Doctors Addicts Anonymous Continued - WTF is going on now?

(983 Posts)
MsNobodyAgain Sat 23-Feb-13 17:08:01

For any fans of the weekday soap Doctors (1.45pm, BBC1), the thread title is often what we ask ourselves.

Sometimes it's a WTF episode confused, sometimes it's BAH (boring as hell). Occasionally we have a FTC (failure to care) moment.

But sometimes rarely there is a diamond in the rough that makes us grin

So please join in if you would like to. All welcome. Mrs T is just making a pot of Rrrrrrrrrrrrrred Bush tea.

Fab new thread. grin Thank you MsN.

Thank you MsN. Great intro!

Raahh Sat 23-Feb-13 18:58:06

Wooo- new thread!

yes, I've caught up with the spoilers. And a couple of hours later, I've forgotten them grin

looking forward to the murder mystery episode, though.

yay !

can someone just give me a list of the acronyms ?

MsNobodyAgain Sat 23-Feb-13 19:15:20

MaryAnn, I will try to keep the list of acronyms factual coz I got into trouble once for making jokes grin

6tl - Emma, the dark haired doctor that is married to Sam. Called 6tl because she'd been in Doctors 5 times before so this is 6th time lucky.

Rect-Al - New doctor Al. Called so because early on he had a run of having to examine patients back passages.

TBFE - Howard. The Bloke From Emmerdale. Self -explanatory.

Gobby - Receptionist Karen. Because she is loud but loveable.

GobbyPlod - Rob, Karen's husband. Or sometimes called 'the only Plod in the village'.

Jizz - new trainee Jas, as she had a saucy chatline job.

Mrs T - Mrs Tembe

I think that is pretty much all we use right now. Hope this helps. smile

MsNobodyAgain Sat 23-Feb-13 19:21:19

Oh, I forgot (hardly surprising):

FOD - Mandy the nurse. So called as she has a large forehead of DOOM! And needs to grow a fringe.

FOD can also double up as 'F**k Off Dear' because we wish she would.

Horsemad Sat 23-Feb-13 19:29:29

Yeaaay new thread! Thanks MsNo

MsNobodyAgain Sat 23-Feb-13 19:30:32

Sparkling I like that!

Cheers all for the thanks and letting me start the thread again smile

toldmywrath Sat 23-Feb-13 20:13:48

Just dropping in to report my dream-it involved Mrs T but she was very casually dressed-in a denim pinafore dress with a t shirt. She was working at the new doctors surgery I was attending & recognised me (!) This was her moonlighting type job (i.e. they do not know about it in Letherbridge land)
I only remembered it when MsNo said about redbush tea upthread. Also Mrs T did not roll her Rs in my dream.
That is all (is it a better dream than Prof Cox & the curtains I wonder?) grin

thanks v much !

MsNobodyAgain Sat 23-Feb-13 21:27:51

Mrs T in denim shock. It would neverrrrrrrrrrrr happen. grin

How funny that you dreamt about Doctors. As bad as my addiction is, I've never dreamt about anyone. Well, maybe Kevin, but I'm not disclosing the details.

My favourite pic of Mrs T Here smile

Horsemad Sat 23-Feb-13 22:30:46

Flippin' 'eck - is that really her? Scrubs up well grin

I would love her to have a makeover in the programme and appear like that Horse. Heston would be shock

She looks about 20 years younger in that pic. Don't think I've ever dreamed about Doctors, but I have only been watching regularly for a few months.

readyforno2 Sat 23-Feb-13 22:50:28

Wow. She looks amazing.
Heston wouldn't be able to control himself if she sauntered into the mill looking like that!

Won't be able to watch today. Got an appointment with Kwik Fit to look at my screechy fanbelt. sad

Oodsigma Mon 25-Feb-13 13:02:05

Marking my place. Hospital this afternoon but can catch up tonight. Hospital tomorrow too and hair cut on Wednesday so might be a lot of catching up this week.

Fanbelt tightened. grin Just watching.

Oh bloody hell Gobbyplods pretend wife is back. Can't remember her abbreviation.

Ooh a drug dealing hoarder.

Or a rapist? Oh I don't know.

Jimmi's OCD. sad

Not a rapist or a drug dealer then. Lost again.

Daniel is worried Sam going to Switzerland will be bad publicity for the practice. shock

MsNobodyAgain Mon 25-Feb-13 16:04:57

Just watching. She's asking OCD Jimmi to go into a hoarders house? That'll end well (not)

MsNobodyAgain Mon 25-Feb-13 16:11:36

Karen "I was listening at the door" grin

MsNobodyAgain Mon 25-Feb-13 16:30:49

I want to stab Chris in the eye with a fork.

MsNobodyAgain Mon 25-Feb-13 16:35:33

Looks like Wendy Craig tomorrow unless I'm mistaken. My mind may be fogged by the amount of money I have spent on DD today. shock

Claires accessories knows how to rob a parent. And don't get me started on Build A Bloody Bear.

I'm just watching too. I really don't think Sam would meet the criteria for assisted death.

CID woman (what was her nickname?) is very annoying again.

Raahh Mon 25-Feb-13 22:32:51

Catching up- bored bored BORED of the 6tl's

I can't remember what we called Gobbyplod's boss eitherblush

I love Gobby, and think it is sad we less of her these days. 'turn it off and on again'<arf>

And yup, sending OCD Jimmi into a hoarder's house is not a great move!

Raahh Mon 25-Feb-13 22:53:18

CWPP- creepy woman police person! That was her nick name.

She's preferable to the 6tl's, at any rate!

Raahh Mon 25-Feb-13 22:53:57

(she looks oldsad)
because i am old

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:47:00

right- I'm going to attempt to watch live...just need to distract dd2 whilstIturn overgrin

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 13:47:23

'Strumpet'. Top word. grin

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 13:48:26

6tl looks as tired as a Doctors viewer...

Captain Condoms. grin Hi all.

