I suspect this is going to be the year where DS (Yr 5) starts to really struggle, the signs were there at the end of last year (he has Asperger's).

Re Strictly - I was pleased to see Mr Arrogant James Jordan being paired with a no-hoper.

AlphaBetaOoda Mon 09-Sep-13 09:00:43

Dd1 has just started yr9 & GCSEs so I think she's going to get a shock re homework this year.
Dd2 is yr 7 & ditto.
Dreading the little ones & primary homework again. And the horror of book day all over again.

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 09:42:58

Oh don't talk to me about book day. People get very defensive about book day- but where's the logic? it doesn't encourage reading, just competitive costume making. I'd rather spend money on a book than a shit costume. Bu And disney costumes, or re-using Hallowe'en ones, is NOT GOOD ENOUGH and lazy parenting, apparently. We should all be ever so handy, and whip up a costume out of all the stuff we happen to have lying around hmm

Plus the school usually gives days notice about whether they are going to get involved.
<rant>

Hoggy-that is exactly my problem with 'homework' -if they can't do it themselves, then it isn't their homework. DD1 isn't too bad,and last year was very good at doing stuff off her own back, usually un-prompted. Ds has always been a problem- if it's not maths or ICT, he isn't interested. I also hate 'look up on the internet' homework- with no websites offered. I'm savvy enough to know most of Wikipedia is shit, and to ignore sites in 'American English' - but a a 10 year old? And our library has about 6 books in it's non-fiction section. sad

<ranty ranty mcrant>

Apologies, I have raging PMT. I'll be crying soongrin

I think I've been on MN too long. grin

And Who- me too, re-James. His face was a picturegrin

pmsl @ 'Roman soldier helmet' grin

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 09:43:59

But ^here on MN' that should be. My pc ate my rant, Miss.

We don't do anything for book day here.

It was all kicking off in the playground this morning, it seems not everyone got everything so lots of grumpy mums. Apparently on top of mental maths papers to practice, spellings, a comprehension sheet and reading daily my ds should have had times tables sad the joys of year 2!

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 10:13:04

cinnamon -it's mad isn't it? DD1 has just started year 3- and it's a job-share class , and the homework was very dis-jointed. Unfortunately, one of the teachers is the one ds was lumbered with for 2 years, and she is useless- and is famous for having 'favourites'. Ds isn't really affected by who teaches him- he'd do ok anyway. But dd1 is very affected by it, and her year 2 teacher was so brilliant, it's already been a tough first week.

I need Doctors to be very WTF, and for Nadal to win the US open. Then I might cheer up. might grin

And I need wine

My friend is a ta at school and she was the one responsible for giving out the homework and was the one who was being blamed by the teacher this morning. She's the hardest working most careful person I know so I would have thought if she had it it would have been given out but I can see she's going to get the blame sad

I'm very glad ds1 has a new teacher this year as I didn't get on well with the last one. One of my minded children is in her class and the first day I picked him up she just looked at me and said 'you!!' shock obviously not please to have to talk to me regularly again! This teacher definitely had favourites and all were girls with neat and tidy handwriting not bitter at all

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 11:06:18

I still can't believe dd1 is in year 3. She was only 7 3 weeks ago. One of her mates was 8 at the weekend!

Mind you, I had a text from a uni friend, her oldest is 16 next month. We weren't much older than that when we met!shock

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:46:57

Afternoon, fellow WTFers!

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 13:47:56

Afternoon. I see TBFE is still crowing over the Jas thing.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:48:18

"Noreen" has definitely been in it before as several characters, I'm sure.

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:48:30

I'm here- but true to form dd2 has chosen now to start whinging. Every.Single.Day.

So, the mother is criticising the daughter's weight?

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:48:43

TBFE is a hero.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:49:25

You don't get elephants from flies, as my mother always says.

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:49:51

She's pregnant.

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:50:40

My surgery would never let you do this- they would make you make another appointment.

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:51:24

I agree raahh.
I see Kevin is back from holiday or sick or space trip whatever !

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 13:51:31

ding ding ding

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:51:44

Sorry, nope. Stalker orno stalker, Jizz is still boring.
See- preggers.

Bingo!!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:51:57

Oh well spotted, Raahh!

You are right about the appointment, too.

The Mill has midwives? Where were they when Zara went into labour?

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 13:52:10

Virgin my arse

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:52:19

Oh! Virgin birth! They should have saved this one until December!

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:52:31

ooh,it's Marygrin

Where's Mrs T?!

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 13:53:00

I've lived alone too long. I'm starting to fancy Kevin again sad

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:53:09

immaculate conception ! nice to start the week on a sensible note grin

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:53:10

She's due at Christmas-ish though,*Anne*grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:53:20

In actual fact you would think they would have a midwife in the regular cast - loads of opportunities for WTF storylines and home visits!

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:54:15

<sings> 'Away in a manger'....

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:54:15

Oh so she is, Raahh! I hope she finds a room at the Icon!

RippingYarns Mon 09-Sep-13 13:54:29

Victor meldrews neighbour needs a bit of training go bedside manner methinks

Nice to see Jean from dinner ladies back in work

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:54:52

oh,Kevinangry

Don't leave, Al.

