I don't care either way? Also I have seen him interviewed lately and he seemed very distant... Do you think he has a cherished past and some awful secret that will eventually be revealed? Bugging me?

lborolass Sat 22-Oct-11 23:08:12

Justin of Colin and Justin? Pretty sure he's gay and married/civil partnered.

LeBOOOf Sat 22-Oct-11 23:08:49

Justin who?

nancy75 Sat 22-Oct-11 23:10:31

surely op means mt tumble Justin, patron saint of cbeebies?

shineypenny Sat 22-Oct-11 23:11:54

Colin and Justin are a couple - have been for over 20 years

lborolass Sat 22-Oct-11 23:14:34

If its cbeebies I have no idea but no doubt google will have the answer.

25kilopumpkin Sat 22-Oct-11 23:22:43

I meant St Justin of tumble and Wikepedia doesn't say... Who are Colin and Justin? Sorry blush

nailak Sat 22-Oct-11 23:32:36

who is colin?

do you think justin has sen that are unseen?

nailak Sat 22-Oct-11 23:33:30

Vampirecella Sat 22-Oct-11 23:33:57

If you don't care either way, why on earth are you asking? grin

lborolass Sat 22-Oct-11 23:34:47

Justin and Colin are interior designers/TV presenters, pretty well known as a couple. I don't know if any of their programmes are currently on but at one time you couldn't turn on the TV without seeing them.

curlyredhair Sat 22-Oct-11 23:44:20

Read somewhere that he lives alone with his cat so I'm assuming gay. But why on earth does it matter? He's lovely. Gay, straight, who cares?

25kilopumpkin Sat 22-Oct-11 23:45:19

Vampirella, sorry I don't care but I am nosey!

25kilopumpkin Sat 22-Oct-11 23:47:49

Sorry I do know Colin and Justin now u say it. Nope, not them. It's just, Justin Fletcher now has Justins house to add to everything else and I honestly expect him to leap out of my farking wardrobe soon. It's getting sinister...

kipperandtiger Sun 23-Oct-11 00:03:22

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/bbc/7914290/Justin-Fletcher-childrens-television-presenter.html

Maybe he's just too busy?

25kilopumpkin Sun 23-Oct-11 00:09:59

Thanks Kipper, the two cats clear it up. Hope he's happy smile DD loves him. I need to get a grip.

kipperandtiger Sun 23-Oct-11 00:23:05

Bet his bank loves him too. He must be the richest person in the CBeebies department! I don't really like his stuff, although Something Special is not too bad. We're more into Postman Pat and Octonauts.

smokinaces Sun 23-Oct-11 00:29:13

I'm pretty sure someone I know met him and his girlfriend out for lunch one time. Pretty sure he's not gay.

whattheactualjeff Sun 23-Oct-11 00:32:00

I don't think he is gay as IIRC an mnetter once said she used to date him. smile hth

25kilopumpkin Sun 23-Oct-11 05:17:04

Why, btw, can I not ask thus without people ASSUMING some nasty opinion behind it? I just wondered that's all? Probably because he seems entirely asexual which is a good thing overall, unlike some other presenters who are quite fit really...

Sid (cbeebies), sporticus (actor not character), Andy(cbeebies) and a childless friend regulary fantasises about Mister Maker? I am informed that Nina is fit as well!

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere Sun 23-Oct-11 17:12:33

What is nasty about wondering if someone is straight or gay????

Or even so, what is nasty about assuming someone is straight???

Or what is nasty about assuming someone is gay???

confused

25kilo I laughed aloud at your comment!

Justin is great, DS loves him.

BlowHole Sun 23-Oct-11 17:36:27

God how I hat Justin's house! Don't know about his sexuality though.

25kilopumpkin Sun 23-Oct-11 19:33:51

AllIwantisaroomsomewhere er, exactly what I meant, I just felt like people might be assuming I had a problem with it.. OH FOR GODS SAKE this is exactly the discussion I wanted to avoid, I'm making it bloody worse now HA HA HA! I just wanted to know, I was curious s'all.

aware I sound dimented....aaaaaaaaanywaaaaay, I just can't imagine him with kids of his own somehow, although I am sure he would be lovely etc etc, I actually cant imagine him doing anything "normal" as, for me, he lives in tumbleville or whatever anyway, which incidentally is the same place as they used to film "The prisoner" I think, rather sinisterly, er, Port Merion?
Oh god does no one see what I mean? thank you and goodnight, its been a looong day x

Saltire Sun 23-Oct-11 20:54:29

I saw him on BBC news the other day and I got all excited and said to my mum "ooh I think he's really good, I love Something Special" and she looked at me and said "Saltire, you're 41 with a teenager and an 11 year old" grin

Bellini12 Sun 23-Oct-11 22:23:41

He's straight. My best friend went to drama college with him. Liked chasing the ladies by all accounts! But very driven now. We love him in our house (though my kids got to meet him & were very non-plussed!)