Ooh blondie was in Brookside I think.

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:49:47

ooh, condoms. Awkward (though her son looks about 50).

Girl friend was in brookside- part of the incest storyline iirc.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 13:50:12

Hi Raahh and Sparkling

Goodness me, Al's got it bad.

And so far we've had condoms and 'screamers' shock

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:51:36

oh, the neighbour has a past

'putting up shelves' euphemism?

Is this a proper appointment? Or can you just drop in?

TheChimpParadox Tue 26-Feb-13 13:51:50

Wendy Craig - ah nice .

Eh? Invite the doctor for lunch/home visit. confused

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 13:53:40

This episode is making me laugh grin

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:53:51

looks like horny bloke and Heston are surgeon buddies.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 13:53:57

He wasn't invited, he was commanded! Bossy boots Wendy.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 13:54:11

She was Georgia in the Brookie incest storyline.

Oooh right. Not concentrating today. grin

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:55:38

Do they ever wash Sam's v shaped pillow?

Please forgive me, I know this is awful but it is a soap and not real. BUT can Sam not kill himself on his own? <sorry>

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:57:14

Wendy has morphed into a battle -axegrin

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 13:57:25

Was that woman called Georgia in Brookie?? Having doubts now!

I think so Horse.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 13:59:13

He's only got one working arm Sparkling so unless his pills are left in reach in blister packs, I reckon he's knackered.

Other methods are a bit out of the question too.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 13:59:29

Imagine WC as a MIL!!!

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 13:59:33

Think so, Horse- can't remember what her brother was called.

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:00:46

I thought they drank a lethal cocktail thingy (no expert)- the article i read last week about a rl life case, suggested that. He can manage a cup with one arm?

Oh right MsN, I feel awful saying it really, but he seems far too 'ok' to go to Switzerland doesn't he? sad

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:02:01

oh, i see- you mean doing the dead without moving from his v shaped pillow.

Easter weekend very innapropriate- he may rise again....

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:02:24

Raah he was called Nat.

Have a wake before you die? I am not liking this storyline.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 14:02:51

Yes Raahh. I was talking about him doing himself in at home.

And yes, he's far too 'ok' to go to Switzerland. Daft storyline.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:02:59

Xpost Sparkling

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:03:41

Sparkling- he is too 'ok' think that is 6tl's argument, as he isn't actually terminal, just immobile and miserable, understandably

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 14:03:52

This actress reminds me of Abi Titmuss

How does Heston squeeze all these patients in at a moments notice?

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:04:35

She does a bit MsNo

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:05:54

'date of doom'

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 14:06:39

Zara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grin

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:07:20

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:08:47

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:09:28

I was just thinking how awful the green wasgrin

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:09:42

Hurrah for Zara!!

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 14:11:18

It's called repatriation Sam. I used to work in funerals.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:12:49

I lurve Daniel. Mmmmmm!

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 14:13:05

Yay! Things should get lively now Zara is back.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:13:44

Did you MsNo? Bet you"ve got some tales...

Hurrah! And no FOD at the moment. Things are looking up. Except for Sam.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:14:42

Poor Sam sad

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 14:15:43

Yep Horsemad. Mostly good, some bad. And don't get me started on the smells...

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 14:17:31

poor Sam indeed- very drastic way to get away from his wife.

Holby did a dignitas stpryline years ago- with Elliot's wife (he's my favourite character). It was very well done. But then the acting was of a far higher standard toogrin

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 14:20:23

Yuck Ms sad

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 19:07:28

I'm crossgrin- so I'm going to have a wee vent here since I've already chewed off dh's ear ).

Dd1 is doing dinosaurs as her class topic. So, at the weekend, spur of the moment thing, dh suggested we go to Manchester museum. They have an exhibit- not massive (usually shut whenever we've been before.) The museum is FREE. Funnily enough, whilst there we bumped into one of her classmates , which was nice. They spent ages pointing at the picture of the caveman that showed his willy<they are 6>grin

So, today, she comes out with a letter for a school trip- you know where this is going? That's ok, she loves the museum, lots to see apart from the dino. (His name is Stan, btw). At a cost of £9.00 per child. This does not include lunch, we provide a packed one, so can only be transport. We don't live in the back of beyond- we live 10 miles outside the city centre, near the airport. And 2 train stations. And buses every 15 minutes. Now, MM is a bit of a walk from the station- but even so-£9 each just for transport (there are 25 children going, and about 6 adults). AIBU to think this is extortionate (just kiddinggrin)

Ds's trip to York was only £10!

<end rant>

YANBU. Request a breakdown of the £9. sad

DS1 is going to Boulogne for the day with the school. £62, bargain. grin

I was thinking yesterday that surely Dignitas wouldn't take Sam, I don't know what the criteria are, but surely your quality of life has to be significantly worse than his? even with his evil wife

Raahh - that is annoying. Do the museum charge the school for having their own guide or something?

I'm not sure Who. There was a young rugby player that went, but he was paralysed from the neck down and vv upset at his situation.

But Sam doesn't seem to behave like someone who is desperate to end his life. IYKWIM. confused Not that I know about any of this. sad

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 19:19:27

Prob massive insurance has pushed the cost up Raah

I know from PTA funded trips that the transport costs a ridiculous amount of money. sad

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 19:24:12

I watched a prog on this a few years ago and the chap had an illness that woild eventually kill him, but looked reasonably well when he actually did it.

Was a strange feeling, watching someone drink a liquid that would kill him...
I have no problem with people choosing this route, but it felt wrong that he was doing it in a corrugated building on an industrial estate and not in his own home surrounded with all his stuff. sad

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 19:44:21

Sparkling,Horse -usually trips are quite well subsidised- and the breakfast club donate a lot. I'm sure there will be a donation made to the museum- no prob with that. But when they went to the science museum, they went by train/bus (tied in with their transport topic). It cost £2.50. Dh is a governor- he's not too chuffed either. I will ask the HT tomorrow (I think I scare him, I'm not sure why, I'm a curly haired midgetgrin). I'm in a particularly bad mood todaygrin

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 19:53:12

9 quid seems a bit steep! <arf> at 'curly haired midget' though. grin

Now, my turn for a rant. Everyone keeps telling me my hair is shite, poor condition. I;ve spent the last 18 months growing it (bob style). Should I just cut the bloody lot off again?