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:55:45

Maybe Al can join Mi5 !

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 13:56:06

Tumour?

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 13:56:43

Kev's being horrible.

RippingYarns Mon 09-Sep-13 13:57:15

Gawd I've missed this programme so much :-D

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 13:57:27

I hope Al doesn't leave.

Jizz, on the other hand, I'll organise the leaver's do....

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 13:59:29

Hello Ripping smile

Am I the only one that doesn't like Jas then? (I can't say 'Jizz', the sentence would be allllllll wrong)

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 13:59:30

nice to see you can get an appointment so quick and that when your mum books one you can be seen without notes !

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 14:00:17

Oh god, that's all wrong, I meant I don't like Al!!! I'm all in a tizz over something un-related to Doctors.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:00:26

No, I'm with you MsN. She is dull.

I don't like her either MsNobodyAgain!

Somehow lost track of time missed first 10 mins sad

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:01:23

Oh, no you are on your own then, MsN. I like Al.

So she's been drugged and raped?

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:02:14

ooh a pharmacist/drugging/rapist story, very believable hmm

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 14:02:14

I like Al, he is misunderstood.

Her mother tracks her periods?

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 14:03:14

I'm not buying this.

Or she's shagging the delivery driver and she's embarrassed.

RippingYarns Mon 09-Sep-13 14:03:21

This is looking really sad now - and a bit horrific to be laughing at

I'm turning off for now, I'll be back tomorrow

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:03:34

I can't remember what time my mum left last week let alone a pharmacist 6 months ago !

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:03:35

Oh yes, a pharmacist drugging a person. WTF-tastic! Who was worried that they would run out of WTF storylines? Doctors never disappoints!

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 14:03:48

Kev is being a proper bastard.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:04:58

Surely we would have heard gossip about this from Gobby if it has been going on a while?

What a horrible thing for her mum to say!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:09:54

The mum is used to having complete control - she's awful.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:11:08

Oh! TBFE has loosened his tie!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:11:37

No! I wanted to see the rest of that strip!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:12:44

Oh! There is another plod in the village!!

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 14:13:13

You ok, Annegrin

My Internet has gone off. Hate my phone!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:15:50

Oh Raahh, I really had high hopes of seeing his chest then! Oh well, there's always tomorrow I suppose...

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:16:55

That was quite a serious one really for doctors and sad.
Looks like we are in for some wtf-ness with PC tbfe.

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 14:18:06

I missed the last bit. I feel awful. Ordered DS2 some American import diecast cars off e-bay and made the mistake of telling him they would be here tomorrow. It seems I was wrong.

He is quite badly autistic and he has been counting down the days and the ritual of it coming "box come Tuesday, 1 sleep. Mummy put box on table. Need scissors. Not screwdriver. Me open box"

sad sad sad

I'm shit. I've scoured the net but I can't get one. Even tried specialist shops oop North. He's gonna be so upset.

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:22:37

hopefully they will turn up later or tomorrow ? what cars are they ?

Raahh Mon 09-Sep-13 14:24:54

sad MsN

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 14:27:11

Nascars (American racing cars) which is why they are rare over here.

I know I'm going to have to bit the bullet but it's so crap. I've cried FFS! lmao.

I need to channel my inner Zara.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:28:13

Oh MsN. sad

Will he accept something else until they arrive? Are they coming at some point?

MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 14:32:03

They are coming but it will be Weds/Thurs.

I will go out shortly and try to get him a Monster Jam truck to palm him off with in the meantime. He just doesn't understand. It's bloody heartbreaking sometimes.

Anyway, crying won't help so I'll get down to town and see what I can come up with.

Thanks for listening. thanks

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 14:34:13

Oh it is so difficult in that situation. Hope you manage to find something to make it easier for him. flowers

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:38:24
MsNobodyAgain Mon 09-Sep-13 14:44:53

Thanks curly but I checked Amazon as I thought if I could get next day delivery if I ordered today, that would solve the problem but the are all 3-4 days delivery and the ebay ones should arrive by then.

He is very specific. He wants Kyle Buschs Snickers car and Jamie McMurrays Mcdonalds car. I am going down the bribe him tomorrow option and hope they arrive Weds.

curlyclaz13 Mon 09-Sep-13 14:54:10

Bum, fingers crossed for you

toldmywrath Mon 09-Sep-13 17:18:49

MsNo what a shame, it will be upsetting for him but oh so joyful when they do arrive. Look forward to that (I realise that it's difficult for your DS)
Oh Anne I thought of you when tbfe started stripping! And my DS has said-do you think Howard has got that uniform to be a stripogram for LBGT!! OMG-you & me will have a meltdown if he does. swoon

toldmywrath Mon 09-Sep-13 17:21:40

tennis tennis grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 18:28:37

Haha! Yes at first I thought it was a stripper outfit, but apparently it is a Specials uniform. I can just imagine Driver's face when he goes for his first shift!

AlphaBetaOoda Mon 09-Sep-13 19:44:03

Love that we all thought of Anne when he started stripping!

