I am hooked too! My fav was OC, but NYC is also addictive. I record it (as I work full time) and then watch it as chill time in the evenings. Ramona is so out of control, Kelly seems a bit spaced out (meds maybe?) Jill is so full of what she owns. I do feel sorry for her D though.

I kind of liked Simon and is very skinny wife who somehow had a modelling contract. They genuinely were into each other and had kind hearts. They also werent as uptight as the rest.

I never got Bethanny, loved her at first but then when she left and married that bloke which was clearly a stunt to get a show out of it/get pregnant, I went right off her. I cant watch her new show.

I loved Jill. Remind me again why she fell out with Bethanny? was it to do with her husband having cancer?

dont forget its half scripted!!! It was the way she kept dropping hints about how terrible her past was as if she'd had the worst upbrining in the world. It got on my nerves when she had clearly had a privaleged upbringing compared to anything we know. And the way the nanny was shoved on a single bed in the tiny nursery and how she was one minute saying how she was family and the next she's nowhere to be seen. Brilliant figure though.

I loved it when they showed Lu Ann (money can't buy you class)'s 11 year old son dipping his croissant in OJ and chewing open-mouthed...this after she foisted her not-asked-for opionions on a group of young girls about table etiquette....

I've heard Chic C'est La Vie. The first series of RHNYC I saw was series 4, annoyingly. Then I saw 1, 2, and am watching 3 now.

The pretentiousness of Simon and Alex boasting about their sons ability to speak French yet whenever they asked them to speak it, the kids refused...

And they boasted about being fluent themselves but when they took the boys to a French owned cafe for brunch and spoke to the waiting staff (strangers) they addressed them with the informal 'Tu' instead of 'Vous' which you just do not do. Instantly showed them up to be less than conversant in French.

Apparently Luanne was very 'free' during her marriage regarding other men....

I thought they seemed to be friendly with the staff in the French café, so it seemed ok that they used 'tu'. Also, my DC speak French and also refuse whenever anyone asks them to do it.

Simon and Alex are still pretentious, though

It's not terribly polite to refer to staff as 'Tu' when speaking on behalf of young children. Also when ordering 'Vous' is better because it shows respect for the professional role of Garcon which the French see as having a much higher status than it does in some other countries.

Oh I LOVE it too! It is my guilty pleasure..... i sit there with my mouth open absolutely appalled (and delighted) at how ghastly these women are!!! I can never think if any actually are nice people- Alexis maybe- but the others...? No way. Even Bethenny is not a very nice person. But i agree about Kelly. I think she is genuinely unwell and the show exploits it a bit, so I try not to watch her bits. Theyr epeated the infamnous breakdown the other day and i knew it was coming so turned it off and did something more worthwhile (briefly).

And the arrogance and self-regard of 'The Countess' is cringe-worthy. (But I love her style and body and that husky voice!)

I was laughing the other day at Ramona who was mortally offended because the Countess walked through a door first.

I've just seen the episode where LuAnn 'sings' her awful single. Oh dear god, has she no shame? Her kids must hate her. Kelly obviously has mental health issues, but her affected high pitched 'hi' when she greets people at parties grates on me like nothing else.

Did anyone watch Beverly Hills on Bio? In series 1 Camille Grammer (Kelsey's ex wife) is so up herself she actually makes LuAnn look humble.

I just caught up with two episodes yesterday.

What i don't get is that a lot of these women have degrees and masters, one went to Vassar etc yet when they talk they are boring as fuck and ignorant. There is just no intellect on display at all. Then they all screech at the same time "But you said this to X and then Y said..." repeatedly, like groundhog day.

At least Ramona and Sonja are quite entertaining in their drunken awfulness. Blonde Steve Tyler is so self obsessed. Brown Steve Tyler seems quite sweet and normal.

Do you know what? Im still on St Barts when Aviva and her husband came. I have found myself pressing fast forward through all the screeching and hardly catching any of it. Its so tedious to watch. No wonder my friends cant get into it. Im sure it wasnt like this previous seasons.

I was glad to see the recap of the initial conversation concerning the vacation; It was not sold as a girl's week. Carole said that she had a holiday home so that she could catch up with her bf and go to his concert. I think Ramonja understand like the comic 'What we say to dogs and what they hear'. They think because they want a girl's week, that is what should happen.

I liked Carole's response " Ramona got the memo; she liked the memo and decided to ignore the memo when it interfered with her drinking". My Ds is still poorly and the silver lining is that I can read Carole's blogs.

There are only about 3 episodes left. There are 2 parts to the reunion and an unseen footage episode. Carole and Heather are great antidotes to the madeness and hypocrasy of the other three. I love this series.

I'd be offended if I were Sonja that Aviva thought she'd go for George tbh. Ordinarily I find Sonja painful but I did feel very very sorry for her when she came back from the solicitors meeting. She obviously hoped that her ex would see her and at the very least be kinder to her if not fall madly back in love. She's pining for a failed marriage and a lost lifestyle, not nice.

I think that Sonja's husband was quite a bit older and loaded so maybe it wasn't a stretch for Aviva to think that her dad might be sonja's type.

Is Sonia trying to overturn a prenup do you think? She talked of verbal agreements made before their daughter was conceived. Maybe being on this show is doing her no favours with her ex? She's such a funny mixture. Ramona is just foul. Sonia has potential but is very weak in character.