I think my ovary has packed in. I'm not going on HRT thankyouverymuch, soooooooooooooooo...Doctors jury, you decide grin

Good trim, then condition, condition, condition MsN - the hair not the ovary. I have grown mine a lot too and keep thinking about having the chop but my haidresser keeps talking me out of it.

As for HRT, I'd only do that as a last resort? I'm getting fed up because since I turned 45 last year I can't set foot in mt GP's surgery without being asked about the menopause. For example Me "I've hurt my arm". GP "Any symptoms of menopause yet?" Me 'Er, don't know How the frig would I know, I've got a coil and haven't had a period for years which you would know if you looked at my records'

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 20:08:05

'the hair, not the ovary' grin

I think you talk sense Who. My hair is thinning badly though (oh, the joys of a hysterectomy in my 30's).

I think I may buy shares in conditioners though. I've been through every brand!

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 20:16:54

Try a sulphate free shampoo & cond - these are supposed to be better I think. Although, it could also be hormonal too sad

I hate getting older... angry

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 20:18:35

Raahh def query the price - see the fear in the HT's eyes!! grin

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 20:25:51

I don't think I've looked for sulphate free horsemad. Ta. My hair appointment isn't until next Tuesday so I have time to play with.

Definitely hormones though. I've dropped a lot of weight and have dry skin. sad

I was envy at Zara's hair today.

Horsemad Tue 26-Feb-13 20:36:45

Yep, my skin has become drier the past few years.

Zara's hair looked lovely, but she prob has a stylist on the set to get it 'just right'.

MsN - I have posted lots about sulfate free shampoos and stuff this week - if you look in S&B there is a thread about SLS free shampoos, have a look at that. I developed alopecia about 4 years ago and lost about a third of mine in big patches, which was a nightmare, it all came back, but I have taken extremely good care of it ever since, sulfate and silicone free, plus colouring only with Lush henna and it is in the best condition ever.

Raahh Tue 26-Feb-13 21:10:17

I keep thinking I should try the curly girl method thingy. My hair used to be lovely-bouncy curls, really thick. Then, I had children. Now people tell me how lovely dd2's is, and looks at me as if to wonder where she got it fromgrin.Oddly, dd1's hair is poker straight, but really thick. Ds has a double crown which drives me nuts. He had curly hair as a baby, though.

mega de-railment of Doctors thread, since the dignitas storyline is just sad

MsNobodyAgain Tue 26-Feb-13 21:14:52

Thanks who. I will look at S&B in the morning. Virgin territory for me!

Both mine have the double crown Raahh, it's very annoying. DD had very random waves and curls that never really grew till she was about 5, she looked a total mess but cute. We had it cut into a short bob to get rid of the fluffiness and it has been poker straight ever since. DS just has really thick thatched hair, like his dad. Mine is wavy, not curly.

Here's a link to that thread, it's still on my TIO, but S&B moves so fast they disappear very easily. shampoo

Apologies to anyone who hasn't got hair or hormone issues

Oodsigma Wed 27-Feb-13 05:43:07

Catching up. Yay for Zara!

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 13:26:36

I'm back from holiday and can't believe I've missed Zara's return! shock

Will have to have a mammoth catch-up session with Sky+ and the fast-forward button!

Will miss today's too, as annoyingly I have to take DD for a swimming lesson.

Welcome to all the new joiners!

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 13:46:35

Welcome back Anne smile

It looks like we're in for a Mrs T and Zara episode. Goody!

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:48:50

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 13:52:08

I'm not sure Raahh

That woman from the church committee is rather unlikable.

Mrs T is looking splendid in green.

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 13:52:21

Zara looks v slim post babyenvy

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 13:53:47

Mrs T's cardi looks a lot like a matinee jacket my granny knitted when ds was born (same yellow)

Daniel has an odd hairline- the beard managed to detract from that. Bring back the beard!

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:54:23

A loose Canon grin grin

Oodsigma Wed 27-Feb-13 13:54:35

Love Zara. Obviously same view of 6tl as us

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 13:54:47

Barbra is trying to bribe the other woman. That's not very Christian...

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:55:28

That church woman is vile sad

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:56:23

Go Mrs Tembe!!

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 13:56:37

it's a minefield, being on the church committee.

Do we think Mrs T and the Rev will get together.

Zara-don't allude to Freya ffs.
'no relation to Emma'- love you Zara!

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 13:56:50

I had 'All Things Bright and Beautiful' sung at my wedding. Twas beautiful.

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:57:16

Grow a backbone Doreen angry

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:57:56

Me too MsNo

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 13:58:32

My mother's name is Doreen...and my gran's. I missed out on that pleasure.grin

Exactly- Zara- 6TL is a LOCUM

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 13:58:37

Go Zara!!!!!! Get rid of 6tl.

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 13:59:10

I was nearly saddled with 'Marion'

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 13:59:57

My dad had loads of names but mum wouldn't allow them!

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:00:15

Stalker Val- I'd forgotten her. She was monstrous.

Zara, you are my hero. grin

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 14:00:27

I mean loads of names for me!!

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 14:00:43

'Intercom-gate' grin

'Princess Pinky'

Ohhhhh, she's on a roll.

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:02:13

barry! They are all back now.

Slainte Wed 27-Feb-13 14:02:25

Zara's like a caricature of herself!

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:03:32

They are a really nasty bunch, the church committee!

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 14:03:36

I think yesterday's and today's episodes have been quite enjoyable.

zukiecat Wed 27-Feb-13 14:03:46

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:04:31

'Hatched, matched, dispatched' - had a teacher who was always going on about that.

