First episode was on Sky Atlantic last night. I thought it was pretty good.

HelgatheHairy Wed 23-Jan-13 11:12:06

I thought it was good as well. Clever idea. I was disturbed by the fact I thought Kevin Bacon looked good in it!

DevlinMaccabee Wed 23-Jan-13 11:49:27

Not so sure about him looking good, but better than some of his previous characters for sure!

alexrider Thu 24-Jan-13 07:59:18

I just watched this last night, I thought it was good, I certainly jumped in a couple of places. I love James Purefoy though.

bruffin Thu 24-Jan-13 08:08:25

Can't
We don't have Sky Artlantic sad

Nancy66 Thu 24-Jan-13 15:28:57

I might watch this if people think it's good - can't get into Utopia

SpanishFly Thu 24-Jan-13 15:37:49

I LOVED THIS!!
I really loved how it was like a film in its own right - it could have ended there, without any further episodes. And they style of filming, and the subject matter was very movie-like. And SO MUCH happened - I get fed up of programmes that drag out an hour with very little happening.

Kevin Bacon did look quite hot - I think it was the very very very expensive shirt and suit that did it.
And James Purefoy was so brilliantly cast - really handsome but terrifying.
A lot of it was cliched, but thats ok - it's just TV.

DevlinMaccabee Tue 29-Jan-13 17:25:13

Wonder what episode 2 will have in store for us?

Thought it was excellent. Very gory. I'm such a wimp I was behind a pillow for a lot of it!

Mosschops30 Tue 29-Jan-13 21:24:18

Loved it too, and loved Kevin Bacon! I deffo would

BaconAndAvocado Tue 29-Jan-13 22:48:25

Ugh! Both the Following and Utopia are a complete misery. DH has been watching both, whilst I'm on MN, and its one inane killing after another.

Downton Abbey anyone? grin

DevlinMaccabee Tue 29-Jan-13 22:58:46

Another great episode! What was that all about with that federal agent woman giving Carroll that book?

Omg I love it. I so wanna hate Kevin bacon but just can't. I'm looming forward to
No 3

HelgatheHairy Tue 29-Jan-13 23:22:27

Not sure about the agent giving him the book. DH has thought that some agent will be involved but I doubt they'd reveal it this soon

ReindeerBollocks Tue 29-Jan-13 23:24:51

Just saw both episodes, it was amazing. Really well acted by JP and KB. DH and I were also discussing who else amongst the police force will be part of the following. Am not putting ideas on this thread just in case I'm wrong!

chickensarmpit Tue 29-Jan-13 23:26:28

James purefoy is my new obsession. Oh my god he's gorgeous!

DevlinMaccabee Wed 30-Jan-13 08:00:43

I agree, I doubt they would reveal who else was involved so early on.

Why do I have to wait almost a week for episode 3?

PetiteRaleuse Wed 30-Jan-13 08:05:54

I watched episode one a couple of nights ago. Looking forward to episode two. Looks like an interesting idea, I hope they keep it up.

Watching ep 2 tonight, very excited. I have had a little crush on James Purefoy since watching Rome a few years ago, so worth watching just for him.

Great to have some well written drama (hopefully it will continue to be) with lots of eye candy!!! (we need a dirty old woman smiley)

Nancy66 Wed 30-Jan-13 11:00:28

I have to tape it and watch it during the day as DP is away and i'm too scared to watch it at night...

SpanishFly Wed 30-Jan-13 12:52:32

I love how it has the feel of a movie, rather than a series - so much happens in the hour (45 mins after ad breaks!)

Ooh, a Following thread! I just watched last nights. It's really good, but won't ruin it for those who haven't seen it yet. I love Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. Finally a gripping programme with great actors to replace 24!

SpanishFly Wed 30-Jan-13 13:07:51

but it's easier to follow what's going on in the plot than it was with 24!

Kevin Bacon - I SOOOO would. I've always thought he was totally unattractive. Until last week smile

And Joe's wife - my new girl crush.

Some men are definitely better with age and KB is one of them. Agree, he is fit!

Hugh Laurie being another grin mmmm dr house grin

KB didn't look bad I have to say I was sure I was gonna hate him in it!!

buzzgirly Thu 31-Jan-13 13:14:20

I am really enjoying this. I think there will be a few twists, I just hope it doesn't drag out and get ridiculous like so many US dramas.

I agree about Kevin Bacon, I have never considered him attractive before but he seems to have become really hot in this.wink

That FBI agent, when she started talking about cults in Emma's house...it was the way she was talking so even Ryan looked at her....well it was obvious she was going to be a follower. That book she gave to Joe must have a message in it and I reckon he will pass it back with instructions for her.

Mewsical Fri 01-Feb-13 19:18:54

Yes, agree there's something going one with the book at the end.

i must be in the minority then...Kevin Bacon has always been a yes from me...but never in Footloose...he was a no, way back then.

DevlinMaccabee Sun 03-Feb-13 08:06:21

Is it Tuesday yet?

Yeah, I reckon that book will be used by Carroll to pass instructions to federal agent lady, didn't think of that before.

