I'll start with UK Border Force and the Australian Customs version. I just cannot get enough of people trying to smuggle dodgy beef in their suitcases into Melbourne for no apparent reason, or illegal waiters denying all knowledge of their birthdays.

And on days off I can't miss Homes Under The Hammer, mainly for the inspired way they manage to find music to match anything that anyone says. Someone will paint a wall purple, and they'll play Purple Rain - it's genius.

Has anyone sunk lower?

Storage Wars
Extreme Couponning

Ooh and that thing with Honey Boo Boo in. confused

Hassled Sun 16-Jun-13 21:37:21

I couldn't cope with Honey Boo Boo. Excruciating - my embarrassment threshold is too low.
Storage Wars sounds like a riot - will track it down.

TOWIE
Honey Boo Boo
Teen Mom/16 and pregnant
Big Brother
Any other reality shite
Crap films on the True movie channels
Matthew Wright.
Home and Away and Neighbours.
Not sure I watch anything that isn't shite really grin

Hassled Sun 16-Jun-13 21:46:30

DD makes me watch 16 Kids and Counting (I think they may have had more kids now) which is INSANE. They're all really sweet and nice (apart from the slightly creepy father), but bloody hell, there are a lot of them.

I quite enjoyed the series of the Duggars and their mahoosive family.

Storage Wars is brilliant.

Ooh I quite like Cash Cab and Perfection for a crap quiz show.

DD will not entertain Honey Boo Boo, she thinks it's horrid, also she does not approve of Geordie Shore which I watch.
She's gone off TOWIE.
She does put up with my cooking shows though, my current favourite is Simon Hopkinson's latest.

She likes Supernatural, Grimm, silly horror films and Russel Howard.

weebleknievel Sun 16-Jun-13 22:30:00

Have jusy set up the sky planne for Extreme Couponning - thanks for the tip!

Another vote for Storage Wars DH watches it and I've got sucked into watching it and it's strangely addictive.

As for pants quiz shows I love Tipping Point (comes from my addiction to 2p machines at the seaside!) Would love to go on it!

You will love EC weeble. I watch like this -shock

cocolepew Sun 16-Jun-13 22:35:38

Catfish, tracking down internet romances, car crash telly at its best.

YY to Catfish.
Great show, and also the guy may be a wee bit hotgrin

GibberTheMonkey Sun 16-Jun-13 22:42:33

Duck dynasty = hilarious
Moonshiners = howdiddlydoodlydee

cocolepew Sun 16-Jun-13 22:43:08

I never noticed netto lies

cocolepew Sun 16-Jun-13 22:44:14

What is Duck Dynasty? I saw an advert but it didn't tell me much hmm

Blessyou Sun 16-Jun-13 22:44:27

Inbetweeners, my guilty secret.

yegodsandlittlefishes Sun 16-Jun-13 22:47:56

Lonesome Dove, with sub titles that are running about 10 minutes late.

GibberTheMonkey Sun 16-Jun-13 22:49:37

Cocolepew
I have no idea what to say
I just asked dh and he said its indescribable

Large extended family, dad started a business selling duck calls. Youngest son turned it multimillions. Bunch of oddballs doing stupid stuff, all with huge beards.

NatashaBee Sun 16-Jun-13 22:50:47

I live for Keeping up with the Kardashians - it's the only thing I record!

weebleknievel Sun 16-Jun-13 22:57:43

<makes mental note to look for Catfish>

OP agree with you on the Homes Under The Hammer music thing. Another addictive programma! Sometimes I find myself disappointed at the end results though

weebleknievel Sun 16-Jun-13 22:58:15

*programme
Damn my sausage fingers!

weebleknievel Sun 16-Jun-13 23:00:19

sparklingbrook EC is recording at 8:30am so I shall watch whilst giving DS his mid-morning feed. It'd better be good I have high expectations now!

SexAndDrugsAndSausageRolls Sun 16-Jun-13 23:01:15

Storage wars here too...but the original Californian version. Can't be doing with that Texan lot at all.

My mum keeps trying to get me to watch Extreme Couponing but I am resisting. I have enough crap telly on my life as it is.