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 14:05:12

Doreen makes a good point.

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:08:12

I'm not keen on churches with removable seating- I likes a pew. easier to stash sweet wrappers etc

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 14:10:04

I think the Rev's got the hots for MrsT.

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 14:11:03

Yep Horsemad I think he may be rubbing his thighs Vic Reeves stylee. shock

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:11:35

Does this mean they will get rid of 6tl? please

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 14:12:10

Al is going to make a tosser of himself with Jizz (see what I did there?) wink

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:12:36

Poor Rect-al. It's not going to happen with him and Jizz, is it?

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 14:12:43

Fingers tightly crossed Raahh

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:12:49

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:13:34

x-posts a go-gogrin

oh i have to find something to do now, to avoid OFAH hell.

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 14:13:35

grin @ Vic Reeves

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:14:42

Would Mrs T and the Rev be TREV?

What's his name anyway? Is it Graham? he looks like a Graham.

Horsemad Wed 27-Feb-13 14:14:54

I'm halfway through cleaning the bathroom - better get back to it I suppose sad

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 14:15:32

I have to wake dd2 up- the excitement was too much, and she fell asleep. She snores louder than dhshock

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 20:53:03

Oh God, this is dire. Trying to quickly catch up. Watched the Mandy / Old Woman episode and it was dire. Started to watch the Valentine's episode and just decided to delete it about 2 minutes in.

Does it get any better?

I just keep telling myself that when I catch up Zara will be in it.

Can't believe baby Joe is one already! Where has Daniel's beard gone?? I miss it. He looks dull without it.

Raahh Wed 27-Feb-13 20:54:13

Does it get any better?

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 21:06:50

I had a feeling you would say that, Raahh.

Currently fast-forwarding, just watching Mrs T catching a mouse then fast forwarding again.

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 21:09:15

Oh bloody hell, transsexuals again.

gaelicsheep Wed 27-Feb-13 21:09:33

Can I just say I keep nearly clicking on these threads because I keep misreading the title as "Doctor Who Addicts Anonymous". Wish there was one of those!

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 21:17:21

Oh bloody hell, the one I thought was Valentine's Day wasn't. I'm only now at Valentine's day.

Why can't I just delete them? What compels me to watch them??

I truly am a SDTP. sad

You need to watch Valentines Day, there have been a lot of repercussions in the 6tl household.

Oodsigma Wed 27-Feb-13 21:27:04

gaelic. doctor who addicts should be gathering soon!

gaelicsheep Wed 27-Feb-13 21:36:07

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 21:37:56

Who - I have watched this one. Could sense it was important.

However, it should have had a public health warning - have just nearly choked on my orange when a flashback of Princess Bubblegum was on! shock

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 21:51:34

gaelic can't we tempt you to join us? It's got Doctors in it, and unbelievable storylines. Not so many aliens though.

But it's dead good! That is a total lie

gaelicsheep Wed 27-Feb-13 21:52:45

Sadly I'm at work when it's on, otherwise I'm sure I'd be following it avidly with the rest of you! (like I did when on maternity leave grin)

AnneEyhtMeyer Wed 27-Feb-13 22:06:00

You don't have to watch live, gaelic, just record it or watch it on iPlayer!

Go on, you know you are tempted. The storylines are even more far-fetched and tenuous than Doctor Who!

That's what Iplayer is for Gaelic - I started watching (again) when I was off sick for 6 weeks last year and very rarely see it live now, but seem to be hooked largely due to the friendly nature of this thread not the storylines

ujjayi Wed 27-Feb-13 22:14:40

I've never clicked on this thread before for fear you are all real I see that you are all as bewildered as I am as to why the BBC funds this dross drama.

I think our current thread title gives the game away!

MsNobodyAgain Wed 27-Feb-13 22:29:21

We're all a tiny bit bonkers ujjayi

<pats waiting room chair invitingly>

G'wan, take a seat.

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 09:36:56

it's dh's birthday. If he's good, I might take him to pizza hutgrin
this means I will miss today's live. Actually, watching later has it's benefits- like being able to fast forward the 6tl bits. She has one, pained expression. Have we ever seen her smile?

It's hard to tell whether she's smiling or grimacing. Watched yesterday's late last night - Zara is on top form.

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 09:44:24

Want Zara to come & clear out the staff.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 10:17:41

I think 6tl 'smiles' in the opening credits. It's very odd.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 10:18:29

Enjoy your meal out Raahh. smile

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 10:33:30

6tl's whole face is weird. It looks like wax.

Still catching up - I can't wait to see Zara.

At the minute I'm hoping the Swiss clinic will do a multi-deal. How much for 6tl, Sam, Chris, FOD and Jimmi?

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 10:38:45

Oh I like Pizza Hut, Raah. If DH drops out let me know and I'll join you.

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 13:45:05

Mmmmm pizza. --am slightly obsessed with f

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 13:45:28

slightly obsessed with food atm

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 13:48:24

I think I've been blown out by Raahh so I have had to settle for a chicken sandwich.

Middle aged swingers!

Oh Lord what is this all about? confused

FFS what on earth?

Hahahaha Plod has arrived.

Another one I'm quite glad the DCs are out for.

This is very weird viewing for a lunchtime.

Al on the pull <yuck>

Ewwwwww. Make it stop.

Oooh he is going to seduce Mrs T. shock

Oh Mrs T, go on, he's nice.

For anyone reading down the thread without watching, Al is not trying to pull Mrs T

grin Who.

I don't think it's going to be Al's lucky night somehow.

Or the vicar's.

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 13:57:33

grin what's going on in Letherbridge today? Someone slipped Viagra in the water?

More tea Vicar?

Cringe! Don't do it Al!

How's my action? <snurk>

Blimey. Didn't see that coming. shock weird plot twist.

<bleurghh>. I'm on Iplayer, think I must be a minute or two behind.

Brace yourself Who.

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 14:02:19

WTF x10000000000000 today.