Figgygal Sun 03-Feb-13 08:10:22

James purefoy is gorgeous!!!
We don't have sky but I do have sky go (via my parents sky) so can watch on iPad its just finding the time still have ep 2 to watch

DevlinMaccabee Sun 03-Feb-13 09:02:56

Episode 2 is brilliant Figgy, definitely worth finding time for.

BornInACrossFireHurricane Sun 03-Feb-13 09:23:37

Watched both yesterday and LOVED them. Yes to Kevin Bacon wink

Best tv show I have seen in a long time actually, and I must admit I had to hide behind my hands a few times!

DancesWithWoolEnPointe Sun 03-Feb-13 09:36:43

I like KB - he was particularly yummy in flatliners! I wish I was aging as well as he has!

I've enjoyed it so far.

BorninaCross yes, I agree and I look forward to the next episode, although I record it and watch it on the Wednesday.

James Purefoy is fit, but he is scary in this!

PetiteRaleuse Sun 03-Feb-13 15:36:01

Just watched episode 2. Pretty good. A someone said up thread, I hope it doesn't drag on and on and just get ridiculous.

SpanishFly Tue 05-Feb-13 15:21:16

IT'S TUESDAY! WOOHOO!

DevlinMaccabee Tue 05-Feb-13 18:11:11

Getting excited, hope these next few hours go fast!

DevlinMaccabee Wed 06-Feb-13 07:59:17

Anybody else watch last night? Definitely think that Federal agent lady is shady.

Sent shivers down my spine when they were teaching the young boy how to kill.

SpanishFly Wed 06-Feb-13 13:04:56

aw, that poor wee boy sad

Yep, agree that the FBI woman is in on it in some way. Altho it's maybe a double bluff.
And when the gorgeous black man was stabbed - I actually went "nooooooooooooooo!"

She's definately up to something!!!! And I'd already guessed that something went on with the fake gay neighbours.

That was very sinister with the boy!! sad

SilverSky Wed 06-Feb-13 13:17:30

Marking my place!

LOVE LOVE what I've seen so far. <hooked>

SpanishFly Wed 06-Feb-13 13:18:57

I'm hooked too - I really do love when a new (and exciting) programme comes along. And it makes sense to me - I dont have to keep saying, "Eh? What have I missed?" all the time. confused

Yes, the poor little boy, my heart was thumping! What if we are being tricked into thinking the FBI lady is shady and it's going to be the rookie young guy working with Ryan who's a follower?

SilverSky Wed 06-Feb-13 15:06:43

Still got half of Ep3 to watch! Can't watch it at night when home alone so watch when the smalls are napping.

FBI lady is dodgier than dodge city.

The nanny is Eeeeeeevil. Non?

JP's wife is the sister from Dirty Sexy Money I think. Character name Karen?

KB is strangely attractive. So sue me.

This is a bit like Harper's Island where you can't help but keep thinking is s/he involved? What about him/her? Then you drive yourself bonkers til your brain self combusts with all the trickery.

DevlinMaccabee Wed 06-Feb-13 17:21:36

Interesting, I never even suspected the young rookie agent.

<rubs chin>

The darn followers are everywhere aren't they. That poor cop. sad

So we've gone from suspecting shady FBI lady to young looks-innocent-so-therefore-could-be-a-baddie rookie guy! We can't be completely wrong, one of them is definitely going to be evil.....

Silver I always watch this on a Wednesday lunchtime when DS2 is napping. I'm a wuss too!

Oh, I am definitely into KB. grin

SoftKittyWarmKitty Wed 06-Feb-13 21:19:40

I watch it on Saturday nights when it's repeated, so I'm a few days behind. Loving it though. Agree about KB being do-able - I even line him in the mobile phone ads blush.

I loved Harper's Island too, it's similar in that it keeps you guessing.

SoftKittyWarmKitty Wed 06-Feb-13 21:21:09

like him, not line him grin

DevlinMaccabee Sun 10-Feb-13 08:45:26

Might have to try Harper's Island

maxmillie Sun 10-Feb-13 22:05:37

Also agree about kb. Its 10.00. I am alone downstairs. Its snowing outside and I can't see a thing. Am going in for episode 4. Wish me luck.

aristocat Mon 11-Feb-13 09:55:09

I am watching it too, totally hooked smile

gimmecakeandcandy Mon 11-Feb-13 22:31:46

Episode 3 was great wasn't it? How they are turning the boy... It was a surprise yet it was what I was expecting! If that makes sense...

DevlinMaccabee Mon 11-Feb-13 23:04:28

Episode 4 tomorrow!

DevlinMaccabee Tue 12-Feb-13 22:58:27

That poor captured girl never stood a chance, did she?

HarleyQuinn Wed 13-Feb-13 00:11:29

Really enjoying this show!

Great episode. Yes, that poor girl. Joe's son isn't daft and knows something is wrong. I wonder if he will try and run away or call his Mum. I am still suspicious of the rookie cop.....

DevlinMaccabee Wed 13-Feb-13 14:03:11

Speaking of the rookie cop, why did it take so long for him to rescue Ryan and his sister?