Triumphoveradversity Sun 16-Jun-13 23:01:27

I feel I can beat all that I love watching My Super Sweet 16

Futterby Sun 16-Jun-13 23:02:35

I recite the adverts. Before the actors say their lines blush

Futterby Sun 16-Jun-13 23:03:17

I know it's not what you were asking but I thought I would share grin

Depending on my level of Hungover-Ness i need a good few hours.of the Kardashians, teen Mom, the barefoot contessa and my absolute love.of all loves - Judge Judy (i have a lot of heated arguments with my bff re:JJ -he thinks its all pants but i love her!)

I love it when you have to watch it from behind your booze smelling duvet howling and shrieking trying not to hurl

Also - The Mindy Project; its total shit but its so addictive! The same with New Girl, Happy Endings and How I Met Your Mother - these programmes help me to recover

Yy to Catfish - so bizarre "so you've been taking to this guy for 5 years but you've never skyped? And he's single and a model? And he's loaded? Seems legit"
"Ooooooooooh man, its a 19 year old fat girl that you bullied in school"

PicturesofParadise Sun 16-Jun-13 23:08:37

19 kids and counting
Women who Kill
Emergency in the ER
Dog the bounty hunter
The one at Australian customs

Lovecat Sun 16-Jun-13 23:24:15

Come Dine With Me

May The Best House Win

The Millionaire Matchmaker - I watch it like shock the whole show

Phil Spencer - Secret Agent
(it really is a pile of shite; Phil turns up, looks at a house that hasn't sold, makes some crappy puns, they declutter & paint it magnolia, he sucks his teeth because they won't lower the price, then follows potential buyers around the house on open day like a mad stalker, pressurising them to make an offer, and at the end of the prog we are told 'Natalie didn't receive any offers after her amazing makeover but six months later lowered her price by £250k and is now moving'. Every. Fucking. Time.)

I need to see Catfish... smile

Areyoumadorisitme Sun 16-Jun-13 23:31:36

I second Millionaire matchmaker! It is fab, shock and cringeworthy, real value slob tv.

ChallyCreaks Mon 17-Jun-13 07:41:48

Man V Food
Housewives of <insert rich part of America>
The series about easyjet
Motorway patrol
Storage Hunters

I officially watch really crap TV when alone. grin

I quite like a bit of Undercover Boss.

Lovecat Ann Maurice on House Doctor did what Phil does but so much better.

Lovecat Mon 17-Jun-13 08:17:05

Oh, I was a huge Ann Maurice fan back in the day, Sparkling. I miss her smile

SexAndDrugsAndSausageRolls Mon 17-Jun-13 08:49:45

Where can I find this Catfish of which you speak? Purely for sociological and anthropological research you understand [ahem]

Chocotrekkie Mon 17-Jun-13 08:54:48

Amazing wedding cakes - Sunday morning 9 am on one of the food channels..

LadyBeagleEyes Mon 17-Jun-13 10:48:43

Both the Aussie and New Zealand customs ones.
They never catch anybody exciting, only Chines people with packets of noodles.

weeble what did you think of EC?

PiHigh Mon 17-Jun-13 10:58:42

Another Storage Wars fan.

Also I only watched it the other day as visitors wanted it on but I quite enjoyed Dog The Bounty Hunter blush

Deffodil Mon 17-Jun-13 11:18:51

I watch these:

Million Dollar Listing,Million Dollar Decorators and loads of others, inc. Catfish,on Here

Futterby Mon 17-Jun-13 11:42:32

Jeremy Kyle. All the way.

ARealDame Mon 17-Jun-13 14:03:22

Millionaire Matchmaker - all the way!

I like stuff like 24 hours mystery, 24 hours to kill, I Survived - but I've seen them all now, so only watch Millionaire Matchmaker 1 hour a day, like Lovecat says, all the way through shock.

Occasionally I will watch an Eastenders Omnibus, if I'm feeling bored/relaxed at the weekend.

JazzDalek Mon 17-Jun-13 16:46:17

Monsters Inside Me shock

I think it's on DMAX. I stumble upon it fairly often whilst flicking through channels trying to put off going to bed.

It's about horrifying parasites and unfortunate people's experiences thereof.