I guessed pregnant, noted the double appt and the WTF of no one talking about the rapist pharmacist

Fx theNascar arrives tomorrow.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 09-Sep-13 19:46:18

Anyone would think I had a reputation for lusting after middle-aged practice managers in the Midlands.

Hope all went ok with your ds MsNobodyAgain!

I like the police uniform whatever its for smile

MsNobodyAgain Tue 10-Sep-13 07:04:03

No chance of Nascars today. I have checked with the seller - that took me ages as I am an Ebay virgin.

Oh well, someone dust Kevin off and send him this way please. I will leave you all to squabble over the aged Emmerdale bloke.

(Watch Anne...I bet she'll fight you to the death) grin

MrsReiver Tue 10-Sep-13 13:46:18

I watched yesterday's with my 9 year old. When TBFE shot the stapler, DS turned to me and said "What the HECK did we just watch?"

From the mouths of babes....

curlyclaz13 Tue 10-Sep-13 13:47:58

Reporting for doctors duty, small person is sleeping and I have cooking chocolate. I wonder what wtf awaits us today grin

Huh?

One of the blokes in the taxi was in Hollyoaks otherwise I have no idea who they are or what they're doing!

curlyclaz13 Tue 10-Sep-13 13:52:02

Are they living with tbfe ? is the dancer/stripper an ex of one of the soldiers ?

A reunion?

I think no to the first and yes to the second curlyclaz13!

MsNobodyAgain Tue 10-Sep-13 13:58:18

I only have half an eye on it and I'm lost.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 10-Sep-13 14:02:37

Sleeeeeeeeaze bag.

Ugh.

AlphaBetaOoda Tue 10-Sep-13 14:06:33

Yes I'm
Not really getting it today. Not helped
By baby all over my knee And toddler

curlyclaz13 Tue 10-Sep-13 14:06:46

grin at this is Letherbridge not Afghanistan

MrsReiver Tue 10-Sep-13 14:06:54

"This is Letherbridge, not Afghanistan"

I'm glad he cleared that up, I get the two of them confused all the time.

curlyclaz13 Tue 10-Sep-13 14:10:40

tbfe is being very masterful today. I bet Anne is enjoying it grin

Another sad one

Assuming this is a clients baby then?

Nice to see tbfe been less oafish today grin

curlyclaz13 Tue 10-Sep-13 14:13:00

ay Captain Bellamy grin

Was the bloke in charge in Eastenders?

MsNobodyAgain Tue 10-Sep-13 14:14:32

I hate 2-parters.

Well, it was a change from the norm and nearly prised me away from my spreadsheets.

My dad won't watch anything that's more than one part MsNobodyAgain, quite glad it will finish tomorrow as it may all become clear wink

Raahh Tue 10-Sep-13 17:46:20

I missed today, as I fell asleepblush-combination of staying up too late to watch some of the tennis, and dd2 waking up precisely half anhour after this- and not sleeping againangry<tired>

So- a two parter. Will I have chance to watch today's before tomorrow? Will it actually make any difference to my understanding of what is going on if I don't? probably not <worries>

grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Tue 10-Sep-13 18:25:47

Ooh! Looking forward to seeing a bit of TBFE being masterful! Haven't seen today's yet because I was out all day - it is my birthday so went out for lunch and to see a film.

I was hoping for one of you to organise TBFE to do a little strip-tease in his police uniform for me...

Raahh Tue 10-Sep-13 18:32:04

Happy Birthday Anne cake

Sorry about the lack of a stripgrin

AnneEyhtMeyer Tue 10-Sep-13 18:35:28

Thanks, Raahh.

You mean he isn't popping round later? sad

curlyclaz13 Tue 10-Sep-13 18:38:40

Happy birthday Anne wine

HoggyTruffle Tue 10-Sep-13 19:54:55

Happy Birthday Anne cake.

Is this your website?

Raahh Tue 10-Sep-13 19:56:17

pmsl @ that website!grin

HoggyTruffle Tue 10-Sep-13 20:09:50

But are you admitting ownership Raahh? wink

I only had a quick look but there were no obvious topless shots.

Raahh Tue 10-Sep-13 20:20:04

blush busted

grin

MsNobodyAgain Tue 10-Sep-13 20:49:47

Happy birthday Anne!

Not here at the moment eh? Methinks the birthday girl is busy updating THAT website grin

AlphaBetaOoda Tue 10-Sep-13 20:59:30

grin at the website.

AnneEyhtMeyer Tue 10-Sep-13 21:02:46

Thanks fellow WTFers!

Oh that website is fab! I will spend lots of happy times there while DD is at school!

Had a lovely day thanks, been spoiled and had fun!

Happy birthday AnneEyhtMeyer! Glad you were spoilt, that's how all birthdays should be smile

Happy Birthday Anne <rolls in late as usual>

I'm not having much luck with my viewing even with the DCs back at school, tomorrow is my first day off work and I've got an appointment at 2 o'clock sad. However I have just finished my OU module so I have more free time in the evenings to catch up.