That's why I am still suspicious of him, it took far too long for him to rescue Ryan. If he is a follower, he would want Ryan to suffer for longer than necessary because it would please Joe.

SilverSky Thu 14-Feb-13 19:58:38

It gets better and better doesn't it?

I think Joey will leg it. In fact I half expected him to run off in this episode.

The poor girl, just as she thought she had been set free she was caught again. I wonder if Jake has it in him to kill her? He is clearly the weak link out of the trio.

Something is definitely not right with the Rookie, that much is true.

Hurry up next week please! I must say, it's bloody brilliantly written.

valiumredhead Fri 15-Feb-13 12:22:00

I've gone off it now tbh, shame as I enjoyed the first episode.

I am frightened for Joey, if he tries to run. Jake clearly isn't killer material, but Emma and the other guy are psycho!

DevlinMaccabee Fri 15-Feb-13 23:04:38

Yep, they are proper psychos!

Can't wait to see what happens next.

SilverSky Tue 19-Feb-13 23:04:53

Anyone still watching?

Last night's episode! My heart was in my mouth!

DevlinMaccabee Wed 20-Feb-13 10:20:03

I need to stay away as haven't watched last nights episodes yet and can't as I'm away until Sunday- arghh!!

That's a long time to wait Devlin!

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 20-Feb-13 14:29:20

I knew there had to be more to it - more people involved, its supposed to run for 15 episodes!

Littleturkish Wed 20-Feb-13 15:14:04

How good was last night's episode?!

The weird threesome thing gave me the creeps- totally changed the power dynamic now though. I think non-killer boy is going to be the one to crack.

Great ending, I shouted when the credits rolled!!

Me too!

MothershipG Wed 20-Feb-13 15:38:41

I'm really enjoying this but find myself frequently rolling my eyes at the more implausible bits, I know it's a drama but do think they overstretch credulity at times. Anyone else?

Littleturkish Wed 20-Feb-13 17:52:54

Mothership, I want to know why no one is looking for the kidnapped girl in the basement!

Littleturkish Wed 20-Feb-13 17:59:15

Gah, re watching and saw they were looking for her. Ignore me!

SilverSky Wed 20-Feb-13 21:42:48

I thought last night's was very good. Think Him Indoors is now hooked.

Jake is certainly the weak link.

Just when I thought Joey was home free! Poor boy.

Emma is utterly twisted.

That nervous cop. It was written all over him wasn't it? Then when they thought he was alone, did they not notice the rolled up jacket on the wound?! I thought they would have sussed it right away.

That POOR lawyer. I really felt for her. Poor poor woman.

What on earth is the mother doing? I know she is desperate but still.

#rollonnextweek

ThatVikRinA22 Wed 20-Feb-13 21:45:40

im hooked too....and kevin bacon is great in it....we are taping so think ive not seen the latest episode....trying not to read.

its all a bit disturbing but im enjoying it so far.

Nancy66 Thu 21-Feb-13 13:32:02

hmmm - it's losing me a bit. Not sure how many episodes are left.
Thought this week's was a bit daft.

the idea that a serial killer known to have a following of killers on the outside would be allowed to send a coded message is a bit far-fetched.

SilverSky Thu 21-Feb-13 18:57:21

It was so obvious that the poem would be a trigger.

DevlinMaccabee Mon 25-Feb-13 08:10:20

I'm back from holiday and have finally watched Tuesdays episode.

That Police officer surely would have handled that situation with that guy in the barn better, I mean, wtf? He should have shot him in the leg, not let him get close enough to let the other guy disarm him.

Wonder how Ryan gets out of that sticky situation with the Psycho Paul holding a gun at his head! Fingers crossed backup are nearly there...

What in earth was the mum doing evading the FBI and getting in that car??

Am desperately hoping they find Megan and in time, the poor girl. I could tell Ryan was tempted to gag her again though.

SilverSky Tue 26-Feb-13 18:31:49

Can't believe Joey believed Emma and returned to the house with her either.

MagzFarqharson Tue 26-Feb-13 21:38:04

Please, please can someone remind me why the lawyer went along with doing what JP told her to do. I haven't got time to watch the episode again but can't remember why she did it confused...?

Thanks ? x

FrillyMilly Tue 26-Feb-13 21:50:33

When she decided not to represent him any more a few years previously he sent someone round to cut her finger off.

I am hooked. It is stretching it a bit with the realism but I need to know the boy will be ok. With the cop wasn't he rather naive because he's a country cop and they don't deal with that sort of crime very often?

MagzFarqharson Tue 26-Feb-13 21:56:15

Thanks Frilly grin - remembered the fingers being cut off bit but not why.

Ooo time to get the telly warmed up!

Possiblyoutedled Tue 26-Feb-13 23:04:42

Anyone watch tonight? I can't believe how many people are in on it. It shocks me everytime. I love it though, always feel gutted when its over.

DevlinMaccabee Tue 26-Feb-13 23:27:32

I watched tonight, I can't believe how many people are in on it either!