Wild animals - better get down to Ralph's flat Vicar.

Oh Jas, don't lead him on.

Eh what? Who stole it? Eh? confused

Oh no. This is very grim for a weekday lunchtime.

He's very forward for a man of the cloth. Getting Mrs T drunk AND using first names.

Exterminating angel?

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 14:08:58

Jizz is v naive

Agree Sparkling. Depressing.

Just bizarre Who I imagine preschoolers may be watching. Hate to be Mary Whitehouse but it's not really on.

Blimey. Tomorrow's looks a bit shock too.

Hahaha it's the 'hilarious' episode of OFAH next with the blow up dolls. hmm

Crikey, tomorrow doesn't look much better.

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 14:54:14

So glad for Who's reassurance that Al wasn't trying to seduce Mrs T as I was worried for a moment there!

Just got Tuesday's and Wednesday's to watch then I can watch today's, so hopefully I'll be up to date by tomorrow. Can't wait to see Zara's return!

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 15:13:44

Well, it sounds like an interesting episode today. I fell asleep before it started blush.

I blame that on a chippy dinner.

MsN you are in for a treat if you have recorded it. A festival of WTFness with a bit more on the top.

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 15:32:12

Snoozing in the afternoon, MsN? It sounds like you had a wine or two with that chippy dinner! wink

A festival of WTFness indeed, it was as if they had pulled all the WTFs from about a week's worth of episodes and squeezed them into one. No actual patients either, unless you count the Exterminator.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 16:04:20

Anne how very dare you! grin. It's exhaustion. Honest guvnor wink

I've just caught up. It was indeed a festival of WTFness. Brill episode actually. I didn't expect it. It's put me off sex for life not that I get any anyway

Poor Rev. Mrs T has no idea of his desires. He was a bit full on wasn't he though? Dinner, wine, clutching her hand. I came over all protective.

Horsemad Thu 28-Feb-13 17:07:47

I knew it!
Couldn't watch today so will iPlayer it later -but I said y'day that the Rev was after Mrs T.

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 17:32:00

Exhaustion, MsN? DO you mean "tired and emotional"?

I think the Rev & Mrs T would be a bad move. He hasn't got over his dead wife in the last episode I watched (Monday's I think). But maybe someone showing an interest in her will spur Heston into action? That cleaning lady is not right for him, however well she can polish silver.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 17:43:18

If they do get together, we've got to go with the suggestion of TREV as an acronym. grin

Do you think we are likely to be using the acronym JizzAl anytime soon?

Oodsigma Thu 28-Feb-13 17:54:30

That's a really bad image who blush

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 17:58:44

Oh no. Please Lord. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 18:11:47

Anne blush sorry. It was an ok pizza hut experience, made all the better for the 'kids eat free'voucher (dd2 doesn't eat much, so I'm too tight to pay for her).

I got out of making/buying a birthday cake, as Dh was a judge at the school fair trade bake sale. He feels a bit sick nowgrin

All this waffle is covering up for the fact I haven't watched today's episodegrin

Horsemad Thu 28-Feb-13 18:52:03

I love the acronym TREV grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 19:47:54

Watching yesterday's now - Zara is fab!

I also like the Rev - I hope he stays.

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 19:58:14

I am so happy I might refrain from criticising the plot. (Not really)

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:04:05

Trying to catch up- but prob won't see much.
Eww to oldie afternoon delights hmm

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 20:04:27

Mrs T has a beautiful face, doesn't she?

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:06:10

Has anyone read 'Gerald's game' by Stephen king- the man tied to the bed reminded me of that.

MsNobodyAgain Thu 28-Feb-13 20:07:01

She is bonny Anne

Apologies Raahh I am not stalking you, honest grin

It gets worse Raah.

Yes, Mrs T is beautiful. I wonder how old the actress is?

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:08:57

Gobbyplod! It's quite wtf this. Loved rect-al tidying up - reminds me of when my mum springs a visit -- it's the only time the place gets properly tidied--

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:10:47

MsNo nice to see cross-thread participation. grin

I'm stuck using my phone. It's bugging me.

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:15:44

Why is 6tl doing the police stuff? Isn't that Jimmi's job? (i may have asked this before)

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:20:47

This is a very odd episode. Strange old ladies, dodgy seedy bloke with HIV.

Is Mrs T getting tipsy? she doesn't strike me as a drinkergrin

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:24:04

Some terrible acting in this episodegrin

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:27:27

Gordon- get your hands off mrs T! <stern>

toldmywrath Thu 28-Feb-13 20:31:06

Who I think we could be entering the AlJizz era (isn't that a TV station?) soon. grin
Have been away & come back to a hormonal hair & pizza thread with 2 newcomers-lovely!
And Zara-she is great & says everything other people must be thinking, especially that awful green paint!

toldmywrath Thu 28-Feb-13 20:32:58

Has 6tl ever had any patients in the surgery? (not sure if she has, apart from the police surgeon ones)

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 20:33:05

I quite fancy the Rev. blush Have no idea why. I've not even had a drink.

Horsemad Thu 28-Feb-13 20:34:16

shock Anne!!

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 20:35:08

I think we could be entering the AlJizz era

Told that has made me laugh!

Raahh Thu 28-Feb-13 20:35:49

AlJizz-era is inspiredgrin

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 20:36:12

I've always had a thing about geeky-looking men, Horse. It is a terrible affliction. It must be his glasses.

toldmywrath Thu 28-Feb-13 20:39:37

Thanks Anne
I believe the rev would look better without his specs-you might just have a point (are you sure no drink has been taken?)

Horsemad Thu 28-Feb-13 20:41:24

Oh I quite like a geek myself, but I'm not sure about him smile

toldmywrath Thu 28-Feb-13 20:41:42

Ooh cross posted with Anne ( I didn't see your glasses comment)
& thanks Raahh

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 20:42:35

Definitely no drink taken, Told. Although this episode would probably be better after a few.