AnneEyhtMeyer Tue 10-Sep-13 22:02:25

Thanks all.

Still not watched today's. Will watch it tomorrow when DD is at school.

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 13:17:25

Watching yesterday's. Nice to see TBFE without a tie.

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 13:24:09

Oh I love TBFE. He is lovely lovely lovely.

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 13:46:39

Finished yesterday's just in time for today's.

Hopefully TBFE will feature heavily today.

MrsReiver Wed 11-Sep-13 13:52:48

Ooh it's very shouty and BabyReiver is sleeping. Do pipe down.

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 13:53:26

I'm cooking and trying to watch. This may end badly grin

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 13:55:30

Kevin's hair looks like a cap, and a dodgy badly made one at that hmm

MrsReiver Wed 11-Sep-13 13:56:19

I love Kev's scooby-doo.

uh oh!

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 13:57:27

ohhhhhhhhh, and he's going bald sad

Kev's certainly not the hunk of the mill wink

curlyclaz13 Wed 11-Sep-13 14:00:58

I am very irritable today due to a non sleeping screaming baby and this story is doing my head in. angry

MrsReiver Wed 11-Sep-13 14:02:02

Why is the dude from Eastenders being all husky -does he need a strepsil?

Maybe that's his tough voice!

Sorry to hear about your baby curlyclaz13!

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 14:04:09

Why are the two-parters always crap?

When is TBFE going to do a sexy strip?

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 14:04:41

I'd still do him cinnamon

<lowers tone>

grin

Sorry you're grumpy curly. I'm not, the Nascars have just arrived. Hurrah!!!!

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 14:05:44

Nice that I'm not the only one lowering the tone!

So pleased the Nascars have arrived, MsN! grin

MrsReiver Wed 11-Sep-13 14:05:59

Yeah maybe all pimps talk like that.

I really wish they'd stop shouting, my baby has been like that all morning Curly and I've finally got him to sleep. I turn the volume down when they're shouting, only to have to turn it up again when the pimp starts his whispering.

Are we still talking about Kevin MsNobodyAgain? Yay for the Nascars smile

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 14:08:54

Yes cinnamon. There's too much competition for TBFE so I'll pick off the younger weaker ones, like Kev. grin

curlyclaz13 Wed 11-Sep-13 14:12:26

Glad the cars came MsNo !
ooh he's not happy.

MrsReiver Wed 11-Sep-13 14:12:31

You mean it's not over yet?

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 14:12:53

How could a bloke with a bat get away when they had so much security?

Oh bloody hell, is this a three parter?

I am going to hunt down the man who punched TBFE. angry

A three parter shock

No looking good for tbfe sad

It's Daniel all the way for me grin

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 14:14:09

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Not another part. sad

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 14:15:09

Daniel has his charms, but I'm scared of Zara. (I think I need to realise it's not actually real).

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 14:17:19

Of course it is real, MsN. No one could make up this shit!

I'm a bit think at times, had no idea what he was cutting up!

thick even!!!

curlyclaz13 Wed 11-Sep-13 15:26:01

OK time to 'fess up who is on the fb page and commented about 'getting back to reality' grin

toldmywrath Wed 11-Sep-13 15:30:24

Just caught up-belated birthday wishes to Anne & yay to the Nascars MsNo
Who hit TBFE ? Must've missed that (unless it was on the what's on tomorrow bit- I avoid those)

toldmywrath Wed 11-Sep-13 15:31:05

I must say-it was all a bit much for a daytime soap.

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 16:03:52

It's THREE PARTER!!!

I missed today's- i will have to watch 2 more before tomorrow's!!!

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 16:20:21

The punch is tomorrow, told.

I'm so glad I watched yesterday's before today's, Raahh, I couldn't have managed three in a row of this!

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 19:06:28

I'm going in...

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 19:13:11

See they've gone for 'want a dodgy character, pick a Scouser' again. Am a Manc grin , but even I think this is lazy casting.

Love how, day after a night out, TBFE has not a hair of his Eddie Munster do out of placegrin

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 19:16:49

And great news about the Nascars, MsNo!

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 19:22:09

I'm struggling to concentration.hmm

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 19:28:35

'I'm Howard'

that's reassuringgrin

This is a grim storyline. I like my Doctors storylines wtf, but with humour. And maybe a goldfish.

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 19:45:20

When they do two (or three!) parters the story is always pants.

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 20:05:42

I was going to warn you not to watch it Raahh but Doctors is like the Sirens luring you onto the rocks. We just can't resist.

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 20:07:50

MsNo grin it was- it wascluttering up my series linksgrin

Mind you, I'm not sure I want to watch the second bit. Maybe it's a ploy so that I'll actually be relieved when the Zaniel storyline starstsad

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 20:07:51

MsNo grin it was- it wascluttering up my series linksgrin

Mind you, I'm not sure I want to watch the second bit. Maybe it's a ploy so that I'll actually be relieved when the Zaniel storyline starstsad

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 20:08:07

starts

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 20:08:09

starts

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 20:08:24

oh, ffsgrin

AlphaBetaOoda Wed 11-Sep-13 20:20:11

Some of the Zaniel one must overlap as TBFE took a panicky phone call from Zara.