LottieJenkins Sun 23-Oct-11 22:38:59

Im sure there was someone on here in the last year who 'fessed up to having gone out with Justin! confused

ronx Sun 23-Oct-11 22:44:06

I thought that 'confession' was a figment of her imagination. wink

LynetteScavo Sun 23-Oct-11 22:49:21

From what I have heard he is straight.

But he isn't very fancyable, unlike a lot of gay men...which confused some women.

Ladies, just because you don't want to shag a bloke, doesn't mean he's gay.

Housewife2010 Mon 24-Oct-11 07:04:02

There was a fab thread on MN about a year ago when an ex lover of the Hallowed Justin's told all! Apparently he likes big boobies & is very good with his hands! They'd broken up because he was very busy with his career. Unfortunately the next day she felt guilty & had the thread wiped. It was a very excitinig thread!

whippetgrey Mon 24-Oct-11 12:57:21

the thread was a wind-up.

Housewife2010 Mon 24-Oct-11 23:10:01

What makes you think that?

GothAnneGeddes Tue 25-Oct-11 03:18:17

Noooo! I loved that thread, it was brilliant! Especially as there were several posters with an obsessive crush on Justin egging the ex on.

headofthehouse Sat 18-Feb-12 19:08:31

Enough of this nonsense. I have personally known Justin for nearly twenty years and consider him one of my closest friends. HE IS NOT GAY. He has had a number of long-term girlfriends since I've known him but it has never worked out. Mostly, I believe, because he is so committed to his work that his personal life has suffered as a result. Justin is one of the kindest, most caring people that I know and I value our friendship greatly.

VickityBoo Sat 18-Feb-12 19:09:38

I thought he had a child who has special needs? That's what I heard anyway!

VickityBoo Sat 18-Feb-12 19:11:12

Oooooh excited about someone knowing Justin oooh oooh ooh can you get him to come to our house gringringringringringrin

minceorotherwise Sat 18-Feb-12 19:16:49

I'd go there
But...i'd have 'hello hello' running through my head on a constant loop.
T'would prob put me off....

GettinTrimmer Sat 18-Feb-12 20:35:53

Well, my friend fancies him, she thinks he'd make a great dad.

I know Justin is very well regarded for being brilliant telly for special needs children, I watch him as I am starting to learn makaton signing.

The Justin's Ex thread was ace (was it deleted?). Someone posted about their massive and verging on hysterical Justin crush. Proper filthy. Someone claiming to be an ex of Justin's turned up and waxed lyrical about their romantic past. I think at one point she called him a gentle lover or something very like it grin.

She was about to contact him on FB I think, when it all went pfft. It's more than possible that Gentle Lover Woman was delusional but I think the Crush Lady was real enough worryingly.

I've gone off Justin (as a presenter, I never fancied him. To be clear). Justin's House in particular is very self-indulgent I think.

minceorotherwise Sat 18-Feb-12 21:29:34

Yes Sue, I bet he has that sign on his house too.

It's making me slightly ranty grin. I watched one with DD yesterday, it was him making vaguely adult jokes (not smutty, just not for kids), singing love songs to Jodie Prenger and doing numbers from Oliver with her with a few falling over moments chucked in for the teenies. Who looked bored and manic, simultaneously.
Even Something Special has been infiltrated with his favourite 'Cliff Tumble' and Boris Becker impressions. Why would a 3yo know/care about Cliff bloody Richard?

Of course, it's possible I'm overthinking this wink

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 11:07:36

not overthinking about this at all Sue

it's on chez Mare right now and it's making me feel stabby angry

if he does that flappy/shakey/wibbly jowls face once more i might have to open the gin

minceorotherwise Sun 19-Feb-12 11:07:39

I always get the impression on cbeebies that the other presenters are thinking, 'oh no it's tumble again' ... Whenever they do something together
However, I do accept I am spending way too much time watching cbeebies

Nick jnr is way better

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 11:08:23

grin @ mince

FaithHopeAndKevin Sun 19-Feb-12 11:11:29

It's on at the moment. That Robot is clearly planning on splatting him about the head with one of those frying pans. The audience is the only thing holding him back.