"Please call me Gordon" - Oh my!

toldmywrath Thu 28-Feb-13 20:43:50

Shades of fifty there Oh My!

AnneEyhtMeyer Thu 28-Feb-13 20:47:51

Not read it, Told!

Well that is so poignant! She is so oblivious to his intentions and yet she is in the same position with Heston. Doctors at its best!

Barbara at Mrs Tembe's church is played by an actress who viewed my old house twice... Didn't buy it though...

Is Barbara the nasty blonde one? She looks vaguely familiar.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 09:23:59

Just read an interview with Lorna Laidlaw and she says Mrs T's wigs were her idea!

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 10:31:47

Even if they’ve played a character this year, there’s no reason why they can’t come back as somebody else next year. So it’s good.

This bit in the interview made me laugh. I think we all know the Doctors people aren't averse to using the same actors more than once. 6tl anyone? grin

I read that interview last night when I was trying to find out how old she is, made me smile too.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 13:36:18

Just thought I would throw that in there, because it's pretty smile

(Actually, it looks a bit like a fairy wand)

Hi MsN.

Is it STD week or something?

Moron No2 grin

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 13:47:46

It seems to be Sparkling. Also, is it me or have they moved the start time forward slightly?

Did it start early? Missed the beginning. More HIV?

Not HIV,I don't think, but don't know what.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 13:49:47

It seems to have moved to 1.40ish. 1.42pm according to me actually.

Do we know what the bloke has got? Chylamidia (can't spell it)

This Sam storyline is getting to the point of FTC.

Squirm Daniel Squirm

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 13:53:37

I hate birth storylines.

Where have the comedy episodes gone? We need Mrs T on the Jubilee Bus again.

Her bump's vanished

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 13:56:04

That ambulance is taking it's time.

Sky planner says it started at 1.40

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:00:56

Agree, BAH.

Planner says it starts at 1.40 on Monday as well.

Um, exceedingly unlikely scenario re Daniel, Zara and woman having the baby/slow ambulance.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:05:37

I'm losing the will to live.

Me too.

Oh no, there's his good arm busted then.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:07:17

He's proper knackered now then.

Yawny yawny yawn.

This episode is never ending.

So where did the STD come from then?

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:09:56

FFS, that was dreadful.

To anyone watching later. DELETE, DELETE, DELETE!

Poor Sam.

Well that's half an hour I won't get back.

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:11:33

God knows Sparkling. Oh look, OFAH and it's the gold chain/heart attack one. grin

I have 45 minutes til DS2 comes back. Then the weekend starts. smile

Got anything nice planned?

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:17:45

I'm minding another child tonight so it's film/popcorn/choccy/eat til you puke night. And I have to hang a new set of curtains. Ummmmm, but I have some free time for a change on Sunday so I'll drop in on my sister. You?

Football, football and then some more football. DS1 has training tonight 7-8pm for one club then 9-10pm for another.

Tomorrow morning both DSs have a match. Sunday afternoon DS1 has another match.

My weekends never used to be like this. sad

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 14:23:53

I am glad my DS's are non-athletic. And since I am single I don't even have to endure football on the TV anymore. grin

Well, I'm off to bag my parking space outside the school. See you soon.

See you later. I have a full day on the touchline tomorrow as DS is playing in a football tournament. I actually like football, but not standing around muddy pitches in the middle of winter (it may be the first day of spring but it's bloody cold still). On the plus side I am going out tonight.

toldmywrath Fri 01-Mar-13 14:30:06

Sparkling being a bit dim but what does FTC stand for please?
Prof Cox & the curtains strikes again MsNo

toldmywrath Fri 01-Mar-13 14:31:32

Also, couldn't Sam afford one of those electric wheelchairs that are used with just one hand (before he broke his good arm obvs!)

Failure to Care - I think that is one step worse than Boring as Hell (BAH).

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 15:12:10

Just watching now. Only watching in the hope the Rev is in it again.

I looked up the Rev, he is actually quite good looking without the glasses. See here

According to IMDB it is his third appearance in Doctors. No surprise there!

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 15:34:44

Well that was pretty crap (apart from Zara). No Rev sad.

Horsemad Fri 01-Mar-13 15:48:15

Hey Anne you are right, he IS quite good looking! Not bad at all...

Another one who looks a lot younger in real life.

Horsemad Fri 01-Mar-13 15:55:04

Unless that pic was taken 15 yrs ago Who?!!

Just looked again - I went to school with a Steven Elder. Hmmm.

OK, born and brought up in Rotherham, definitely not him then.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 16:01:33

Elder isn't his real name, apparently, Who.

I am not a stalker, by the way. blush

No, of course you're not. He is rather nice though, I have yet to find any of the regulars in Doctors attractive. <fussy>

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 16:14:05

I'd do him, but only after a rigorous STI check and a scrub down with a wire brush and Dettol given recent storylines.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 16:16:31

grin MsN!

blush grin MsN!

So, who is going to end up with Julia's shares? <desperately tries to raise the tone>

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 16:24:22

It's been 2 years Anne. I'd pretty much do anybody apart from the ex!

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 16:25:23

Ahem. Sorry Who. My money is on Howard actually. I think he's in it to stay.

He's not going to roll over for Zara is he? <plunges tone back into the sewer>

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 16:46:00

shock You two are pure filth!

I think it will be TBFE too, as Zara doesn't really have the spare cash, Daniel certainly doesn't, and Jimmi turns down the opportunity to be a partner every time it comes up (about once every six months!).

So if Juuuulia is finally selling her shares does that mean she will sell her house too and Heston will be forced to return to his abandoned house?