Are we all NW-ers?
Raah & MsN are Manchester ? I'm in Cumbria, where's everyone else?

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 20:46:21

Midlands

South east smile

HoggyTruffle Wed 11-Sep-13 20:54:01

Born and bred in the NW (almost a scouser), sold out and live in the SE. wink

Is it really worth me watching part 3 tomorrow without the benefit of the first two?

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 20:56:47

Today, I felt very Mancunian/Northern, as I was watching 'Show me, show me', with dd2, and they were rhyming 'giraffe' with scarf.

I was cross. grin

DD2 is obvs posh/adopted- she says 'daaaaahnce' , ffs.

South East here too

HoggyTruffle Wed 11-Sep-13 21:05:10

My DC have confused accents. Dance is also said in a posh way, bus is with a northern U and then they go a bit cockney. I couldn't work out why DD was saying she was angry - turns out she was HUNGRY(channelling her inner Dick van Dyke)

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 21:18:21

grin Hoggy

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 21:21:33

I reminds me of waiting for a train at Stockport station- there were people waiting to go to Buxton.

The tannoy announcement came, folks wereconfused

Where the flip is Backkston?

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 21:30:46

Hoggy I don't think parts 1 and 2 were worth watching so I'd definitely skip part 3 if I was you.

DS2 sounds like a southerner. DS1 talks like Jonathan Woss Ross. It's quite cute when they both go on a bit smile

MsNobodyAgain Wed 11-Sep-13 21:31:51

And I talk like Terry Christian so I'm told hmm

curlyclaz13 Wed 11-Sep-13 21:35:36

Another Midlander here, hey Anne maybe we could visit the set one day ! Maybe as extras you could make an appointment with tbfe for your addiction to dodgy daytime soaps grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 11-Sep-13 21:51:35

Oooh! Good plan Curly!

We could wear Mrs T wigs and have lunch in the Ikon!

HoggyTruffle Wed 11-Sep-13 21:57:32

Get on the FB page and suggest Doctors run a competition for local fans. The prize can be to act as TBFE's wardrobe mistress for a day. Curly and Anne can fight over who undresses dresses him first.

But giraffe does rhyme with scarf confused wink

Ds1 is getting a Norfolk accent (was moved here by my mum at 10 so no accent) he now says compooter and hooge, working hard on him!

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 22:04:40

cinnamon grin

Raahh Wed 11-Sep-13 22:06:52

We sooooooooo need MNHQ to do a Doctors web chat. I realise it's a bit niche, but it would make some sad women who should know better us very happy. grin

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 08:32:40

Web chat with who though?a writer, director , actor TBFE for Anne and Who

MsNobodyAgain Thu 12-Sep-13 08:35:10

A Doctors webchat? Well that would be understood by us sad lot but the rest of MN would probably wade in unsuspecting and ask for advice about piles and fanjo problems.

grin

Raahh Thu 12-Sep-13 09:21:09

MsN- I didn't think of thatgrin

I'm not sure whether to bother with today shock bad Doctors fan . Although, I'm sure the fact I didn't see yesterday's won't matter grin

leezl Thu 12-Sep-13 09:52:01

Ello laydees! Catching up with part 2, good lord, is there really a part 3? What does TBFE stand for? :D

Raahh Thu 12-Sep-13 09:54:47

'The Bloke From Emmerdale'

grin

These are some of the other nicknames we use. grin

'FOD' means Forehead of Doom. Nurse Mandy because, well... she's got a large forehead. grin

'6tl' is Emma, sixth time lucky as the actress that plays her had bit parts in Doctors 5 times before she joined as Emma.

Jas is 'Jizz' as she had a job on a sex chatline.

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 10:02:51

CrackerAl is a new one from Als detective work.
Hestembe is the dream romance of us SDF(Sad Doctors Fans)

leezl Thu 12-Sep-13 10:02:56

Ahaha I knew I'd seen him somewhere before!! And Jizz, well, I thought it just suited her better grin thank you!

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 10:04:16

Was tempted to do a name change to Hestembe or Zaniel or MrsT or something to draw out lurkers but thought the thread would get more confusing

MrsReiver Thu 12-Sep-13 13:48:12

Right here we go, travelling into the realm of WTF once again.

Central Scotland here btw.

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 13:49:01

Ah well pt 3. Soon be over.
Only good bit so far was 'this is letherbridge not Afghanistan'
The boss guy was in Dr Who as a pompous scientist. I can't take him seriously as a gangster.

MrsReiver Thu 12-Sep-13 13:54:17

He was part of the awful Ferreira family in Easties too. Have they all forgotten about her ectopic pregnancy?

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 12-Sep-13 13:58:09

I'm late - just started watching.

Feeling old - just had my eyes tested and need glasses. sad I need different ones for distance and close up too.

I'll just need a zimmer frame to complete the look.

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 13:58:12

FGS don't they have A&E

HoggyTruffle Thu 12-Sep-13 13:59:00

The roundup made it look quite exciting.