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 11:12:54

'Robert' is wishing he'd taken that part in Red Dwarf after all grin

Yes, there's something a bit cringy about him writing a show for himself with all that 'we love Justin' stuff.

Never catch Lovely Chris at that kind of shameless self-promotion.

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 16:17:29

<swoons at lovely Chris>

he really is lovely, i've touched him <leers>

minceorotherwise Sun 19-Feb-12 18:30:25

Ahem...just noticed he is Mr Tumble MBE
As you were
Curtseys

MBE? Lawks.

But I do love what he did with Something Special. It's just that it feels as if he's a leeeetle big for his boots nowadays.

ThePathanKhansWitch Sun 19-Feb-12 18:56:20

Jane where exactly have you touched him? <smutty cahh> smile

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 19:02:22

we brushed finger tips as he handed over his signed photograph after one of the roadshows over a table grin

BertieBotts Sun 19-Feb-12 19:02:33

I can't stand Justin's House, or Gigglebiz or the other ones. Something Special is ace because he's not going over the top with it, I suppose some of the Tumble characters are, but generally it's a small dose which is okay.

Someone said once on one of these threads that Robert has a scary crush on Justin and one day is going to realise he has no chance and go postal grin so I can bear it now while sniggering at the thought of that.

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 19:07:53

that's made me really L.O.L Bertie grin

the robot having a huge hissy fit grin

ThePathanKhansWitch Sun 19-Feb-12 19:18:32

Jane fingertips! Romantic, he is deelish.

Bertie grin Robert is so in love, you can just tell, can't you?.

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 19:22:12

I've not stopped swooning ever since TPKW grin

he's even more lovely IRL. Pui was pretty cool too but i didn't fancy her

ThePathanKhansWitch Sun 19-Feb-12 19:24:32

Pui always looks a bit like she'd rather be anywhere else sometimes smile.

JaneMare Sun 19-Feb-12 19:40:57

she was pretty lovely tbh, i don't think pregnancy agreed with her, she looked really uncomfortable in the 'Show Me Show Me's they recorded sad

AThingInYourLife Sun 19-Feb-12 19:51:33

I think Pui is fab.

But I have a special place in my heart for Sid [swoon]

Loved Something Special and thought Justin was a genius until the abomination that is Justin's House hit our screens.

charmed6266 Sun 11-Mar-12 23:15:23

Lol, love this thread :-)
Do you mind if I join the group?
I was gutted I missed the opportunity to meet Justin when he was signing his new album in our area. But a friend met him with her newborn and shared a pic. She said he was lovely :-)

Yourefired Sun 11-Mar-12 23:35:49

One of our DDs won a trip to the ceebies studio. Including meeting a presenter. They (DD2 and DH) got Andy. DH chatted to him, as you do, and he raved about Justin. Along the lines of he sets the tone for the channel and he is a increadibly talented person the way he can connect with people, and genuinely cares about it. DH went instead of me for annual leave reasons and didn't have a clue who anyone was, so can't think he was projecting anything onto the conversation. No info on Justin's sexuality there. But can confirm that Andy is straight given another part of the conversation relayed back to me from DH.

GothAnneGeddes Mon 12-Mar-12 01:46:42

Yourefired - Am very envy at your Dh meeting Andy. I have to restrain myself from tweeting filth to him, he is lovely.

GothAnneGeddes Mon 12-Mar-12 01:49:44

Yourefired - Am very envy at your Dh meeting Andy. I have to restrain myself from tweeting filth to him, he is lovely.

Soulysercher Mon 02-Apr-12 14:26:35

i hope you dont mind me joining! i would give Justin one! me and my friend we watching it the other day (well it was on the tv when we put the kids down for a nap) and we decided he would be a right dirty bugger, lol he is too "sweet and innocent"

whatkungfuthat Mon 02-Apr-12 21:53:07

I am so sorry but I misread the post from the person who knows him as "he never worked out" instead of "it never worked out" and have spent the last 10 mins guffawing <hangs head in shame>

LucyFarinelli Thu 05-Apr-12 22:47:05

Sorry, but in my book it has to be Mr Bloom.--melt, melt, melt--

CarryOnMatron Thu 05-Apr-12 23:02:04

whatkungfuthat I thought it said that too blush

charmed6266 Sun 22-Apr-12 22:55:13

I'd love to work with mr bloom, but I'm afraid he's not "rocking my boat" lol

charmed6266 Sun 22-Apr-12 23:21:00

Ok. To all the ladies on mumsnet who have actually met Justin and claim to be friends with him. Is there a way to invite Justin back to mumsnet? Or contact him somehow?
I'm not psychotic, or a stalker, I'm just curious and nosey and I have about 100 questions that I would absolutely love to ask him, like interview style, you know? Only I'm not a reporter.