I reckon my suspicions about that federal agent lady, Deborah, were wrong. Don't think she is one of them now.

SucksFake Tue 26-Feb-13 23:32:13

Just found this thread.

Had guessed about that local cop. Hardy was so close til she showed up. So glad that Weston is OK; I like him and am desperately hoping he's not a Follower. Ooh, he could be Hardy's Follower; he's always with him!

Possibly, I know exactly what you mean. I want another episode now!

Possiblyoutedled Tue 26-Feb-13 23:41:55

I've often had to watch it on about Friday which means not so long to wait. I seriously can't believe how good this is.
Glad Megan is ok.

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots Tue 26-Feb-13 23:49:29

It's a great series, and every episode leaves you wanting more, I agree. It's quite unnerving not knowing who is in on it, an who isn't.

Littleturkish Wed 27-Feb-13 09:36:30

The local cop freaking out I found believable- these are just rural cops- they would be totally over their heads!

Now the group is split, you can see it all unravelling. I like the FBI lady, what was she looking at when it was the end though? Might have to watch that bit again.

OhCobblers Wed 27-Feb-13 11:12:40

littleturkish to me It looked like a Pendant in the design of the cult's logo? The cult that her parents belong to that is.

I love this series! Can anyone remind me how the FBI found Claire at Charlie's?

Littleturkish Wed 27-Feb-13 11:29:36

Not sure they explained it? Did they pin down the emails from the house?

I thought it was the cult thing...so sad. Mostly because the number of those cults are scarily high, and the poor girls that are abused there and the boys abandoned to keep the female:male ratio high sad

I'm still not sure about Weston or Megan. Others were fatally shot in the head, but he wasn't, or am I over-thinking? I want him to be an ally. Megan, poor soul after her childhood, she is the sort of person Joe would prey on to join, 'to want to belong' she said.

I wanted Joey to be rescued. sad

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 27-Feb-13 14:02:17

It's getting a bit silly, don't you think?

I'll still watch though! grin

I think we're meant to think its Weston - because he's the techy type too, he "intercepted" the email that no-one else did, then Emma gets an email saying its not secure? And not getting fatally shot, and sticking like glue to Ryan. I don't know. It'll prob be someone else - it's to obvious?

SilverSky Sat 02-Mar-13 18:48:19

I don't get why he was down for so long when he was wearing a bullet proof vest!

PetiteRaleuse Sat 02-Mar-13 18:57:29

Just watched the latest episode. I also think Weston is kb's follower. There to protect him until his time comes. Which it won't of course.

Just wondering how will they get more than one series out of this?

Littleturkish Sun 03-Mar-13 09:08:33

Jam- local cop was there when email was intercepted- she tipped them off?

JambalayaCodfishPie Sun 03-Mar-13 09:13:11

Oh was she? I missed that! It all moves so fast!!

HappyJustToBe Sun 03-Mar-13 09:49:24

If you're right and Weston is in on it I will not be happy. Really good stuff and not quite as predictably "unpredictable" as other shows of the same ilk.

Littleturkish Sun 03-Mar-13 11:16:31

Jam I re-watched it!! I watch it on my own, then again with DP as I'm on mat leave and too impatient to wait for him!

Definitely helps watching it twice!

I LOVED last week when KB was goading the three useless serial killers/wannabes into tying him up! It is my favourite thing on TV at the moment.

Littleturkish Sun 03-Mar-13 11:18:35

I think Weston is a red herring.

Being shot at point blank IS painful, but agree we're meant to suspect.

Perhaps KB will start to suspect him, and then his mistrust will lead to a mistake?

DevlinMaccabee Tue 05-Mar-13 23:17:35

Anyone watch tonight?

I knew that lawyer lady, Olivia was gonna get it at some point!

Omg, how many people has Carroll got following now?

Poor Joey, he looked so scared.

StrugglingBadly Wed 06-Mar-13 00:29:41

I think it tipped into the realms of the ridiculous tonight. The whole set up to get him transferred was just so predictable and transparent, not to mention ridiculous. Did I mention it was ridiculous? A highly dangerous psycho gets the opportunity to escape from high security prisons twice? It's been a bit of a stretch as a concept throughout but this is just ridiculous now.

Littleturkish Thu 07-Mar-13 01:19:02

Oh I'm still enjoying it!

Thought the set up was interesting with his escape and being reunited with Joey. Love to know the next move.

SilverSky Thu 07-Mar-13 03:37:26

I thought the first escape was fantastic and set the series really well. This week's was not believable.

I don't get why the garage guy had that girl?

Allice Thu 07-Mar-13 05:45:40

I'm loving it!

The girl the garage guy was holding is the head of the jails daughter, that was how Joe got free.

I think Weston might be Roderick, he fits the followers MO completely but it could be a red herring.

SpanishFly Thu 07-Mar-13 07:46:15

Still loving it but I agree that the escape was ridiculous. They KNOW that there was a likelihood of someone helping him as it's happened before.

OhCobblers Thu 07-Mar-13 16:31:44

How could olivia think that she could help Joe escape and live to tell the tale? She was damned if she did and damned if she didn't though!!
Is there a back story in why he hired her in the first place that ive missed?

