Am watching it on C4 +1
this is the worst one yet surely?
Did the guy just throw up when he left half way through his cooked breakfast?

I haven't seen tonight's but when I've watched it in the past I'm sure that the doctor is a little bit leery with some of the skinny women
Not sure what to make of it all really!

Can someone explain this programme to me please? I only watched the first half so I don't really see what the point of it is - I mean, fat person swaps diet with thin person but as they both have terrible diets, they're not much better off are they? Wouldn't it be better to make them both eat a good diet?

DforDiva · 20/02/2008 10:05

i agree, i think its not very safe health wise, swapping diet over.

Gillian Mckeith is trying to be Gok Wan - she will never be. He makes women feel good about themselves, a skill I don't think she find particularly easy

LOL. Except when she makes people feel good by default because they think to themselves 'I'd rather be fat than a horrible sour-faced scrawny old hag like her.'

agree it's totally irresponsible programming. i only saw the one last week with teh woman who thought eating nothign but pasta with garlic and bananas would stop her from aging.

it's yet more cheap and nasty programming, leeching off the lives of the unfortunate and sometimes mentally ill. horrible.

So is that really it then?
I had sort of assumed that the second half of the programme would be about how actually whether you are under- or overweight wasn't the only issue and they could both improve their diets by eating healthier food.... Please tell me it at least attempted to do that!

My Dh said that
I lose more than half a kg when I go for a poo
I giggled the programme is shit in the extreme, irresponsible at worst
It could have been a very important programme, instead it catered for dummies at the expense of the people on it. I am pretty sure the lass on it last week said she was pursuing Endemol legally for misrepresentation... its on mn somewhere, 3 of the skinny women have all, posted on mn on that thread

Ah thank you Piffle, have found the thread you mention.

That would suggest our Gillian is even more of a tart than I had ever imagined, then.

Last week, the 35st man only lost a stone in 3 months - he should have lost that stone in the first TWO WEEKS of his diet when he left the "clinic"!!! They can't even be getting proper nutritional/dieting help after if that's how slow he's losing it