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 17:06:03

we have daffs!!

haven't been in to watch today's but needed a excuse to use the daffodil. Went to a Welsh university, we used to go to a service at St.David's cathedral on St David's day, it was great. <sigh> my facebook page is full of people reminiscing about the good old days- 20 years this June I graduated [sob].

had to have a giggle at the 'last time I had sex' thing, MsN- brings back back a very cringy memory of being drunk at a work's do. I informed EVERYONE who would listen it was 3 years since I'd had sex. 12 months later I had dsblush and it was someone I met online<cringe>

MsNobodyAgain Fri 01-Mar-13 17:16:56

Raahh, that is priceless. grin

I once went to a works do where a girl got spectacularly drunk and lifted up her top to show us that she'd duck-taped her middle to hold her fat in fit into her top. That was a showstopper.

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 17:24:36

ouch! now that had to hurt a bitgrin

I often embarrassed myself at parties- probably a good thing I now rarely leave the housegrin

Horsemad Fri 01-Mar-13 17:47:27

I usually have to go back the day after parties etc to apologise for getting so drunk blush
I'm not a nasty drunk, but used to get roaring drunk and fall asleep with my head in my dinner! Most embarassing!!
Can't be doing with the hangovers now so tend to behave myself.

I'd prob do Daniel if I got the chance grin

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 18:39:57

I've fallen asleep in my food before now. I'm sure I used to get invited out, as the entertainmentblush.

I liked Daniel with the beard, without, not so much. TBFE would leave a slick of brill cream on the pillowcases. Jimmi- ewww, no. I'd def do Al before I'd consider Jimmi. In fact, I would go so far as to say Mandy would be preferableshockgrin

I'd prob do Gobbyplod or Heston grin

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 18:41:03

of course, Dh would probably have something to say about it...grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 18:56:44

I got drunk at my boss' wedding, fell asleep on a stool at the bar and promptly fell off it. Sadly someone videoed it on a smart phone. I expect it is on YouTube somewhere. I left shortly after.

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 18:58:24

I'd do (in order)

The Rev
Daniel with a beard

I'd rather do Barry than any of the other men.

Oodsigma Fri 01-Mar-13 19:32:53

I've just watched today's. should have read the thread first .

toldmywrath Fri 01-Mar-13 21:14:41

Probably the rev & TBFE at the same time

Oodsigma Fri 01-Mar-13 21:25:12

shock what would mrs T say?

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 21:33:52

finally catching up- put off by the fact the boyfriend was in Love Actually and was crap in that Stds/infidelity week o Doctors then.

We need a funny theme week- like Shakespeare week, when Barry wore his yellow trews to woo Juuuuuulia.

Pregnant woman wasn't nearly sweaty/red-faced/sweary enough to be inlabour, imogrin

Why was Sam wearing the stupid hat?

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 21:41:19

love the professionalism in this programme.grin Surely Zaniel should be arguing elsewhere!

Raahh Fri 01-Mar-13 21:45:48

oh dear- Poor Sam.

And didn't like Zara much today.

6tl expanded hr repertoire of facial expressions to include.... nope, same old expressiongrin

AnneEyhtMeyer Fri 01-Mar-13 23:58:46

Now now, Raahh, don't forget that glance behind her she does before delivering every line.

AnneEyhtMeyer Sat 02-Mar-13 12:52:27

Just read the spoilers - things look a bit more promising.

MsNobodyAgain Sat 02-Mar-13 13:15:01

Yep. Looks like we're in for a good couple of weeks actually. Just what the Doctor ordered <cringe at my own bad joke>

Raahh Sat 02-Mar-13 19:31:06

Just read the spoilers. Things may be looking up.grin

We have had no tv/phone/ or internets all day. Bloody Virginangry

toldmywrath Sat 02-Mar-13 20:41:54

Raahh I wasn't sweaty or red faced in labour & so thought it was not realistic! (I might have sworn a bit grin )
Is sweating normal then?

Raahh Sat 02-Mar-13 20:46:01

told- I think it may have been the fact the hospital liked tropical temperatures that made me sweaty smile

MsNobodyAgain Sat 02-Mar-13 21:02:32

I gave

MsNobodyAgain Sat 02-Mar-13 21:05:28

I hate this poxy tablet.

I gave birth to DD on the hottest day of the year in 2003. Sweating was involved. No swearing. I am a laydee.

MsNobodyAgain Sun 03-Mar-13 14:54:10

Sunday bump.

Because I'm waiting for tea to cook and I'm sick to death of spam on the boards. Poor MNHQ. sad

Hi MsN. I am up to date with the spoilers. The murder mystery evening is going to happen!!!!

Everyone is out. I am watching The Big reunion on Sky +. 5ive, 911 and Bewitched. grin

MsNobodyAgain Sun 03-Mar-13 15:02:45

I'm really looking forward to this week. It better deliver, BIG TIME!

I had some free time earlier and went to see my sister. She and her husband had been arguing. Rearrange this sentence: atmosphere, knife, cut, with, have, could, the, a.

I beat a hasty retreat grin

Ooh I hate that. Wonder what they were arguing about sad

Well the spoilers look hopeful but we know not to get our hopes up by now. grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 03-Mar-13 15:43:42

This week has got to be an improvement - or is it the week after? I get very confused with the spoilers.

Mind you, anything has got to be better than the Eastenders episodes I have been watching today on a massive catch-up session. The acting ability is shite compared to Doctors. And Massoud blowing out Carol for that stupid annoying Cheryl Cole clone is bloody ridiculous.

MsNobodyAgain Sun 03-Mar-13 15:47:33

The acting is shite compared to Doctors

<faints and waits for home visit>

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 03-Mar-13 15:49:33

Did you want a doctor, nurse, HCA, Practice Manager or Receptionist for your Home Visit MsN?

Oodsigma Sun 03-Mar-13 15:50:26

Read the spoilers, might be picking up a bit this week.

Will be on iplsyer for Thursday/Friday though as I'm having a BABY!!!!

MsNobodyAgain Sun 03-Mar-13 15:50:57

I'll take Kevin if he's free. Just let me dye my hair and beautify myself. I should be ready in a day or so... grin

MsNobodyAgain Sun 03-Mar-13 15:52:11

Ood how exciting!!!!!!!! Planned section, or are you due, or what?