I think roderick is yet to be revealed but don't think its Weston, though I did at first!

SilverSky Tue 12-Mar-13 22:31:05

So finally Roderick is revealed.

DevlinMaccabee Wed 13-Mar-13 08:09:08

Very strange episode last night!

OhCobblers Wed 13-Mar-13 12:31:27

I think there might ultimately be a power struggle between Joe and Roderick?!

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 13-Mar-13 13:56:25

The drama has gone, thats what made it good, now its just weird.

And there's 6/7 more episodes?

DevlinMaccabee Wed 13-Mar-13 14:18:07

I agree, Jambalaya.

Do you hear us Kevin Bacon?

We need the drama back, not more gore and weirdness please.

SilverSky Wed 13-Mar-13 14:59:34

I agree. Very poor. I even got a bit <whispers> bored.

Emma reminds me of a tortoise. It's her long neck, small head and pixie face.

Needs livening up. I'm disappointed. It had SO much potential.

GaryCharles Fri 15-Mar-13 14:30:44

Agree Silver Sky.. good start, stagnated and now its zzzzzzzzzz

MaybeOrnot Fri 15-Mar-13 15:37:44

When you don't care about the characters...all is lost.

Star0510 Sun 17-Mar-13 10:56:45

I love this show!! I think one of the agents (not KB obvs) is working fo the killer?!!

SpanishFly Sun 17-Mar-13 20:33:51

I love it too. :-)

JambalayaCodfishPie Sun 17-Mar-13 20:38:32

I DID love it. I want to love it again! I do!!!

DevlinMaccabee Mon 18-Mar-13 07:38:34

Fingers crossed tomorrows episode is a good one!

DevlinMaccabee Tue 19-Mar-13 22:57:06

Yay, the drama was back! Really enjoyed it tonight.

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 20-Mar-13 09:39:45

Just watching!

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 20-Mar-13 10:20:24

Definitely better!!! grin

SilverSky Thu 21-Mar-13 21:59:43

Much better! Thank you. wink Keep it up now.

I think that Emma and/or Roderick are going to mess things up for Joe somehow. They are both nutso and in love with Joe, they both want to be right-hand man and indispensable to him.

MabelsBelles Sun 24-Mar-13 18:13:39

It's just not doing it for me at all anymore. I hate the gore , it seems so gratuitous . I'm not hooked by any sense of drama or unexpected twists.

DevlinMaccabee Tue 26-Mar-13 23:03:56

Eh? Why was Molly there instead of Claire?

Jacob's gone all psycho now, was willing him to kill The Turtle!

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots Wed 27-Mar-13 00:07:37

It's turning out to be pants now. Zero suspense cos you know someone Kev knows will bite the bullet, and the ridiculous i.e. Claire deciding to go willingly to the psycho lair after many have been killed in their pursuit of her. It's just daft now.

Nancy66 Wed 27-Mar-13 11:36:53

how many left? I feel I have to stick with it even though it's totally ridiculous now and i watch most of it on fast forward

SpanishFly Wed 27-Mar-13 21:32:48

But Claire is trying to get her son back, and she knows she won't be killed in the process

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 27-Mar-13 22:01:45

Watched last nights whilst writing an essay, it couldn't hold my attention at all. Everytime we get a boring episode though, the next one is good - so am looking forward to next weeks! grin

Why was Molly there, have we met Molly before? I cant remember!!

MagzFarqharson Thu 28-Mar-13 19:10:42

Molly was the only girl KB ever got close to - his best friend (who got shot in the last episode surprise, surprise) was telling Claire about them, but also told her that SHE (Claire) was KB's true love so far. She then smirked in a Janine Butcher kind of way. . . .making me think 'she's one of them!!'

Plus, why would she just go off with the baddies after all that time in hiding and all those other people getting killed? - unless she's one of them!!

But, tbh, I'm only carrying on watching so I can chat about it at work on a Wednesday morning wink

Radiator1234 Fri 29-Mar-13 02:07:33

I am still watching it but it is beyond ridiculous!

Coconutty Sun 31-Mar-13 14:13:20

I'm still really enjoying it.

DevlinMaccabee Wed 03-Apr-13 00:01:38

Is it still wrong that I fancy Joe Carroll?

I'm glad Claire was finally reunited with Joey!

ygritte Wed 03-Apr-13 21:42:11

Claire's eyebrows are mesmerising....they are getting bigger with each episode.

SpanishFly Wed 03-Apr-13 22:48:45

God, I love Claires hair so much. I kind of love Claire, tbh. She's gorgeous. I also love the sparky chemistry between Claire and Ryan.

I'm still loving it, I really want Roderick and Emma to die (that's awful I know!) and I'm loving new 'dark' Jacob.
I felt so sorry for the 'red' girl this week who's name I forget, she was scared and saying the code word and getting nothing from KB and co.

What happened to the younger agent? He wasn't around this week.
I kind of loving Joe as well. Not liking creepy Molly at all.