If you are genuinely friends with Justin, can you please ask him that for me :-)
And tell him I can pay back with chocolate cake, lol (if he likes cakes).

ebbandflow Mon 23-Apr-12 10:02:28

I would think Justin was straight, Chris on the otherhand....

charmed6266 Mon 23-Apr-12 16:27:51

A very good friend of mine, claims to have a fail proof gay-dar grin and she is convinced that they're both as gay as it gets.
But like others have said, it doesn't matter.

UserNameNotAvailable Mon 23-Apr-12 20:14:05

Justin irritates the shit outta me! My kids love him though. However I would love to do him.....IN grin

Did anyone watch The Undateables on channel 4 (second episode I think) the man on there HAS to be related to Justin, he was the absolute spit of him and apparently Justin has a brother.

EdlessAllenPoe Mon 23-Apr-12 20:18:46

Justin..i would go for 'weird fish fetishist'

over gay or straight personally.

that's my bet.

total and unfounded speculation on my part though!

notahappycamper Mon 23-Apr-12 23:35:11

We had the misfortune to go to a recording of some of Justin's House. The kids were begging to leave. Horrendous afternoon. The kids expected him to be all singing but when cameras were off he didnt engage with the children. Which is fair enough but they were disappointed. And he was eyeing up one of the gorgeous helpers in our group - boke

boringnickname Mon 23-Apr-12 23:37:10

i dont know , but my DPs money is on him shafting Sarah Jane, which means my DP doesnt like justin (well he does actually) becaue he rather wishes HE was slipping some to Sarah Jane (the cow)

boringnickname Mon 23-Apr-12 23:38:35

nothappycamper - you have shattered all my illusions, but there is a part of me that isnt surprised, maybe he was porking SJ after all

boringnickname Mon 23-Apr-12 23:39:04

but i think he is asexual, because actually coulnt imagine anyone wanting to do it with him

charmed6266 Wed 25-Apr-12 23:46:26

notahappycamper - why couldn't you just leave? on some of the episodes there are plenty of empty seats.
boringnickname - look for some older threads on Justin. you'd be amazed at how many lonely mothers would be willing to do "it" with him grin

WandaDoff Thu 26-Apr-12 00:04:30

I found this one.

Most of the good stuff is long gone. sad

charmed6266 Fri 27-Apr-12 20:49:03

Yeah, I think that's the one. Shame that the girl got scammed but seriously, how convincing one has to be to make believe that he was actually JF? I don't think he'd ever dare reading these posts!

fabsi Wed 02-May-12 09:44:43

Oh oh let me join in! Me and my ds adore justin. Me and a friend took him to watch cbeebies live and justin was fantastic. It looked to me like he loves what he does and the children. I totally get you notahappycamper, he has definitely got an eye for the ladies. My best friend is gorgeous and he was eyeing her up too. So my official guess is he is straight. Don't care either way but he is popular in our house grin)

fabsi Wed 02-May-12 09:47:55

Although i would like to add - i would NOT do it with him. Standards ladies?

scarlettbeau Sun 06-May-12 18:22:56

My 2yr old loves Justin but not as much as his mummy. My husband does really good impressions of him and i have asked if he would dress up as Mr Tumble, but thats a step too far maybe. So glad im not alone in having a crush on him.

realhousewifeofdevoncounty Sun 06-May-12 18:24:36

Mr tumble is not lovely, he gives me the creeps!

notahappycamper Sun 06-May-12 21:08:13

charmed - we came on a coach and had no other way to get home otherwise I would have gone!
fabsi yy standards please!

fabsi Wed 09-May-12 09:43:53

scarlettbeau - You Really didn't just say that!!
Shudders.
any kind of childrens tv presenter should not be thought of in that kind of way.
I really do give up if people seriously think justin or mr tumble are, well, do-able!
Please, ladies. Take a good long hard look at your lives. And ask yourself
WHY?

mcfee Wed 09-May-12 09:54:06

Yes OK fabsi but have you seem Sid in his swim shorts?!grin

fabsi Wed 09-May-12 10:03:42

hmm @ mcfee
Just feels a tad bit....
WRONG!
I am sure some of the childrens presenters are a more accpetable crush than mr tumble.
BUT EVEN SO!
He's on now. Just the thought makes me want to heave.

fabsi Wed 09-May-12 10:08:04

Don't get me wrong though - he is wonderful with the kiddies isn't he?
So natural.
I bet he wouldn't have a clue in bed!