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 12-Sep-13 13:59:37

How tall is TBFE?? Is head is almost touching the ceiling!

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 13:59:55

Ooh harsh Anne

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 14:00:12

Crap fighting though

HoggyTruffle Thu 12-Sep-13 14:00:18

It is rather a low ceiling or a strange camera angle

MrsReiver Thu 12-Sep-13 14:00:18

Don't worrt TBFE, Anne will nurse you better.

MrsReiver Thu 12-Sep-13 14:00:24

Don't worrt TBFE, Anne will nurse you better.

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 14:02:10

Google says 6ft 3

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 12-Sep-13 14:04:13

Oh I do like a tall man.

Why isn't the woman in agony with her ectopic pregnancy?

MrsReiver Thu 12-Sep-13 14:04:38

Random disembodied voice....

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 12-Sep-13 14:05:44

Oh, no sooner do I ask about her pain and she remembers to bend over in agony!

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 12-Sep-13 14:09:00

Oh I'm going to get that horrible bastard and kill him.

How could they possibly do that to my lovely TBFE?

HoggyTruffle Thu 12-Sep-13 14:09:53

It's all a bit scary today.

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 14:10:02

If Howard was a special would he have responded with police rather than taking the money back ? I know , taking it seriously isn't right

MrsReiver Thu 12-Sep-13 14:10:08

Wait, what where did GobbyPlod and crew spring from?

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 14:11:00

Why did Gobbyplod have the gun & why hasn't TBFE more injuries?

bellabelly Thu 12-Sep-13 14:11:05

Am so bored of people in Leatherbridge nearly shooting each other all the time...

Morgause Thu 12-Sep-13 14:11:39

Gawd, this storyline is absolute shit, isn't it?

Morgause Thu 12-Sep-13 14:11:41

Gawd, this storyline is absolute shit, isn't it?

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 14:12:21

When the gangster-pompous scientist-from eastenders asked if TBFE was a squaddie I expected him to say 'no I'm a practice manager'

HoggyTruffle Thu 12-Sep-13 14:12:49

Tomorrow looks a bit better...

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 14:13:51

I doubly agree morgause grin

Anyone also watch Holby or Waterloo road? I need a similar thread for them. Casualty has improved slightly.

bellabelly Thu 12-Sep-13 14:14:01

Thank goodness for that, HoggyTruffle! grin

bellabelly Thu 12-Sep-13 14:14:35

Ooh, I do like Waterloo Road. That is always very WTF, isn't it?

Morgause Thu 12-Sep-13 14:18:02

I've given up on Holby and Casualty.

I try to catch Doctors every day, if I can, it's my only soap addiction now.

But sometimes I wonder why.

Raahh Thu 12-Sep-13 14:22:44

humph. i missed today. I may, or may not, bother to catch up. Just skip to tomorrowgrin

I love Holby- which reminds me, I need to catch up with Tuesday (watched GBBO live instead).

'Waterloo Road' used to be one of my big shit telly guilty pleasures- then they moved to Scotland and it got totally ridiculous, and far-fetched (well, even more sogrin) and I gave up. Plus, its always moving around the schedules.

need to get organised- I've already been back to school once, as ds had a headache and they wanted me to give him calpol. Good thing I have a car, and am not that far away!I can't face going out again, is chaos round here whilst they build new tram lines. For the next 3 years <sob>

MsNobodyAgain Thu 12-Sep-13 14:31:03

You had to drive to school to give Calpol? Ffs. Worlds gone mad.

I was late watching. Got 10 minutes in and gave up. Dire. A distinct lack of Mrs T as well. That always puts me in a bad mood.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 12-Sep-13 14:34:14

Our tram lines are nearly finished. Keep seeing trams testing the line. The DCs are fascinated even though we rode on several packed to the rafters trams recently in Blackpool.

Waste of money when a train is cheaper and takes less time imho.

leezl Thu 12-Sep-13 15:18:59

Alpha SAME!! "No, I'm a farmhand turned practice manager"

leezl Thu 12-Sep-13 15:20:02

And I love Holby and Casualty. And any medical programme going. Eek.

Raahh Thu 12-Sep-13 16:44:33

MsN- my point exactly, re the trains. I live 1.5 miles from the airport- and a train station. And another station, half a mile away, which is a direct route to Manchester city centre for £2.40 return, in 10 minutes. The only good thing about the bloody things here is it is providing jobs for the 5 years it will have taken to do it.

wishes they'd done the whole job 20 years ago, when it wouldn't have affected me

grin

And yes- i had to go into school to give him calpol. Lucky I wasn't swanning around Asda out really, isn't it?grin

toldmywrath Thu 12-Sep-13 18:25:52

I'm from the south east too. Last Thurs was the multiple car pile up (130+ cars) on the Sheppey bridge in the fog-was all over the local news. I do not live on or near the Isle of Sheppey, but I've driven over the bridge a few times-it's like driving up to the sky. Now I like the Severn Bridge & the Forth Bridge, but I get scared driving over the Dartford crossing bridge.
No idea why I've typed all that! Does anyone have a favorite bridge or tunnel?
I was driving across the Highlands in May & drove over a proper hump back bridge on the way to Braemar (your car bonnet went up & it was very surreal)

toldmywrath Thu 12-Sep-13 18:28:39

Very spooky-as I was obsessing typing all that my DS started talking about the Oresund bridge (the one from Denmark to Sweden)

ClayDavis Thu 12-Sep-13 18:30:29

Love Holby and Casualty as well.