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 03-Apr-13 23:03:59

Younger agent is still in hospital isnt he? After they tried to get him to say where Claire was.

I really dont like that Molly has gone back to Ryan after doing all that and he has no idea. Creeps me out! grin

DevlinMaccabee Tue 09-Apr-13 23:06:19

Poor Weston, he can't seem to leave the house without getting almost killed!

Not sure how he and Deborah escaped getting killed on this episode.

SilverSky Wed 10-Apr-13 22:02:56

That neck is perfect for wringing! Can't stand her. Good for Claire standing up to her and having a pop at her.

So they know who Roderick is now?

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 10-Apr-13 22:29:29

They don't know he's Roderick though do they - and it's not part of Joes plan either is it, it's Roderick playing by his own rules.

3 episodes left. Joes unravelling, there has to be a big FBI/follower reveal yet too surely? And more from Molly.

DevlinMaccabee Wed 10-Apr-13 22:55:50

Only three episodes left?

Yes, there has got to be someone else in on it.

That turtle-neck needed wringing for sure!

SilverSky Thu 11-Apr-13 06:07:30

It looked as though KB recognised Roderick (based on the sketch). Seemed to give a knowing smile. But perhaps its me wanting him to realise its Roderick. Stupid name

Coconutty Thu 11-Apr-13 13:09:30

Devlin if you fancy Joe, does that mean you would have become one of his followers?

Maybe you started this thread to convert us all.

SilverSky Thu 11-Apr-13 14:41:19

I don't find Joe attractive at all.

DevlinMaccabee Thu 11-Apr-13 18:19:30

Damn, I've been rumbled...

Was gonna suggest a big meet-up with you all at my big house in the country, but I can see that it isn't your thing Coconutty..anyone else interested?

DevlinMaccabee Fri 12-Apr-13 09:18:35

No takers then?

JambalayaCodfishPie Fri 12-Apr-13 09:24:54

It IS a very nice house. Lots of room. Nice security on the gate too...

DevlinMaccabee Fri 12-Apr-13 09:48:55

It wouldn't hurt for you just to come and have a peek Jambalaya, we have lovely wines too...

CoconuttysYoni Fri 12-Apr-13 09:52:28

Hmm, I will go if everyone else does, I mean, what's the worse that can happen?

Claire is a stupid fuckwit...why not tell KB the plan to go there and get a GPS tracker put about your person?

I'm late to the thread....Hiya ~waves~

I want Claire's hair too. Loved it when she hit bitch Emma.

Joe is vairrr attractive, I have to hold my hand up. I am being lured to the mansion by Devlin, in search of perfect hair tips from Claire, good wine and.....errr, Joe.

DevlinMaccabee Fri 12-Apr-13 17:28:42

LAB I'll even let you watch Revolution every week....

RhondaJean Fri 12-Apr-13 22:06:34

Just watching Tuesdays episode and loving it.

James purefoy is my new crush too - he actually looks a little bit like DH...

Oooh Rhonda you lucky thing!

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots Tue 16-Apr-13 23:02:11

It's finally getting good again. They should have cut a few episodes out with all the twists and made it a shorter, much more slick and interesting series. Will Ryan save Claire? I think I might just be interested enough now to wonder.grin

DevlinMaccabee Tue 16-Apr-13 23:03:35

Anyone watch tonight?

Uh oh, Fuckwit Claire is so gonna get it!

Why on earth haven't they killed Jacob yet?

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 17-Apr-13 12:42:18

Last nights was good!

Jacobs really conflicted isn't he - definitely thought it would be him who took advantage of Ryans offer tbh.

Agree with bunchamunchy though, they could have definitely cut it down!

SilverSky Wed 17-Apr-13 14:28:26

I'm watching last nights now. In hindsight so much happened in the first episode didn't it? Lots of trickery revealed. How can you maintain that all the way through and keep it fresh and nail biting? I don't think you can.

BornInACrossFireHurricane Wed 17-Apr-13 21:41:47

Does anyone know how many are left now? Just caught up on last night's- definitely getting better again!

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 17-Apr-13 22:15:13

2 left I think!

What was Claire thinking?! Now look where it's got her and poor little Joey has been through enough. I thought she was going to get close to Joe to read his 'work' on the laptop and find out his plan for Ryan, generally upset the balance in the cult using jealousy from Emma etc so one of them would do something wrong and then get word to Ryan somehow......but that's just what I would do!

I think, think, I was wrong about Weston, but still not sure about Megan. I haven't forgotten her visit to Joe when he was in custody, when she gave him that book. Hardy doesn't know about that. Joe has people everywhere so there has to be someone working in the FBI.

SilverSky Thu 18-Apr-13 20:35:44

I feel like something about Megan will come out.

DevlinMaccabee Thu 18-Apr-13 21:28:11

Megan, I thought her name was Debra lol

DevlinMaccabee Thu 18-Apr-13 21:28:50

Yes, I reckon we were all wrong about poor Weston.

I just checked on Wiki because I trust Devlin more than me and she is right, she is called Debra! The whole series, I have called her Megan! blush where did I get that from!