SaskiaRembrandtVampireHunter Mon 17-Jun-13 17:03:23

I love Supernatural, and don't think it's rubbish/bizarre, but DH does. Saying that, I suspect he's talking about the plot etc. whereas I'm watching for Dean and Castiel <<has a moment>>

I have been known to watch Sally Morgan On the Road. blush

I love crap telly. I think I love it more than proper-great rating-award winning- telly.

I have spent the last 2 days watching the first 3 season of Bondi Rescue.

Also on my list

Bondi Vet
Road Wars
Nothing to Declare
Border Force
Traffic Cops
Emergency Bikers
Bait Car
Cheaters blush
World's Worst Tenants

CBS Reality, Really and Pick TV are my favourite channels!!

I don't watch any mainstream telly, no soaps (except Doctors but even having a break from that) no bonnet Sunday night dramas etc. No Murder mysteries.

Just half an hour here and there of appallingly addictive TV in the evening.

ARealDame Mon 17-Jun-13 17:41:56

Sally Morgan on the Road, only for a few seconds, hahaha!

I admit, Bait Cars caught my attention for a few episodes grin.

I'm a bit Don't-Watch-Mainstream-Telly, I'm a bit CBS Reality too.

ARealDame Mon 17-Jun-13 17:43:58

And I also don't get the Sunday bonnet drama either ... maybe I like a bit more action like, well, Bait Cars grin.

Sunday night bonnet dramas are really yawnsome and depressing IMO.

My sky plus is all History stuff.
And eleventy million episodes of shows featuring the Kardashians.
It's my biggest guilty secret confused

Oh Bait Cars!

<brain clicks> I watch that with DH but didn't know what it was called. DH likes Repo-man is it? Repo something anyway. Once they were repossesing aeroplanes. confused

In the early newborn days I watched loads of pregnancy/labour ones including:

Midwives - filmed in my hometown and featuring my midwife and health visitor

I didn't know I was pregnant - featuring really shit reenactments of women "unexpectedly" going into labour

Secretly pregnant - loads of adult women too scared to tell their parents they were pregnant til about 8 months

I've now started watching fashion police and loads of other shite on E!

DP watches storage wars, I make him watch it without me now as the incredibly thick couple really irritate me.

Hassled Mon 17-Jun-13 18:45:10

So much crap telly, so little time.

I need to rediscover something I saw recently about Amish youth abandoning their faith and going wild in the city - that was quality crap.

Ooh i did see 'Pregnant and didn't know it' or something. Complete with reconstructions. grin

Duck dystanty is about a family of rednecks that are rich the dad (phil) made duck calls pantented it. Their are 3 bros phils sons all married the middle brother is ceo of the company you have phils wife miss may and phils brother si or uncle si who is a vitenam vet.

cocolepew Mon 17-Jun-13 19:05:30

Duck Dynasties sounds epic!
Catfish is on MTV, the one with Jersey Shore on. Not that I have ever watched Jersey shore off course blush

cocolepew Mon 17-Jun-13 19:06:47

Cake Boss! Shouty sisters, fat bakers, big cakes what's not to love?

JazzDalek Mon 17-Jun-13 19:13:09

Oh, thought of another one! Billy the Exterminator grin I don't think it's on at the mo though. It is utterly brilliant. Catch it if you can!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_the_Exterminator

Duck dystanty is on seris 3 now if you can get to watch all of them you will howl with laughter. They even have a bloke called mountain man as nobody knows his name and they put subtitles on as nobody understands him and yes they all loik like zz top

Also we watch man v food diners drives in and dives i even have trues movies films recorded plus you cant beat a fab syfy made for tv film sharkapus anyone plus i watch jail, how its made, food factory,

GibberTheMonkey Mon 17-Jun-13 19:38:02

Yay other duck dynasty fans

It's hard to get across quite how nuts and hilarious it is

Gibber Tis funny my fav is uncle si

curlew Mon 17-Jun-13 19:46:27

Only me likes Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip?

CardiffUniversityNetballTeam Mon 17-Jun-13 19:51:45

Ah I knew if I looked hard enough on MN I would find at least one other Duck Dynasty fan.
It is my absolute favourite programme at the moment. I love uncle Si, he is a legend, so funny!