Is it worth watching today's? Watched the first 2 parts not sure I can be bothered to watch the third.

curlyclaz13 Thu 12-Sep-13 18:57:16

Missed today's as I was out and it wasn't on catch up before pointless grin might watch tomorrow as I have two deliveries due.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 12-Sep-13 19:09:26

clay I am a great fan of Doctors as you know but even I couldn't sit through more than 10 mins today.

told I saw that on the news. Proper scary. I don't like tunnels, or bridges. They freak me out slightly as they go over or through stuff. You wouldn't get me in the Channel Tunnel for love nor money.

In a train.
In a tunnel.
UNDER THE SEA!

I'd be clawing at the doors 2 minutes into the journey grin

ClayDavis Thu 12-Sep-13 19:41:10

That's what I was thinking MrsN. I was losing interest after about 10 mins of yesterday's. I'm looking at today's on iplayer and thinking I just can't be bothered with a third part of this story.

toldmywrath Thu 12-Sep-13 20:17:43

MsNo I've been through the channel tunnel-wouldn't like to do it again, as I'm slightly claustrophobic. I didn't enjoy this three parter at all-too dark & made for uncomfortable viewing. I much prefer WTFness.
I love Holby, but haven't watched Casualty for years.

AlphaBetaOoda Thu 12-Sep-13 21:08:41

Found a Holby thread and trying to motivate it, started a WTF Waterloo Road one.

leezl Thu 12-Sep-13 21:49:11

Toldmywrath I'VE BEEN OVER THAT BRIDGE!!!

leezl Thu 12-Sep-13 21:49:38

Oops got overexcited - the Braemar one I meant grin

Watched today's live but was putting shopping away and cake baking for ds2's 3rd shock birthday so really couldn't mn too!

Was a bit violent for my liking! Tbfe is such a man, beaten until unconscious but soon up and rushing to the hospital to save the day with a slightly purple corner of his mouth!

Hmmmm so more doubts over Zara's parenting tomorrow confused and loving hestons comment to Al 'all water under the bridge'!

I have an irrational fear of bridges sad

And I love casualty but dh doesn't so rarely watch it and can't stand holby or Waterloo road but they are more of my mums regular viewing!

leezl Fri 13-Sep-13 08:56:05

Alas I'm working today and tomorrow so will have to have a double bill on Monday!

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 11:11:02

Oh dear- I have just read the board reader stats thst confirm my suspicions I need to get a lifegrin but not yet

Tried to go to see Ds in his school assembly, but dd2 had other ideas, and just as his class started their bit (we'd been there half an hour by then), started yellingto go home. I was mortified and left. blush. Then she spent 10 minutes screaming she wanted to see ds.

I'm tired.

I'm hoping to watch today live. It's not looking good so far...

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 11:25:34

grin Raahh (at the stats, not the morning you've had).

I am probably going to watch live. I've already been out, now I have to wait in for another delivery. I'm getting organised v early for the boys birthday so it's been one parcel after another.

I think the postie thinks I fancy him blush. He seems almost afraid of me opening the door. I know I'm no oil painting but I'm not exactly a gargoyle either grin. He's too old for me anyway.

<tut>

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 11:37:50

pmsl @ your postman Anne. He might be shy.grin

We used to have a lovely postman. Now we have one that regularly (no exaggeration) posts letter through the wrong doorhmm.

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 11:43:03

Sorry- meant MsNo- I'm reallyhaving a bad day!

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 11:46:08

I have a different postman every week. Maybe I scare them off.

I'm at home today and nothing is going to stop me watching Doctors <hopefully>.

I have had the same postman for about 10 years, he's lovely smile.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 12:21:56

I'll be here too, Who.

Our road is apparently a training route for postmen. Therefore we often get a lot of misdirected post.

leezl Fri 13-Sep-13 12:41:49

Wishing I was watching Bargain Hunt hmm

toldmywrath Fri 13-Sep-13 12:57:54

Leezl I can't believe that hump back bridge & the fact that I drove over it-was very scary .
anne do behave I have a different postman every week that should be on a different thread shock

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:27:48

shock Told

You have a filthy mind.

leezl Fri 13-Sep-13 13:44:09

Told, there was a caravan in front of us so we had to wait for them to get over - didn't think they'd make it!! Then my "D"H sped up so we flew over it in our wee Clio! I thought I was going to die ... shock

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:45:22

Ready for action (as I said to the postman)

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 13:46:42

Here we go...the Zaniel story.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:46:48

grin Hoggy

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 13:47:01

grin Hoggy

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 13:47:18

fnarr Hoggy grin

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:47:30

How has Zara kept her dressing gown pure white? Where are the smears of mashed bananas?