DevlinMaccabee Fri 19-Apr-13 19:49:21

Well the two names have the same amount of letters and the exact same vowels so easy to confuse, so we will let you off LAB grin

S

DevlinMaccabee Fri 19-Apr-13 19:49:56

Wtf is the random 'S' about? smile

PetiteRaleuse Sun 21-Apr-13 09:09:18

They've renewed for a second series. How's that going to work then?

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots Sun 21-Apr-13 09:33:36

Eh? If they let that nutter escape a 3rd time to get a 2nd series I'm NOT watching!

PetiteRaleuse Sun 21-Apr-13 13:15:32

Quite.

The only option is that they write him out and focus the next one on a different cult. Possibly based on some of the current followers (Jacob for some reason springs to mind)

But that would take out all the interesting Ryan / Claire backstory.

RhondaJean Sun 21-Apr-13 13:27:01

I'd quite like to see something twisted happen with Claire in the next two episodes and her take over as the bad guy next season, obviously with Ryan not knowing what's going on.

Highly unlikely but would be gripping!

Cannot wait for Tuesday...

RhondaJean Sun 21-Apr-13 13:27:42

Oh and joe helping/hindering Ryan from inside jail in a Hannibal fashion.

GypsyFloss Mon 22-Apr-13 19:39:31

So is Ryan's Achilles heel Joey? Is Joey his son?

We keep watching this but tbh it's a bit shit . I wish they would do some fighting in daylight, I get so confused with all the gun battles in dark tunnels and cellars.

I do agree with you on that Gypsy, the fighting in the dark all the time is annoying.

I'm still annoyed with Claire, either string Joe along and find out what he is up to and let Ryan know somehow.....or, just bloody well do a proper job of trying to kill Joe. All she has achieved is giving him a stomach wound and probably getting herself killed, leaving Joey motherless. Doh! Still, psycho Emma will be happy as she sees herself as Mrs Joe 2.

SilverSky Mon 22-Apr-13 22:16:26

Ol' turtle neck grin

Well, you would have thought by now that Ryan and Co would have worked out that the trail to the evac centre would be a ruse/distraction, but there you go.

Poor Debra. Perhaps she isn't one of them. I am so suspicious of everyone!

Yes, ol' turtleneck, like Lady Macbeth or wannabe Lady Macbeth, is loving that Claire messed up, again.

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 24-Apr-13 20:42:14

That was shit. Poor Jacob. I thought for a second Emma might kill herself after that.

I think I feel let down because I thought it was the finale and it isn't! grin

SilverSky Wed 24-Apr-13 20:43:23

I was truly gutted about Jacob getting garrotted. Such a waste of a lovely face.

PetiteRaleuse Wed 24-Apr-13 20:50:11

That was a good episode. Horrible ending though sad

OhCobblers Wed 24-Apr-13 20:58:08

I expected a more dramatic exit for Jacob!
Poor Debra. Ryan has to find her!
Also would have expected the FBI to be flooding Havenport by now, one on every corner at least!

GypsyFloss Wed 24-Apr-13 21:57:16

So is next week the last one? Much as I haven't really enjoyed it I am impressed that we're heading towards the end and I haven't a clue wtf is going to happen next .

I'm a little curious about Joe's interest in watching Ryan's secret sex tape. Does he love him?
Or is his interest in Ryan linked to the fact he "died and was reborn" through his pacemaker . Very tenuous link there I'll have to admit.

Yes, it's the last one next week. I haven't a clue what'll happen either. Whether Joe can go through with killing Claire, still not sure. I know Emma loves Joe, but I was still surprised about poor Jacob. All the people closest to Joe in his cult were unhinged and mucked up, which has sent Joe off his rocker. He isn't in control now. I wouldn't be surprised if he kills Emma because she isn't Claire IYSWIM.

Joe is definitely obsessed with Ryan. I think he may love him or he is purely jealous because Ryan is the 'hero' - something Joe can never be.

PetiteRaleuse Thu 25-Apr-13 08:05:14

The actors who play Joe and Claire have been signed up for season two and the one who plays Joe says the writer already knows what will happen end of series three but I remember people said taht about Lost

I guess the reborn remarks are to set us up for season two.

GypsyFloss Thu 25-Apr-13 17:20:51

Or he's envious of Ryan because he can die and go through the glorious transformation that is death ( his thoughts not mine!) and then be restored again by his pacemaker. I notice though that Joe's obsession with gaining glory through death doesn't extend to his own death...he seems quite keen to save himself.

Where was little Joey last night? I can't remember what happened to him.

PetiteRaleuse Thu 25-Apr-13 17:50:00

He was rescued by Ryan, flown off to Fbi HQ where his grandmother was going to him.

GypsyFloss Thu 25-Apr-13 19:18:56

Ah, thankyou, I seem to have completely missed that part!

cocolepew Thu 25-Apr-13 19:24:13

I've loved it! Haven't a bloody clue how its going to pan out though.

GypsyFloss Thu 25-Apr-13 22:05:07

It's definitely kept its secrets but I found some if the violence a bit hard going.