I watch this along with:
Storage Wars
Pawn Stars
Swamp People
Hardcore Pawn
Mudcats

<hangs head in total shame>

Don't like any crap in the attic shows curlew. Sorry. sad

Yy to hardcore pawn having re read my posts i must stress we do have a life honest but sometimes we love a veg out and definlty get ours moneys worth from sky

NatashaBee Mon 17-Jun-13 20:05:58

I work just down the road from where the Hardcore Pawn shop is... people from my office pop in there at lunchtime to try and get into the background of the show grin

TheCrackFox Mon 17-Jun-13 20:08:47

Storage Wars (the original - the Texas version is shite)
Pawn Stars
American Restoration
Ax Men
Mountain Men

I'm addicted to America's Next Top Model. I even perservere with the UK version despite Elle McPherson making me want to chew my own face off.

sonlypuppyfat Mon 17-Jun-13 20:16:57

Homes under the Hammer is brill, so is The Barefoot Contessa

ARealDame Mon 17-Jun-13 20:20:02

Yes, Sparkling, how could I forget Repo its fab, a laugh a minute, real no-BS characters out-on-the-road, your DH has got gt taste! p,s, you should try taping Millionaire Matchmaker, its pretty good. Sunday bonnet TV made me laugh. I honestly have no idea what they are talking about. Or why.

ARealDame Mon 17-Jun-13 20:21:09

bonnet Sunday night drama, I mean.

BrennieGirl Mon 17-Jun-13 21:11:20

I looove Hoarders. It makes me feel so normal.

alcibiades Mon 17-Jun-13 21:11:39

I love watching Holmes Inspection. It's a Canadian show where Mike Holmes goes into houses that have mostly had an incompetent home inspection (survey), and finds loads of problems that weren't spotted – usually some obvious scary electrics. There's usually structural issues, so they can do the knocking down and rebuilding of interior walls; and plumbing issues, so they can show us the sewer-cam. Most of the home owners have been ripped off by inspectors or incompetent builders, but Mike Holmes and his crew go in, tear out a whole load of stuff, and make it all better. Occasionally they bleep out what Mike says, but I don't know whether that's for the benefit of UK viewers or Canadians. wink

It's a bit like DIY-SOS, without the silliness, but with a lot more information. I probably know more about Canadian building codes than I do of English ones. grin

Alcibiades It also has much fitter men then DIY-SOS grin.

Hassled Mon 17-Jun-13 21:36:22

I'm enjoying the Greggs programme even though it is utterly pointless and largely seems to consist of lorries getting lost or stuck. And "I'm mad, me" characters. Have you ever seen a blue smartie on a Greggs cupcake? No? That's because the shop staff spend the day eating them, and this programme is the result.

Hassled Mon 17-Jun-13 21:36:58

Oh I like the sound of sewer-cam grin

SinisterBuggyMonth Mon 17-Jun-13 23:46:08

Coach Trip
Storage Wars
Banged Up Abroad
Sixteen and Pregnant (uk version)
Choccy Woccy Doodaa

DP loves Decked Out

SinisterBuggyMonth Mon 17-Jun-13 23:55:18

So disapointed Duck Dynasty isn't about actual ducks. Would have loved to have seen the mallard Joan Collins....

weebleknievel Wed 19-Jun-13 02:17:26

sparklingbrook loved Extreme Couponing! I'm hooked.

Brilliant weeble grin Now last night on TLC there was Extreme Cheapskates which as truly mind boggling.

MinesaBottle Wed 19-Jun-13 13:36:42

I love the border and customs programmes as well. I currently have about 25 of them saved on the TiVo blush. I also can't get enough of those 'Cops with Cameras' type shows but just the UK ones because the crimes they show are so crap compared to the US shows - youths hanging around outside a petrol station in Pembrokeshire as opposed to a high speed car chase in Chicago. And the narration is hilarious. And I will watch anything at all about aviation - yes, I'm the person who watched the whole series of Mighty Planes.

WireCat Wed 19-Jun-13 14:20:12

Extreme Couponing is BRILLIANT! wink

Secret Agent with Phil Spencer is excellent!

I need to watch more shite though.

