...anyone? I am astounded.
I'm watching. And yes I'm astounded too. Terry (?) may not be worried that it's costing the NHS £250 a day to keep him there whilst he cheats on his diet but as a taxpayer I'm bloody furious!
Me, too. I am glad they are making the woman who locks herself away at the weekends and binges get psychiatric help before any surgery.
As a taxpayer whose daughter can't get her surgery on the NHS I am steaming!!!
he's really not doing himself any favours...
Ah well it looks like he's losing weight so that's money well spent then.
. And Deborah is brilliant!
yes, deborah was fab
The 47 stone man said the fact that his bed was costing the NHS £250 a day 'wasn't his problem' and it wasn't costing him anything. Is it this stupid, 'not my fault' mentality that gets them obese in the first place? Using childhood trauma as a reason is doubtful too, imo. Too much food in, fat on - so simple, as the consultant said last night.
The guy who was buying chocolate whilst on the ward should have been sent home and allowed to carry on eating.
I work with drug and alcohol users and the psychology behind lying to the people trying to help you is exactly the same for them as for the very obese people who are in denial about the consequences.
In my opinion they should be left to get on with living the consequences of their shitty choices until they are prepared to deal with things.
Save the £250 a day NHS beds for those who want to help themselves. People need to meet the doctors half way. I was disgusted to see that confectionary trolley allowed on the ward. The consultant said if he had his way that trolley would not be on the ward. So why isn't he listened to? So stupid. Would you have alcohol or illeagal drugs being walked up and down the ward of someone in rehab?
Ok, so we need £4K of NHS money. I may pop up to that hospital and suggest a redirection of funds
i watched this and was
and
angry that some really abuse the system
sad that they got that fat to began with
the girl who had her band removed as had lost 5 lbs in think 6mths, thats cos she was eating curry
did feel sorry for the 47 stone dad who didnt fit through his bathroom, but then was wondering where he went to wash, let alone pee and poo??
and his kids were on the verge of being fat and overweight as well
vicious circle tbh
Abarexics do same kind of things. Starve tbemselves, lie, waste time, NHS money.
Are you angry with us talking about this chap Sole? It was just the way he was so offhand about the fact that it was costing £250 a day to keep him in hospital and yet he felt he had a right to cheat. So many people deserve and really need that kind of treatment yet he was obviously abusing it. Anorexia is hideous and I feel, having had problems with eating myself, something much more difficult to treat. So many anorexics are sort of forced to get help, but this man had asked for it but wasn't prepared to work at it - just really cocky - that's what got me.
I totally agree his comments were very ignorant.
I guess angry at prejudice I have suffered in past, even though I have not read any prejudice here on this tgread I just wanted to state that anarexics are guilty of tbe reverse.
I am really big, comfort eat and killing myself with it.
Having not much in my life to distract me I comfort eat.
I'm sorry
Part 2 on in a mo
Wow, the taxi driver is really manly! Sounds like she's had a really sad childhood, poor woman.
And that's why many people over eat
To block out the sad times
Geoff has ball inside the balloon??
Yes. Weird
I read many years ago the ball inside the balloon is the best method. Stops balloon expanding??
Thanks Blonde
I really like Sarah and Jeff, they're great! The other woman is a knob.
Sarah's doing so well
Sarah made me really happy
I hope she and Carol stay together. I may have welled up a bit when she climbed the hill...
Lovely ending.