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 03-Mar-13 15:52:41

Ood!! Wow! Good luck! Hope you don't end up with two doctors arguing across you about their relationship!

AnneEyhtMeyer Sun 03-Mar-13 15:53:29

MsN - I'll book Kevin for you. Did you want him to wear his lovely trousers?

MsNobodyAgain Sun 03-Mar-13 15:56:32

Thanks Anne. I'll take the red trousers of lurve, not the turd brown ones though thankyouverymuch.

Oodsigma Sun 03-Mar-13 15:56:41

Planned section. Dc4 , CS4 <eek> , early & v much needed as I've barely left the house since Dec due to not being able to walk . Am in that bit where I'm torn between 'woohoo in having a baby' and 'oh shit I'm having an Op!'

Oodsigma Sun 03-Mar-13 15:57:28

anne if it works as a distraction for me that's ok!

Good luck Ood, hope everything goes well.

Raahh Sun 03-Mar-13 16:14:01

Ood envy
-how exciting!!
hope it all goes well grin

Horsemad Sun 03-Mar-13 17:22:09

Ood - good luck smile

toldmywrath Sun 03-Mar-13 21:26:35

Ood more exciting than a Doctors episode any day! Good luck to you & yours.

Oodsigma Sun 03-Mar-13 21:37:51

smile thanks. Just got to get to Thursday now!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:44:24

Afternoon. Anyone around?

Just rushed to speed-change the bedding only to find it started early! Don't think I've missed much.

Oh dear. 6tl again.

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 13:45:36

Hi Anne

Yep, 6tl. But at least she's wearing a purple waterfall neckline top instead of that beige one. hmm

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:46:26

Hi MsN.

Yes, we should be grateful for small mercies.

Yay! The Gobbies!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:49:20

Ok, 5 minutes in and I'm already wondering WTF.

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 13:49:44

Is Jimmi doing a home visit in a factory? confused

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:50:29

He goes there monthly? Why? And since when? confused

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:51:04

Has he kidnapped someone??

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 13:52:15

God knows. It might be one of them "hearing voices through the door but there's nobody there" storylines.

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 13:53:11

am several minutes behind, due to my internet going. I am getting very fed up.

So- bloke who was playing air guitar- what's he been in.

Oh goody, 6tl. Oh, this is a bitrandom, but ds has discovered Mr Bean onsome crappy channel- and in one of the episodes Sam was in it!

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 13:54:45

We do get an 'they are seing ghosts' episode quite regularly.

The Gobby's! yay!

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 13:55:15

How random Raahh!

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 13:57:37

My mum developed dermatitis years ago when she used to sew buggyhoods from home. It was the materials they used.

Anyway- i'm confused

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:58:02

Very random Raahh!

Love how one of them "hearing voices through the door but there's nobody there" storylines is a perfectly viable explanation for a Doctors episode!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 13:59:01

Sam looks quite like Johnny Wilkinson.

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 13:59:58

'have you ever done the lambada'

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 14:00:27

6tl hasn't got nice calves...

Hardly relevant but I thought I'd throw that in there.

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 14:01:21

Home visit. Bloody hell, Jimmi is diligent today.

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 14:02:11

grin @ MrsN

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 14:04:46

Oh, I do love Gobby. grin

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 14:05:28

The Gobby's go line-dancing.

Do you think by 'doing something energetic together' Gobbyplod had other ideasgrin

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:05:35

I have to say her calves are the least of her troubles! She should start with her personality.

I thought Jimmi would run a mile when he saw a padlock on the door! Bringing back memories of the radiator!!

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:06:17

I thought the same, Raahh! grin

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 14:07:14

Anne at least we're spared Gobby afternoon delights for a while...

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 14:07:55

I'm really a bit lost.

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 14:08:40

So, what has the dermatitis got to do with anything?

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:09:08

Thank God for that, Raahh! I almost needed counselling the last time.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:10:04

So what was the storyline about today then? Is it a two-parter or did they just decide not to bother?

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 14:10:44

Tomorrows episode looks good. Gobbyplod in cowboy chaps.

Christina Aguliera has nothing to worry about grin

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:11:38

And it looks like Al is making a move on Jizz!

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 14:11:43

I gave up trying to understand after 5 minutes and just concentrated on the fun bits.

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:13:48

Disappointing that TRev wasn't in it today.

Raahh Mon 04-Mar-13 14:15:17

We need more of TRev, definitely. And less of 6tl.

MsNobodyAgain Mon 04-Mar-13 14:15:30

Anne and Gordon sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g

AnneEyhtMeyer Mon 04-Mar-13 14:17:56

I'd rather take him to a hotel, MsN. wink

grin perfect description of a Doctors episode.

Well, that was definitely WTF. I kept thinking piano man was going to chop his hand off in the machine. No explanation of why the kids were taunting him (unless my concentration lapsed).

Bored, bored, bored of the 6TLs.

Hello all. Missed yesterday's shall I bother? Won't be watching live today either. I am off to DS2's school for Fairtrade Biscuits and Tea, smile

MsNobodyAgain Tue 05-Mar-13 13:44:57

Don't bother with yesterdays. Sam got out of hospital and is still banging on about Switzerland. The Gobbys are taking up line dancing.

That's it.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 05-Mar-13 13:47:01

Karen looks like 'Puss in Boots' hmm

Horsemad Tue 05-Mar-13 13:47:29

Hello, day off so watching 'live'.

MsNobodyAgain Tue 05-Mar-13 13:49:50

Hiya Horsemad

Wonder what's going on with the neighbour.

Raahh Tue 05-Mar-13 13:50:34

Who do we think the old lady is?
Just a neighbour?

MsNobodyAgain Tue 05-Mar-13 13:51:51

An alkie?

Horsemad Tue 05-Mar-13 13:51:56

Love the way FOD starts asking why Belinda's BP might be raised. When mine was up, they just said 'it's a bit high' and that was that - never checked it again since shock