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 13:48:16

I want to have a good go at Kevin with the hair scissors

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 13:49:04

Checking in for duty and as if on cue small person seems to be waking up.

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 13:49:08

Mrs T! we need more Mrs T.

Al looks quite smart. I don't blame him for being a bit sniffy. Heston needs a decent storyline too.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:50:07

Ok, I missed the first minute - why is the woman talking about going to prison?

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 13:50:32

Ha ha, we've all done it! I remember taking DD to A&E after she swallowed a £1 coin. blush

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:50:42

Isn't this storyline going to put people off taking their kids to the doctor / hospital?

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:50:56

Don't know yet Anne

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 13:51:23

Not sure yet Anne. The Sky thing says she was in a car accident. Maybe it was her fault??

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:51:26

I bet you just wanted the £1 back, didn't you, MsN? grin

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 13:53:06

I did! Never found it though hmm

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:54:19

Ew. Digested coins.

How did Zara get seen so quickly at A&E?

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:56:27

We train warriors not wimps. Come on TBFE!

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 13:56:48

Dunno Who, but if she's anything like me she'll be back in a few years because her PRECIOUS DARLING needs rolled up tiny bits of paper removing from their ear canal.

<still annoyed about that one>

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:57:40

I did home surgery to remove a Hama bead up a nostril.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:57:51

TBFE looks good today.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 13:58:15

I realise I post that last comment every day.

Kevin the Stealth Bomber - don't think so somehow

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 13:58:47

There could be a shower scene coming on Anne.

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 13:58:52

Whats with the couple ?

Alana has got horrible lipstick and nail varnish <shallow>

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 14:00:08

ooh pearlescent !

Here I am -5 days late for the thread. What's going on with the lady in the wheelchair?

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 14:00:41

Has she stolen charity funds?

I hear ya about the Hama beads Hoggy

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 14:00:55

TBFE doesn't want to peak too soon <snigger>

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 14:00:59

No your not in the Army you're in LETHERBRIDGE ! I thought we had established that earlier in the week.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 14:01:52

ELVIS! grin

No idea Sparkling

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 14:02:28

Elvis!

Ooh! I do hope there is a shower scene, Hoggy. Would love to see him all lathered up.

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 14:02:47

The lady in the wheelchair story is a mystery Sparkling

Oh right thanks. I thought the viewers had known all along or something. grin

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 14:03:54

lol @ Elvis.

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 14:04:20

Stand to atten-shun curly

Home visit!

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 14:04:50

Best days behind him ? I bet Anne disagrees !

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 14:05:31

He is just jealous of TBFE's manliness.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 14:06:00

Daniel can hardly take the moral high ground shock

Zara really doesn't help herself does she?

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 14:08:19

Oh dear, is this going to be one of those stories about parents accused of abuse and their child has an illness sad

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 13-Sep-13 14:08:54

Wheelchair woman looks old enough to be her husband's mum.

Lipstick's changed

I keep thinking she is going to get out of the wheelchair.

Rubbish ending.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 14:12:02

That episode seemed to end early. confused

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 14:13:21

I lost track for a bit there due to BOD. So the wheelchair woman and her son/husband crashed the car on purpose killing someone and disabling her ?
sparkling I thought the same, it is Doctors so a miracle is not unusual !

Oh, has it finished? I only popped into the kitchen for a second. I must try harder.

HoggyTruffle Fri 13-Sep-13 14:14:35

Next week should be grim.

Oh actually yes, I may have another month off Hoggy.

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 15:04:01

I amangry .

5 minutes in, tv and Internet went off. Finally got through to virgin, to be told it will be 4-6 HOURS before it will be fixed. Now sat in the car waiting to pick up the dcs- it's raining, and dd2 has gone to sleep.

Friday13th- you suck
grin

leezl Fri 13-Sep-13 15:57:34

Had a bit of sick in my mouth just there thinking of TBFE in the shower. Sorry.

Oh no Raahh.

That was crap at the end wasn't it, no proper explanation at all. Am not particularly looking forward to seeing the Joe story unfold, Zara needs to get a grip and start cooperating.

toldmywrath Fri 13-Sep-13 16:16:19

MsNo did A&E ask you to wait a few days & see if there was any change? (old ones are the best)
What's BOD stand for Curly ?

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 16:21:46

told good one.

<boom tish>

She's here all week ladies and gentlemen.

Raahh You've not had a good day at all. Have a brew

MsNobodyAgain Fri 13-Sep-13 16:23:59

I forgot my grin told. My reply looks a bit sarky otherwise.

Raahh Fri 13-Sep-13 16:24:05

thanks MsNo- I know in the scheme of things,my problems are small- but boy are they pissing me offgrin

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 16:28:36

BOD = Bum Of Doom smile

curlyclaz13 Fri 13-Sep-13 16:29:43

oh and it's not my bum, BOD belongs to small boy.

toldmywrath Fri 13-Sep-13 16:37:03

Raahh at least Andy one the first rubber of the tennis(against a 16yr old I know) Or does that add to your tally of Friday 13th woes?
cake & tennis for you.