PetiteRaleuse Fri 26-Apr-13 09:32:24

I've really enjoyed it, once I have managed to suspend disbelief and take it as it is... i am worried about the prospect of a second and third series however as I don't see how it can be kept going. Well, worried is a strong word. I'm not lying awake at night thinking about it. Or about Kevin Bacon. Oh no.

GypsyFloss Fri 26-Apr-13 20:04:15

Hahaha, wrinkly old leather faced Kevin smile

DevlinMaccabee Fri 26-Apr-13 22:57:48

Just watched this weeks episode as been away.

Poor Debra, hope they find her!

What is up with Fuckwit Claire? Why on earth didn't she slash Joe's neck with the glass bottle or something that would actually kill him instead of just causing him to fall down in agony and getting up again perfectly fine!

PetiteRaleuse Fri 26-Apr-13 23:01:50

Because then they wouldn't be able to do a series two and three grin

GypsyFloss Sat 27-Apr-13 07:27:06

...because she's one of them too but she doesn't even know it?

I agree, I was wondering if Claire is getting immune to the violence after her last attempt on Joe and Munchausen by proxy will kick in on the boat.

PetiteRaleuse Sat 27-Apr-13 08:39:03

Stockholm syndrome you mean?

Arrrgh! blush Double doh! Yes, that's what I meant. smile

DevlinMaccabee Sat 27-Apr-13 22:16:38

Stockholm or Munchausens, she's still a fuckwit!

RhondaJean Sun 28-Apr-13 09:06:08

Maybe my season two fantasy isn't so far off the mark after all!

I cannot wait for Tuesday grin

Me too!

whatwoulddexterdo Mon 29-Apr-13 16:24:33

Sorry I am a bit late to the party but i think Joe will make Ryan choose between him saving Claire or the FBI woman, sorry can't remember her name.

DevlinMaccabee Tue 30-Apr-13 22:57:30

Oh my God!!

RhondaJean Tue 30-Apr-13 22:58:53

Omfg noooooooooo they cannot leave it like that!

cocolepew Tue 30-Apr-13 22:58:58

PetiteRaleuse Tue 30-Apr-13 23:00:08

No they can't do that Ffs noooooo

HolyFocaccia Tue 30-Apr-13 23:01:21

Arrrgh nooooo

cocolepew Tue 30-Apr-13 23:04:53

Noooo you don't want a spoiler shock

PetiteRaleuse Tue 30-Apr-13 23:56:02

I can get it here or wikipedia...

EauRouge Wed 01-May-13 09:15:58

Spoilers in my post

Well that's set it up nicely for series 2! I think Emma will become the new cult leader as revenge for Joe's death. I'm struggling to remember who else is still alive though, apart from Maggie.

JambalayaCodfishPie Wed 01-May-13 12:06:10

That was Emma, in the bar crying wasn't it? In a wig and glasses? Couldn't tell!

EauRouge Wed 01-May-13 13:41:01

Yes, that was her.

So Emma and Molly are still alive, unless Ryan or Claire somehow survived and got her.....

Poor Debra.

sad About Debra Parker, that is one I my worst fears by far!

Nicely set for season 2, just Emma and Molly and the blonde guy that helped burry Debra left alive I think, plus the 7 in custody that Mike mentioned... If Ryan and Claire are dead maybe he will go seek revenge on the cult members left?

Yes, Weston was alive so he might be in the next one. I was wrong about Debra and him!

Word on the grapevine is next season gives Emma and Weston a lot more screen time. smile

EauRouge Wed 01-May-13 14:27:24

Oh, do I mean Molly and not Maggie? I don't even know their names grin Anyway, the one that was Kevin Bacon's neighbour and was also in the cult thing <vague>.

PetiteRaleuse Wed 01-May-13 14:27:30

Ryan and Claire can't be dead I read that they are signed up for series two

SilverSky Wed 01-May-13 15:42:15

Ooooh good cliff hanger ending!

I don't believe Joe is dead. I met be deluded but I don't believe it.

BornInACrossFireHurricane Fri 03-May-13 09:36:38

I thought I read on here that claire and joe had been signed up for the next season- is it in fact claire and KB instead then? Is joe really dead?! I think it would be abit crap if he did survive as it wouldn't be realistic like the rest of the show obviously has been

PetiteRaleuse Fri 03-May-13 09:44:57
loofet Sat 04-May-13 20:42:30

Ending totally predictable. It's such a shame because it started off so good and just dwindled. Too many cliches, as soon as Ryan said he'd take Claire back to his it was obvious the neighbour would do that.

Joe's probably not dead which irl wouldn't be at all possible. Claire might die and Ryan live.. bleurgh. Probably will give season 2 a miss, total overkill.

KB looked handsome in the series though which worried me a little grin

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots Sat 04-May-13 23:02:04

Some fucknugget has spent a few years getting dental work to match joe's knashers, all so he could stage his own death. It's just beyond ridiculous to get a 2nd series out of this. It was a one series concept at best and even then they've stretched it beyond the limits of believability. To drag it on just makes no sense to anyone other than one of the fruit loops who follow that nutter joe.
