Any WW addicts?? If only Bartlet was running today, eh?

Anyway, apart from the obvious, how did Toby manage to get his ex pg with twins?? I have no memory of this storyline at all. Can anyone help?

I think they must have been frozen embryos from when they were married. The flashbacks in the episode where she became pregnant suggested that strain over all this was the reason for their breaking up.

I mean, they tried IVF when they were married. It coincided with Bartlett's inauguration.

Thank you for clearing that up. I had been wondering. Quite a lot, as it happens.

Those twins never sat well with me either. What happened to the poet?

I lost the poet too. In fact, I think I may have missed a whole series. Still, it feels more like a fantast show every time I see Bush.

Or even a fantasy show.

You have not missed a series, I gave up with C4 schedules last year and now watch at my own pace, 1 disk (4 episodes) at a time, Luxury!

OK, thanks for clearing up the twins thing. Now ... poet?

Which poet?

That poet he had a snog with, didn't he, a while back? Lefty type. I liked her

Toby did? I must have missed that one.

Oh yes. Although I find it hard to imagine Toby as an object of passion, I have to say. Not with Josh around [sigh]

I thought Mrs B was looking a bit hunched and odd the other day (haven't seen Friday's yet, though). Mind you, I suppose when you've been a Pink Lady it takes it out of you.

Josh, oh come on. Toby is the one for me. All that middle-aged angst, which falls away when he gets all idealistic. And am I the only one to hate Josh's fast-talking, turbo-feminist ex-girlfriend? And I'm a feminist.

motherinferior · 02/11/2004 16:14

Actually I hate her too. And find her quite unconvincing, although that is perhaps because I've never managed to combine principles with pouting babe-hood and am sitting here in my slippers rather than kitten heels. She did what can be done to put me off Josh.

I don't remeber Toby snogging anyone!! Honestly, I'm sure I've not missed any since mid 2nd season when I got hooked. Maybe there's just too much going on for my brain to take in!!
I think I'm fairly neutral on the Josh v Toby thing. Quite liked Amy though (did they split up? You said "ex", oldiemum. God, I'm useless!!).
Also found Mrs. B and the scissors hilarious.

I can't stand her either. When are Josh and Donna going to realise that they're made for each other? I also love Josh.

Report
motherinferior · 02/11/2004 16:24

Donna is also much much brighter and funnier than the substandard Naomi Woolfette.

Report

no! Donna does way too much pouting!

Josh's ex has the most wierd jaw movements. She seems to speak without moving her lower jaw.

His is worth better! Me, for example!

Report
motherinferior · 02/11/2004 16:56

Rob Lowe's jaw also v odd, in overly cosmeticised way if you ask me.

Josh looks compact and hassled and swoonworthy if you ask me...

A friend of mine was walking around NY and there in the street was the actor who plays Josh. She had to physically prevent herself from saying 'Hi, Josh!'. A tribute to his acting ability.

I miss Ainslie, though she's looking really good in CSI Miami