Gafaws at
"I say goodbye, i'm happy that you came"

grin

I would, Justin is hot. Ok, I need to get out more

But he'd get it

fabsi Thu 21-Jun-12 10:28:13

Oh dear stackingtheshelves confused
I have just posted on the other justin thread, that me and my son got the chance to meet him yesterday.
He shattered all of our illusions.
Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to an off day. I sincerely hope this was an off day!
But he could have made more of an effort with people.
He looked.... Sad. And pissed off to be there!
Maybe he is overworked? He is on or involved with mostly EVERYTHING that is cbeebies. Not sure, but anyway. He was as miserable as sin.

eden263 Fri 19-Apr-13 02:30:32

I love these Justin threads! I only come on here every year or so, specifically to check them out, and I always end up laughing out loud! smile I was on that Justin thread for a while too, it was rather fun at the time.

I'm kind of starting to despise him a little now, he does seem to think the sun shines out of his arse. He's ruined himself. Justin's House makes me want to throw things, it's like bad panto. The recent live show was a horrendous disappointment. Yet I still fancy Mr Tumble. Yes, that's right. Not Justin, Mr T. Help me. I think I'm actually just going insane as DD has the effing 'Hands Up and catch all the lovely money showering down on you, you CBeebies whore' album on ALL the time in the car. Justin sings techno, bahahahahahahahahahah....

That said, bizarrely, I still would. Ooh, I would. blush

PuffPants Fri 19-Apr-13 03:03:25

I've only seen this Tumble character a couple of times and found it very creepy... I think it was the voice and the gurning.

SinisterBuggyMonth Fri 19-Apr-13 09:12:40

Ohhhhh 50 shades of tumble thread from last year? I've allready spotted 2 of you on here!

(waves)

marjproops Sun 05-May-13 18:15:54

We love Cliff Tuble! and DC knows exactly who the real Cliff is, shes got good music taste!

felixthemoggy Tue 21-May-13 14:39:21

I'm also a Mr Tumble fan, so much that I've started to have dreams about him living with us - not sure what the other half would have to say about that ! blush I agree with others that Justin himself is getting too big for his boots and that Justin's House is just a self indulgent show for him to show off, maybe it's time for him to air a new character called Mr Humble and have him brought down a peg or two!

DuchessofMalfi Tue 21-May-13 18:38:57

grin at Mr Humble, felix grin

Abymol Sun 22-Sep-13 11:38:39

I think I went back to work to avoid justin. Something special was good to start with but not so much now with all the new characters. It seems more about him than the kids now. Justin's house is awful and just a we love me trip. Giggle biz now that is worse than the chuckle brothers by a zillion times. And that face is definatly slappable. But that's just my opinion

eden263 Fri 25-Oct-13 22:37:29

I do have to laugh at those of you who say he has an eye for the ladies....Hellooo, he's a man! What man doesn't eye up pretty ladies, especially if they're doing the 5th take of something they've already rehearsed a load of times and the pretty lady is sat in front of them? Doesn't make him some kind of letch, lol! There are plenty of us ladies eyeing up the CBeebies presenters while we're zoning out with the kids!

Still want to throw stuff at Justin's House though, I can't believe he could be such a whopping great egotist. It really is a big 'oooh, ooh, look how special I am' show. Saw him live on Sunday in his singing & dancing show thingy & he wasn't a bit like that, he was just having a lovely time, having a big party with everyone. Maybe the cameras make him go a bit wappy. Or maybe the director tells him to act like a megalomaniac that.

Karl67 Fri 06-Jun-14 09:59:12

I just want to add a comment, due to the fact that some people have asked if Justin Fletcher is gay or married!.........Justin was actually married, but sadly split from his wife nearly two years ago...also Justin has an award from the Queen for his contribution towards children's t.v.....a very talented man,who shows a lot of empathy towards those children he has starring on his t.v series.....well done Justin, keep the good work up;your programmes are enjoyable and good from a learning point!