I used to watch The Valleys. It's a Welsh version of Towie.

GibberTheMonkey Wed 19-Jun-13 21:16:33

Just seen an ad for 'rat bastards' may have to give it a go grin
I have a thing for rednecks programmes

congresstart Fri 28-Jun-13 20:03:28

I agree with most of these....don't think anyones mentioned Lizard Lick Towing yet, that is good for a laugh.

I love Homes under the Hammer, Lucy seems to only own one coat but in many colours and Martin always looks like he's had his head out a car window with his windswept hair :D
The best bit is when the buyers are filmed to cheesy music just walking round touching walls or randomly measuring bits of wall for no apparent reason. grin

I am also in love with Phil Spencer and his 'Secret agent' ways, I love the fact that they pretend its a massive surprise to see him when really he must have got their keys to look around.

anonacfr Sat 29-Jun-13 09:10:04

I'm a Kardashian whore. I actually Sky + all of their shows. I'm not ashamed.

limitedperiodonly Sat 29-Jun-13 11:00:45

I used to record Homes Under The Hammer so I could fast-forward through the repetitive bits. blush

I've weaned myself it now because I started to find it vaguely depressing. I think it's because it's presented as a fantastic money-making scheme where no one ever loses, even people who clearly haven't done their sums.

I don't mind The Chase but my mum is addicted and yells excitedly at the screen over the questions and answers during the chase bit which is a bit annoying. She loves Bradley Walsh and talks about the Chasers like they're friends. Bradley Walsh lives near her and she's really envious of my sister who sees him a lot, whereas she never has.

She tried to get me into Tipping Point the other day. Years ago she kept badgering me to apply compete on Catchphrase confused. I've noticed it's come back and am dreading her starting that up again.

limitedperiodonly Sat 29-Jun-13 11:04:25

I had a mild Don't Get Done, Get Dom habit for a while. It surprised me that lots of people hate Dominic Littlewood. Is there something nasty about him I don't know?

He says 'conshoomers' limited. grin

FiteFuaite Sat 29-Jun-13 11:20:11

I stopped watching Don't Get Done,Get Dom when I started rooting for the fraudsters/tricksters!!

He was so self-righteous and pompous and it made me all contrary angry I used to like him when he was with Kristian Digby on that home show but now he makes me feel all stabby

limitedperiodonly Sat 29-Jun-13 11:23:55

I also can't stop watching drama series that are shit, I have to stay to the end.

I've just finished the second series of Touch, which is just Kiefer Sutherland running about saying Dammit! I'm going to watch all of Mad Dogs even though I neither know nor care what's going on any more.

I watched an Australian thing on TCM called Wild Boys about some 19 century bushwhackers where they were always getting into peril and yet with one bound they were free at the end of each episode.

I'm proud that I gave up on Blue Bloods, a thing with Jason Swartzmann and Ted Danson about a novelist and a billionaire and some weird Portuguese costume drama called Mysteries of Lisbon on Sky Arts.

I watch all the foreign stuff on Sky Arts, completely falling for their line that because it has subtitles it's good, when that's a lie. I watched all of that Spanish thing about the hotel that was terrible and I've just started the second series of Maison Close after vowing not to touch it again.

I did like Corleone and Romanzo Criminale and the thought that other things might be as good suckers me in.

limitedperiodonly Sat 29-Jun-13 11:40:57

Only me likes Bargain Hunt and Antiques Road Trip?

I watch Bargain Hunt too curlew but I can't work out why it's presented as a triumph when a team wins because they've made £7. It's not a viable career option, is it?

I watched an Antiques Road Trip once where a woman presented all this old lady jewellery that she claimed to keep finding in bins and I kept shouting: 'Call the police. She works in a care home, you idiots.'

I'll look at Dominic Littlewood in a new light.

Davros Sat 29-Jun-13 12:49:30

In Homes Under the Hammer they always play Two Tribes during the auction.
Going back a bit, The Invpbetweeners doesn't count as its universally accepted as quality (but rude) TV.
What about Four Weddings, especially USA and Don't Tell The Bride. There's also that one with the New Yoik family based in Vegas who make big elaborate fish tanks for demanding customers, I live that one.
