i've just watched the next dr who, and it is absofuckinglutely terrifying. i may not sleep tonight.

anyone living in a city with lot of victorian buildings, expect lots of kiddies peeing their pants at the sight of garden and architectural statuary. the 'are you my mummy' one... NOTHING compared to this. [petrified emoticon]

i'm not kidding, by the way. i'd recommend taping and watching it forst to check.

What do you do Aitch (if you don't mind me asking!)

Am v that it obviously involves watching telly!

Aitch - have to say - you have a great job if you get paid for watching episodes of Doctor Who!

It wasn't as scarey as I expected, perhaps because I was pre warned! Very good episode though.

missed the first 10 mins or so - but fab!

That was excellent! Slightly based on a story in one of the annuals that had a character called Sally Sparrow and the Doctor was warning her about things through the tv and stuff. I bought it for dd for Christmas but couldn't resist reading it myself first .

well, i suppose i watched it in the dark...
i'm a tv reviewer, that's how i get them early.

DD is not too happy - freaked her out a bit.

I keep looking at her to check she is still blinking

i did try to warn you, soapy...
in all honesty i thought the last sequence, with the warning repeated and all the other statues, was a bit unneccessary.

Best episode of Dr Who ever IMO - scared the shit out of dd(8) though! Made me scream a fair bit too, but damn it was good.
Ds (12) is loving creeping about pretending to be a weeping angel and freezing, then appearing a bit nearer.
Fab.
Feel very sorry for any of you with younger ones that watched without warning though - have already agreed to dd sleeping in my bed!

scary and great

one of my fears is that statues will move! Argh!

Great though!

a good dr who episode - its been a while since we had one of them.

Thought the last 30 seconds or so were a bit pointless though - look as though they were just there to freak out the kids.

I am a bit freaked out right now.

Was cool though

It was very scarey. Hid my face a few times. Ds not seen it as at his dads, this might be one he misses.

Agree about the last sequence - brilliant but not for children.

belgo · 09/06/2007 20:06

nothing beats the daleks though for scariness, and those scarecrows last week were far worse then the statues.

Really enjoyed tonight's episode but is it me or are DD (5 almost 6) & I really hard 'cos we weren't scared at all. Not sure how she'll be next time we're sauntering round Glasgow city centre admiring the architecture mind you.

PS I thought the scarecrows were much worse too.

scarecrows - bah a flamethrower would stop them.

These though nothing would kill em off.

I just wanted someone to give the statues a bit of a push
