Bit old now (tues?), but just had to post. Did anyone see it? If not look on catch up tv for a prime example of dignity in death (towards end of programme) That old man was so intelligent and pragmatic and dignified I just had to cry about it all. The most moving thing Ive seen for ages.

me too - I cried. Don;t often at TV programmes - he seemed so nice didn;t he? Its just seemed so barbaric somehow just to say - sorry we're just going to let you die. I know there was no realistic choice but still...

Another one here! I only caught the last 10 mins or so of the programme but this really touched me, especially when he was talking about what a good life he had had - such a brave man. Poor Dh wandered in and found me in floods of tears.
