ER Season finale - soooo disappointing..............

I was expecting to be left in bits at the imminent departure of the lovely Kovac - but no - he just drove off in a taxi!!! WTF!!!

As for the rest - what a load of anti-war nonsense.

Will be tempted to not watch the next series, I mean whos left worth watching??

I gave up on ER 3 episodes in. Haven't a clue what's happened. I'm watching the old ones on More4.
It all went downhill after Carter left IMHO. (although Expat will be shouting 'About blardy time' as she despised Carter!)

Please can someone update me on ER? I've missed the last two episodes as it's on too late on C4 and our VCR has died - and we don't have freeview so no E4. I'll also miss tonight's episode. Kovac has left? Did he and Abby get married? What's happened to her? And what's happened to Ray? Hit by a truck? Job adverts for the ER staff ought to carry a health warning....

KOvac oragnised a secret wedding with ARchie and Hope's help. First of all Abbie did that annoying 'I'm not doing it' thing and was quite slappable but he talked her round and it was a lovely wedding. Lucien had told Neela he fancied her and it turned out his muse, the annoying Chinese intern, fancied Neela as well, so she was spoiled for choice. Archie and Hope copped off and spent 3 days at the honeymoon suite and now they're kind of in love and that was nice I though.

er... Ray had a big fight with Gates and got chicked out, Ray went wandering off and got hit by a truck and no-one noticed til the end of the following episode. Gates asked Sarah to stay with him at his house and his lawyer said he'd have a good chance of getting custody.

and then last week Kovac got a call from home about his dad who is dying I think.

I didn't know about Ray's legs and was totally shocked! But when the ep ended dh and I just looked - if you think about some of the season finales they've had (last season for instance - Sam kidnapped at gunpoint, Abby stabbed, Luka paralysed) and then this year (drum roll please) - Neela falls over! Was quite touched by Tony/Sarah storyline but the rest was a real let down. Shame Ray's leaving - I thought his character was just wasted; no decent storylines or anything...

It just seemed so random and melodramatic - like you say, why not give him a more upbeat departure? Now Neela has even more reason to drift around looking pouty.

And can't believe that was Luka's goodbye - clearing off in a taxi! He'd have got a better send off on Eastenders! Hope they do as they've said they will and bring him back for a few eps next season to finish his story off properly.

My face really was when you saw Ray's missing legs (though less yellow).

Ray thought he had no chance with Neela at the wedding (everyone kept kissing her and she never got to talk to him properly) - he got very drunk, got in a fight with the paramedic guy and left... carried on drinking... she called, he was fiddling with his phone to check message/call her back or something - and got hit by a bloody great bus (also leading to face... and crying )
